This home is warm and inviting. Current staff, Tatiana, Dawn and Naelli treat all residents with love and respect. Patients aren't rushed to get into the shower, moved around roughly in bed when getting undergarments changed or given large mouthfuls of food when being fed a puréed diet. I can ask a question and if they don't have the answer, they will get the answer. They call me before a medication runs out/expires. They will let me know if there is a change in a resident's behavior, appetite or an issue with skincare. I have had a patient here for almost six months. No skin breakdown. The staff accepts suggestions. This is a very secure home for family members who have dementia. I recommend this home to families who want caring staff taking care of their loved ones. Lilian, administrator, is an RN who is a "hands-on" owner. When looking for a home for a loved one, this is very important. She welcomes suggestions and is available by phone if she is not onsite.

After the fall, her mental state seemed to decline more quickly. She was no longer able to walk and had reverted to her native language, Korean. Her care was no longer adequate and the situation became untenable. We needed to find a place that could communicate with and give my mother the personal care she needed. I searched many places near me but was very disappointed in what I found. In a flash of inspiration, I searched the internet for Korean Senior Care and was amazed to find a board-in care home in the Los Angeles area with that exact name. From the very start, Reverend Han and his wife Rosemary and daughter Phyllis have been amazing to us and to our Mother. They took her in and gave her such loving care, making her a part of their family too. Reverend Han took charge of her health and helped her get back on her feet. I was delighted to see that my Mother recovered from her fall and her memory seemed to improve too! This board-in care home is clean and bright. When I first met the other residents, I was impressed at how well-cared for everyone was. I saw some places during my search that made me so sad for the seniors, but the residents in this home were groomed, well dressed and comfortable. I immediately felt comfortable and so did my Mother. They were making home-cooked Korean food--which may have helped us feel so welcome! Reverend Han told my Mother that she belonged there, that she was part of his family too now. As he talked to her, I saw her visibly relax! I feel blessed to have found them and am immensely grateful for their kindness, love, and care of my Mother... and all the senior residents there. From the first phone call, Kathrina was extremely helpful. She assisted me with everything needed to get my dad moved in; including the transfer from the nursing home to their house, all the paperwork and logistics. My dad's mood and enthusiasm improved immediately. They provided everything he needed, including his own room, physical therapy, food, a full time staff, and doctor care. It was such a relief knowing my dad was in such good and caring hands. And the cost was more than fair, especially considering everything they were doing. My dad celebrated his 84th birthday there, and Kathrina threw a little party for him, with cake and even gifts! It was wonderful. She always made him feel at home, and kept me informed of his condition, responding to my texts or calls right away. Unfortunately my dad never really got his strength back, and passed away on April 5th. But Kathrina arranged for hospice care and transportation to the funeral home. I couldn't have asked for anything more. It felt like she was an angel watching over him during his stay, which gave me and my sister great comfort.
