We've been going to Traci for a couple years now and she has always been amazing for us. Recently I…read moretweaked my back overdoing it as many of us do and I couldn't walk standing straight up I was in so much pain. Well she got me in and by the end of my visit I was able to stand straight up with very little pain and within a day had no pain just soreness in my lower back. Thanks so much Traci! You're a life saver!! Highly recommend to anyone looking for relief in their life!!

I love, love, love Gainesville Holistic Healthcare! I had a fall back in October that resulted in…read moreseveral scars on my face. One was a dime-sized bump above my upper lip that was itchy, red, sensitive, and ugly. It was so painful that I couldn't even go over it with a washcloth and it stuck out so far that you could see it from the side. My other bad scar area was actually inside my bottom lip. This scar was tight and I didn't have any feeling at all in half of my bottom lip. I went to Gainesville Holistic Healthcare to check out microcurrent point stimulation (MPS). The staff there worked with me to find a routine that worked for me. I ended up going twice a week for 15 minutes each to manage all of my scars. By the end of the first month, the scar above my upper lip was flat, less red, and not painful at all anymore. The scar inside my bottom lip was pretty abnormal, but Traci worked with me to find the best protocol. By November, I finally started to get feeling back in my bottom lip, and the scars didn't feel nearly as tight. I seriously can't express how great this place is. The staff are all nice, welcoming, and extremely accommodating. Face injuries are so personal, and they were just as happy as I was every time I hit a new milestone in my healing. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else for my MPS treatments. By the way - their waiting room is awesome. It's full of paintings, jewelry, and candles by local artists, and most are for sale. They also have an awesome selection of natural remedies and CBD products. 10/10!!

I would recommend GMOS to anyone, and everyone. Dr. Cindi Larimer, and her staff, are just a…read morepleasure to meet with and the results that I have had with them are simply amazing. Like a lot of you, I have tried almost every diet there is: Atkins, South Beach, NutriSystem, WW, some very strange ones, and even a number of the other clinics listed on Yelp. As a stubborn male, I was somewhat hesitant to admit that I was severely overweight: let's face it, at 280 pounds, I was morbidly obese. I had been putting off hip surgery for two years because I needed to lose weight to have the surgery --- and I could not lose weight, no matter what I tried! Finally, I went to my family doctor and admitted that I needed help, that I needed a referral to a weight-loss clinic or a nutritionist. I think that's what he had been waiting for; my willingness to admit that I had a weight problem. He immediately sent me to GMOS and Dr. Larimer. I am so glad that he did. Everything else that I had tried had seemed to be a little bit like psuedo-science; they had the miracle cure, quick results guaranteed, and a lot of talk to convince you that they, as opposed to everyone else, were not a con just out to take your money. Dr. Larimer was different, and surprisingly so to me. First, she was an actual medical doctor with many years of practice and experience. Second she is the only Board Certified Obesity Specialist in Florida. Third, she explained the recognized science behind her program: as a scientist myself, I could understand and follow the logic and rationale of her program and appreciated dealing with facts, not platitudes. Fourth, she did not promise any miracles, and even explained why some people simply can not lose weight, especially if they had tried off-and-on dieting many times over the years. Her dedication to the science of obesity and weight loss is what really impressed me. She was not interested in signing me up just to get my money --- she wanted me as a patient only if she thought that I might benefit from her program. She is first and foremost, a doctor: given my age, she had one of her staff administer an EKG, and then she verified that I had no abnormal heartbeat, before she would agree to accept me into her program. And I have benefited from her program. I have now lost 80 pounds and I am well on my weigh (pun intended) to meeting my weight goal. I feel better, I look better, and I am much more active, even with a bad hip. The only downside is that I have gotten rid of almost all of my old clothes in the closet and have had to go out and shop for new clothes (which can be "sort of fun" if it means getting smaller and smaller sizes over time). However, the most important point that I have learned from her is that I am going to have to be aware of my eating habits, and the trade-offs that can be made, for the rest of my life. If, once I reach my goal, I simply return to my old eating/drinking habits, and consume large amounts of sugar/alcohol/carbs, it would not be too long before I was once again up to 280.

I have both health insurance and Humana exam and materials vision insurance. My exam today was an annual exam to get prescription updates for both glasses and contacts. This is covered with a $10 copay with my vision insurance. I did agree for "additional" tests which I was told would be scheduled a few months later which would require the use of my health insurance at that time. However when I left my visit, without having the "additional testing" which I was told would cost $65.00 at a later date, I was presented with a $127 copay, and they used my health insurance instead of vision insurance. I didn't purchase contacts/glasses- and did NOT agree to any additional testing other than what I was told would be scheduled at a later date. Quinn eye center office mgt. chose to use my health insurance instead of my vision insurance adding one item (which I had NOT previously agreed to not been informed of cost) claiming they were "saving" me money. When I attempted to resolve this issue, speaking with both Christine and John Michael, I received 2 different rationales for this cost. I cannot recommend an eye doctor who charges a $127 copay for annual eye exam when the patient has vision insurance that would cover these items with only a $10.00 copay. After appointment, I called my Humana vision insurance representative who indeed told me that both contact and eyeglass prescriptions are included in their annual eye exam with only a $10 copay. It is very sad because we have been loyal patients for years. I CANNOT in good conscience recommend them any more.
