Stephen Gibson and his crew did a wonderful job of "safety thinning" our favorite Magnolia Tree. We had been worried about it as the trunk had several other trunks/large branches that had come out from the main trunk and were at about a 45 degree angle, thus becoming a hazard. We were worried that we would have to take too much off the tree to make it safe again; however, Stephen, being the true Arborist that he is, masterfully trimmed any limbs or branches so that the tree looks GREAT! And now we feel safe being under it! Stephen and his crew also carefully thinned out and trimmed back our beautiful Laceleaf Maple. I have been worried about taking too much off of that one, as well, but I should have known....they did a perfect job, always asking us what we wanted and offering suggestions. I highly recommend them to do any tree work that you have as they are highly recommended! These guys are VERY PROFESSIONAL AND WE WILL HAVE THEM BACK AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT! Steve was recommended to me by my property manager to help with tree pruning and general tree clean up. He had given my property manager a bid for removing some trees and pruning others. I got a meeting with Steve and his dad to walk the property and talk about the bid and what was to be done to each of the trees. It all seemed quite reasonable and we scheduled a couple of days to get it done. We did decide, during the process, to make a change and not cut down one tree which is close to the house, but to prune it for the moment. I must say, I thought things went well considering some unexpected structure problems in one tree which had to come down. The guys were there on time and hauled away all the wood. Stephen and his crew did an excellent job! We have a massive fir tree in the middle of our back yard and wanted to get the canopy raised and and cleaned up a bit from top to bottom before the winds came. When they got to our house they cleared away anything that was breakable and went right at it. These guys were fun to watch and worked like a well oiled machine. They left my yard cleaner than they found it.They even did a little extra trimming on some other trees around our house just because they had room in the truck and some extra time in the day. Steve Gibson has removed 7 trees from my home in the last few years. He is always on time, works safely, crew is well trained, and he leaves my yard cleaner than when he started! His last challenge was a dead walnut tree over hanging the house. He removed every section safely and nothing fell on the roof. There is no one else I'd have removing and trimming my trees. We are buying the property where I grew up from my parents. You definitely could call my mom a "tree hugger". There are some very large cedars on the property that were long overdue for some clean up but she was so terrified that it would kill/hurt the trees. When I showed interest in taking a few logs to grow mushrooms, Stephen and Jim went out of their way to help. They helped me heft a log onto my car's roof, recommended the best type of mushroom to grow in the wood, and even provided a mycologists friend's name for more information. What gentlemen! Gentlemen's Tree Service recently removed a massive silver leaf maple from our property. This is the second time I have used Stephens services. This was a very complex undertaking requiring a crane and coordination with neighboring property owners. I was amazed at how safely and efficiently Stephen and the crew brought the tree down, removed all the logs and cleaned up especially with the temperature in the upper 90's.
