I would recommend this tree service. We had the toughest and very dangerous tree to remove. From the hardest jurisdiction to the location of the tree on the property and little to no space to setup and work, but the crew did a great job and were very safe. It was a very long day but they got it done in a day! Stump grinding had a few hiccups due to the location as well as utilities nearby but Mason got rid of that stump with surgical precision, it was very impressive to watch. Short version: Poor communication, unreliable, rude, greedy, unprofessional, dishonest, and alters prices on a whim to squeeze more money out of you. Long version: Chris came out promptly for the estimate and gave me a fair price for the three things I wanted done, but when I requested that two of the items be removed from the bid, he increased the price of the remaining item by $400. It was never disclosed prior that there would be a fee for removing items from the bid. I decided to pay the extra $400. Chris was supposed to come to pick up the 10% deposit check on a certain day and time but didn't show up the entire day. He showed up two days later. They said they'd put me on the schedule after i paid this 10% deposit, but they never called me. I called them the day after, and they didn't respond. They texted me and said they'd get back to me the same day but never did. I had to call them the following day to finally schedule the work to be done. The day before the work was scheduled to be done, they informed me that they would have to reschedule. I told them what days worked best for me for the following week. I had to reach out to them to ask them what day they were picking because they never bothered to let me know over a period of many days. I decided that I wanted to add one of the items I removed from the estimate back on, and I asked the receptionist if I wouldn't have to pay the extra $400 if I added on that item. She said yes. She said she'd email me a new estimate for me to agree to, but the estimate she sent was the original estimate she sent in the first place, which had three items on it when I only wanted to pay for two. When I asked her to remove the third item, she said Chris would charge me the extra fee if it was not included. This third item, by the way, was just a $350 stump grinding, which I only requested be on the estimate in the first place to inform me how much it would cost, because I was weighing whether I should grind the stumps or leave them at ground level, and my decision would depend on how much extra it would cost. So Chris already knew that the stump grinding was something I was only considering as optional from the beginning. I should never have been penalized for removing an item which he knew from the beginning was optional. After all this, I was extremely frustrated and told them so. The proper response from a company that has a frustrated customer would be to offer a gift card or a discount. In their case, they could have offered to waive the $400 fee. Instead, Chris had the nerve to insinuate that I was the problem and called me "inhumane," despite me never cussing at him or insulting him. He refused to do the work just because I wouldn't pay the $400 for removing an item or pay for the $350 stump grinding I didn't want. This company is rude, greedy, disrespectful, dishonest, and very unprofessional. Find another company. This one deserves to go bankrupt for how they treat their customers. God will not forgive them. read more

Chris was supposed to come between 9 AM and 2 PM to give me an estimate for removing a large pine tree and a medium sized fir tree. I stuck around home all day and he never showed up. No call or text explaining why he wasn't coming. Wasted my whole day. Update: Chris contacted me quickly when he found out what had happened. Initially we had some unexpected delays with getting the service scheduled but it was worth the wait as the guys that showed up clearly knew what they were doing. when it comes to stump grinding, these guys leave a lot to be desired. THe idiot they sent out left a third of the stump above ground untouched - he didn't want o shovel off the stuff he'd ground to see if it was done - so I took my 73 yr old body out to clean up, -had him come back to finish. He came back, but still left another 12 by 6 in chunk that I uncovered while he was loading up to go. third try he swore it was done. When the landscapers showed to level the area, they had to digg out another 4ft by 8in chunk at ground level. I sent multiple texts and photos to the owner -his response was to ignore me. I had Chris and Tofa come out to trim about 30+ very large oaks and some firs. There was a significant amount of dead limbs, wind damage and one tree require a cable to prevent tree from splitting. They brought a 65' lift truck out to get way up the trees. They did not do any clean up, as per the contract. The work that was done excellent, on time and budget. Don't..... careful..... inexperienced and expensive for quality of work. When cutting down tree, let tree section FREE FALL and caused many craters in surrounding ground. Also, there was mud spray on house behind that was not cleaned. Advised would return to cut up large sections into 6' rounds. Never showed. Procrastinated about having another leaning tree removed. These guys are awesome! They responded quickly , came out the next day and gave me what I thought was a very fair bid. It was 30% lower then some of the other bids we received. Halfway into the job they discovered the job was a bit more complex then they had anticipated, because the tree growth got kind kinda crazy about 40 feet up so they had to come out the next day to wrap it up. Chris never asked for extra money , he honored the original bid. The crew came back out and did a fantastic job. His crew left my yard spotless. read more
