I'm not sure how she spells her name but Unique was not only professional but she was helpful, knowledgeable and had a pleasant personality! Her expertise was very helpful in the women's AND men's shoes. Also, with the back wall products that helped out my Birkenstock leather tennis shoe purchase for my sister and insoles for my son. Thank you Unique for making my shopping experience pleasant and giving me knowledge of shoes I probably wouldn't purchase if you didn't share your knowledge of the total shoe. To find myself surrounded by shoes that are beautiful and KNOW they are also healthy for my feet is a gift but it is not even for the shoes. I can buy them on the internet. I know exemplary customer service. It is now so rare for me to experience I truly almost burst into tears the first time I encountered Unique at Gentry's. The experience was transformative. Her genuine warmth, her expertise with her stock, her general knowledge of foot health, absolutely transformed. I am certain I will never buy ANOTHER PAIR OF SHOES ANYWHERE ELSE and if I should have to (because I move or because Unique gets a different job) I will compare every other shoe buying experience to my time in her capable hands. If you might be thinking this stellar review is too much, I double dare you to just try the Unique experience. If buying shoes with her does not feel more like a massage, a manicure, the prefect martini with a kick ass bartender, coffee at the Ritz, challenge me here. Found this place while scrolling yelp for a shoe store that sells good for your feet athletic / work shoes...and it didn't disappoint. ..5 stars for the associate. ..so kind and helpful..im sorry if she reads this and i don't remember her name...young lady with blonde hair...so sweet..i bought 2 pairs of Hokas....they measure and fit your foot to perfection....she showed me different ways to lace the shoes for running vs. Everyday wear...hmm. I never knew that was a thing..... Very pleasant though expensive trip....it was well worth it when im wearing these sneakers and will no longer have back, knee,foot and joint pain.. My old running shoes were falling apart! So I found this place on yelp. I was just going to check them out and see what the had. I was pleasantly surprised by the classy/ boutique vibe they had going on in the store! I was immediately greeted and asked how I could be helped. She then took me over to their little foot machine thing that figures out your arch type so that they can better recommend shoes for you. She helped me choose a few different shoes to try on and let me run in them for a few minutes to try it out. It was the perfect blend of personal customer service and allowing you to make your shopping decisions. They also have a 30 guarantee! I first heard of this store a couple years ago when they had a different name (Seattle Footwear) in a different location (up on Kent East Hill). I initially thought they were a victim of the pandemic, but was happy to discover that they had simply moved and changed their name. They have unique brands and great service. I love my new Haflinger slippers that I got the other day! I notice they have lots of Chacos too, so I will remember that as summer approaches. Great selection and a helpful and friendly staff. A great experience shopping for shoes yesterday. I felt like I had my personal shopper. I sat in the chair while Levi brought several pairs of shoes to try and I found the perfect walking shoe. I was surprised at the selection of shoes including sandals and Dansko. A good selection of Super Feet which was what I was looking for. I was blown away by the great selection of not only tennis shoes but slippers, casual, and work shoes! My very experienced podiatrist recommended getting some orthopedic shoes for my feet problems and gave me a list of top styles and brands and they had all of them! When I looked on Amazon I couldn't get them many times in the color and sizes I need so I was really impressed with thier inventory. The couple that runs the store give Nordstrom like shoe service, were very patient and kind helping to make sure I got the right shoes and were very knowledgeable!
