A week ago I went into Dr. Carr's office with a massive toothache. Dr. Carr took a look at the X-ray and examined my tooth, which he said would need a root canal. Now, I am deathly afraid of Dentists and hearing the words root canal caused a huge amount of anxiety for me. I bit the bullet and scheduled a date to get the root canal taken care of. Every single staff member that I came in contact with was incredibly nice and very knowledgeable. The day of my root canal (today) was a very pleasant experience as well. I felt no pain and Dr. Carr made sure that if I did feel pain to let him know. I have been coming to Dr. Carr for almost a decade. He was referred to me via a friend and I have been a patient ever since, despite not living in AZ for the past 5 years. I make time in my schedule to see Dr. Carr when I come back to visit family...that's how confident and comfortable I am in him and his team. The front office is competent and honestly some of the nicest people. They always fit me in, even when I call only a few weeks ahead. Beverly and Nancy treat me like family, welcoming me with each visit, and explain charges and payment in detail. The dental hygienists are the best, gentle yet effective in getting all those dang coffee stains off my teeth. I love my java...and the skilled magic of the hygienists! Dr. Carr is highly qualified, up-to-date on equipment and procedures, and always explains everything to me. I am never forced to do work I am not comfortable with, however when something is necessary I am told why and how the procedure will be done. Dr. Carr did my front veneers and they are gorgeous. At almost 8 years in my mouth, they shine and make my smile so pretty. Dr. Carr is by far the BEST dentist I have ever been to (and I've been to a million). I've always had major insecurities about my teeth but couldn't find a dentist that would listen to my needs or make me feel comfortable with them doing any kind of work on them...George is the complete opposite! He listened to exactly what I wanted and told me what we could do right away--and suggested a completely different treatment than any other dentist I've seen that ended up being easier (took less than 20 mins) and looks better and saved my teeth!! I couldn't be happier with the results and I can't wait to go back and finish all the other things on my list. His staff is incredible as well--Beverly is the sweetest and called me the next day to make sure everything was feeling right and that I was satisfied. I've been going to Dr. Carr's office since moving to AZ a few years ago. I've never had such a fantastic group of people taking care of my teeth. I've had several cavities filled and just recently had a crown put on in place of an oversized filling. I usually get really anxious about dental procedures but I'm always put at ease when I'm in their office. I haven't had any issues with the work that's been performed and look forward to any and all future procedures being done at Dr. Carr's office. The receptionist is very helpful with scheduling future visits but she is also great at explaining any procedures or answering any questions you have. I had a very bad experience here about a year ago. The staff at the front desk charged me the wrong amount and was very rude to me when I addressed that. The staff was very unprofessional. In addition, later the insurance company sent me the info which was different from what they charged me. I didn't want to adders this again to the staff since they do not have the capacity to do the math and I didn't want to deal with it again. So I just sucked it up. Dr. Carr recrowned my old crown, put too much anesthesia during the process and I felt like a subject when Dr. treated me. Later on, another dentist told me that they didn't need to recrown my old crown in fact. This was the worst dentist visit I ever had. read more

All of my experiences with Dr. Carr have been nothing but positive. I had to get a few fillings done and I literally could've fallen asleep in the chair during the procedure. All of his staff are very professional and kind. I have zero pain tolerance and recently went in to have all four of my wisdom teeth taken out. I'm super happy with Dr. Carr and my dental experience! I have always been a fan of the dentist and having clean teeth yet when you are sitting there with your mouth open it can be awkward! The staff made me feel at ease and walked me through everything that was going on in my mouth. Dr.Carr was super informative during my exam. I really appreciate that he took pictures of my teeth/fillings and educated me on what his recommended treatment plan is. Dr. George Carr and his staff made me feel welcome the moment I walked in. A big thing stood out is I didn't have to wait at all. The assistant I think his name was Chris helped me immediately and explained everything on detail and the ladies at the front desk were very nice and patient with me . Dr. Carr then saw me shortly after and took time to really explain my options with my last remaining and rare baby tooth. This is the first time after I came to us to see a dentist. The place is quiet tidy and clean. It's really close by my house and I go there only takes me 20 mins to drive. Their responses were really fast, every time when I send them email, they replied me immediately. And before every appointment, they will call me before to make sure I remember the appointment and also text me the appointment time for double make sure I was received the exactly correct appointment time as a reminder. When I arrive the place, the officer there are really fast and friendly, also patients to explain everything to me to make sure I can understand everything. Then, they can move on next step of the treatment. They are really professional and familiar with everything. I did my exam before I want to do the Invisalign and will do the deep cleaning and filling before I start to wear the Invisalign. They give me an discount since I don't have insurance and only have a saving plan. In all, it's a good place and good choice to do the daily tooth treatment and Invisalign, I will recommend all international student around me to come over this place to do the cleaning and filling or other treatment. read more

To say I have dental issues is a major understatement. Dr. Carr has now fixed a few teeth, and new crowns. He presents your options and while they may not be what you want to hear, at least in my case, they are the solutions. I've had a number of dentists in the past, and always seems a lack of dental insurance. This seems to be a trend unless you are full time employed somewhere. He does make sure you are comfortable in the chair, root canals are not fun, but there was no pain during any visit. He allocates time for you the patient. His office called the next day to see how I was doing as he worked on gums and other sensitive areas. I drive ways to get to his office if that means anything, I'd recommend him to others. read more

Moved to the Phoenix area not too long ago, I'll be honest I was a bit skeptical as I always am trying to find a new dentist whenever I move. Dr. Carr and his whole staff is great! I have absolutely nothing negative to say. They are all professional, friendly, caring and knowledgable - his office is up to date with the latest technology, which I found impressive. I discovered him through Yelp a few years back after not having been to any dentist for about 15 years. Since then I've had many procedures: cleanings, cavities filled, long overdue wisdom teeth extractions, a root canal and a crown, to name a few. I've always been made to be very comfortable when in the chair and any nervousness has gone away quickly as his staff really cares and listens. After each major procedure, I received a call from his office a few days later to check to see how I was doing. I've not had any issues and pain has always been minimal. After many of the procedures, I've actually been surprised at how easy it went and recovery was a breeze! I have only had great experiences at Dr. Carr's office - they get 2 thumbs up in my book! read more
