I felt rushed during my last appointment and also waited quite awhile to be seen. I was told my glasses would be ready in two weeks. I never received a call or an email or any communication whatsoever. I called today (7th) and my glasses have been ready since the 2nd. I was told they called me on the 2nd. I looked at my phone and no history of a missed call. I came in today to pick up my glasses. One of the staff members adjusted my glasses. I looked in the mirror and noticed they were a bit crooked and was lower on the left side. The right side aligned with my eyebrows and the left was well below my eyebrows. I asked if she can fix it. She told me, "No, that's how they're supposed to be because your ears aren't even." I even laid the glasses on the table to show her how uneven it was. She insisted it was my ears. Wow!!! Not only was the comment rude but her facial expression of annoyance said it all. I left the office quite perturbed. All my previous glasses were even and they laid on the table evenly. I went back to work and asked a few co-workers opinion. They all agreed with me that the glasses were uneven. Because of this experience, I don't even want to go back to this office to get my glasses adjusted. I'll see if I can adjust them myself. They just lost a customer and any future referrals! UPDATE (11/8): I spoke to Nathan, the Manager and he was very apologetic. He was more than willing to make things right for me. I have to give him Kudos for following through on my complaint. However, I'm not sure if I want to go back to their office. The experience really left a bad taste in my mouth.

They brought him to my school to hopefully keep him from being bullied. A friend recommended Dr. Kadet and Hope Clinic. Result: the student's vision therapy changed his life. No longer was he considered in need of special education. He progressed rapidly, graduated from high school with a high GPA, and went on to become a successful young man. We went in for an exam which we were charged over $500 for (we paid less and they billed insurance which they said would not likely cover anything). Once the exam was finished on my squirmy toddler, he had a diagnosis of convergence insufficiency which would require ongoing vision therapy. The way they structure their therapy is to pay almost $15k up front and that includes "everything" and he would likely need therapy upwards of twice a week for a year. Asking for payment upfront was already suspect and turned what was a helpful appointment into what felt like a money grab. When I asked for a report of the exam, they would not give it to me unless I continued services with the doctor otherwise, the new provider could provide a report. It is unfortunate that Dr. Kadet chooses to do business this way as he would likely have more patients if he operated like every other doctor. Instead, not only will we not be getting services in his clinic, but we are also making sure others know how sketchy his practices are. We got a second opinion from the Mary Bridge Ophthalmology Group and the issue was confirmed and we will be doing vision therapy with them and getting re-evaluated every 3 months on progress to determine how long my son needs to go. They will bill insurance and then bill me after every visit just like every other doctor.

Unfortunately I have been too busy to do anything about it until recently. Another optician diagnosed the issue (while my wife was getting glasses) - the scratch resistant coating was peeling off. Apparently the lens warranty was only for a year (its been 13 months). They don't stand behind their product. If it were my business I'd either lean on my lens provider or eat the loss myself. Their answer is to let me keep looking through curdy lenses. I guess its my bad for putting up with it for the last nine months. Now I get to deal with it for another 11 months until I'm due for new glasses (somewhere else). I wish I could write the nasty review for the lens maker - but its on East Hill Vision for peddling crappy lenses.

It took 5 weeks to get her glasses because of the stupid Obamacare insurance we were forced to put our kids on which was not their fault. However my daughter had a small selection to choose from because all other selections were not covered. She found a trendy pair that a lot of the kids are wearing and probably not most parents 1st choice but the Receptionist felt the need to chime in and tell my 10 year old they were too big for her. My daughter chose them any way. We went to pick them up and the same receptionist says 'ah yes the big glasses' I was a little shocked. She then had My daughter try them on and again made another comment then looked at her notes and said 'yep I previously advised against these glasses' I said 'yes I know you have made it pretty clear what you think' I personally thought my daughter looked adorable, but her multiple comments made my daughter insecure and made her want to get another style. Luckily her friends and teachers changed her mind at school today but my feedback to this receptionist is KEEP YOUR OPINIONS TO YOURSELF unless someone asks for it by your client. Clearly, your style sense does not match that of the younger generation.

Earlier today I found a place that was literally down the street from my job, but they wouldn't do the adjustment... Never mine the fact they're under contract and paid for the adjustment by said Eyeconic. Fastfoward to after work, stopped in and less then 10 mins later I was out the door.
