Been having toothache for few days and this morning it was unbearable. I had discovered I had a huge hole in my tooth on Thursday night, which explained why I had been having these painful headaches. I contacted Dr. Soriano's office on Friday morning shortly after his office had opened. Just so happen Dr. Soriano answered the phone, and I explained to him how I was experiencing severe pain due to the hole in my tooth. He asked if I was able to come in by noon the same day. I work close by so I was able to make it there on my lunch break, and back to work within that hour! Dr. Soriano had his assistant take X-rays, and within a couple minutes the results were in. He discovered I had not one but two cavities. He asked if I was able to come back at 7 pm to have the work completed. I was so excited that Dr. Soriano was able to see me & complete the work all in the same day! He was very gentle & quick. I was so pleased with his work, and this will now be my new Dental Office. I've never had such great service in my years of dental experience! Dr Soriano really cares "A LOT" about his patients. He's very considerate & understanding. This was probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I called over a month in advance to find an oral surgeon to do my wisdom teeth removal by putting me to sleep. They said yes they do. So when I arrived for my procedure only for them to tell me that they don't, I was highly upset. The dentist assured me that i would be fine and he'd take good care of me. Unfortunately I had pain during my procedure and felt horrible during the whole thing. Then the pain has gotten worse since the procedure. I called and left a message last week and I'm still waiting for a response because I'm out of pain meds and obviously have dry socket since no stitches were used, which was also ridiculous. I will not come back here. I wish I could get my money back for such poor service and work. read more

My dentist of many years retired so I've been on a hunt for a new dentist as I have a cracked tooth that needed a crown ASAP. One night I noticed the tooth had cracked even more and I knew I needed to find a new dentist soon. I went on yelp and saw Dr. George Soriano have amazing reviews!! I called the next morning at 10 AM and he had told me he'd call back on his lunch break! He called around 1 PM and asked me to send pictures of the cracked tooth so he could examine what happens next. He called back after he saw the pictures and was able to schedule me an appointment to get the crown temp at 5:30 PM the same day! My whole family was shocked that I was able to get an appointment the same day! I got there around 5:20 and had to fill out some paperwork as I'm a new patient and he got right to work! He even drew out a diagram to show me exactly what he was doing which made me feel a lot more comfortable and less anxious! The whole procedure was pretty quick with no pain at all! I was looking for a dentist in the area to extract wisdom teeth. Looked up on yelp, saw the glowing reviews and made an appointment. I was not disappointed! I spent most of my time there waiting for the extraction area to become numb. The actual extraction was quick. Upper wisdom tooth was out in 5 seconds! Lower wisdom tooth was deep and took a few minutes. Still it was out with minimal pain to me. Went home with antibiotics and painkillers. Went today after 3 weeks and everything is healing well. I went in to get my wisdom teeth pulled and the process was super quick! The appointment was for an hour but it was much faster than that. The first 30 minutes you are waiting for the anesthesia to do its magic while laying back in the dentist chair watching some TV. Afterwards, Dr. Soriano quickly and precisely removes your wisdom teeth within a couple of minutes (it took around ~5-10 min total for two wisdom teeth)! Would recommend! read more

So here I am with my review, it took me a while to write this as I wanted to describe my full experience. Background: I had an issue with my hidden wisdom tooth for few years, I did not get it removed as I felt it was complicated and was scared. It started troubling so I gathered courage to find a dentist and zeroed on Dr. Soriano. At first I called the front office and they told me no appointments available for the next 4 months. I did not give up and got lucky speaking to the doctor. He was very polite and accommodating and offered to see me at 10pm at night. I was very humbled and rushed to my appointment. Experience: The moment I walked into the clinic I realized that this clinic is different. It wasn't so sophisticated or fancy looking like other dental clinics. But I realized that focus was on serving right and not showcasing. The doctor took my xray film and then was ready to pull out my tooth. He noticed that I was nervous and assured me that he can remove it without pain. And there he was, he removed the tooth in some 5 mins and I realized only after he told me. Brownie point: He even gave the tooth in a tiny box. This is called going extra mile. I was offered pain killers etc but fortunately i did not suffer any pain or excessive bleeding. Awesome dentist! After leaving my childhood dentist, who by the way asked me to leave when I was 22 (kinda figured when I was the only adult picking a toy outta the giant green frog), I had a couple regular dentists that were crazy rough when it came to the dreaded teeth scrapper. Dr Soriano is uber gentle but gets the job done. He also shows you exactly what's going to be worked on by taking pictures of problem areas. Sometimes the wait can be long but worth the wait. What's best of all is that he works with your insurance companies to make sure you get the best possible options. Even if I moved further away I would still drive out to Newark just for him. I just got my 2 wisdom teeth pulled out today and it was amazing! I was so worried and scared that's why I waited towards the end of the year... It took him less than 15 seconds to pull both out like literally! At first I thought he was just checking it or shaking it... Then he asked me "Are you okay? Do you wanna come back another day?"... I replied "No..." Then I realized that he was already done and was just joking then I started laughing even with those things still inside my mouth lol! Anyway, great Doctor and friendly staff... I knew I needed my wisdom teeth removed when I got a consultation from an oral surgeon in 2018 but he told me I would need general anesthesia and gave me a large bill so I didn't go back. 5 days before I went to Dr. Soriano, I chipped off a part of my top wisdom tooth which started to cause discomfort and a change in my bite so I found which oral surgeon was open near me and came across Dr. Soriano and looking at all the reviews I called. He got me an appointment the next day (this is during COVID-19 so he was only seeing emergent cases). After paperwork and xrays, he started numbing me up. And the numbing took the longest; he numbed me up 3 different times which took about 20-30 mins. When he was about to get started I almost started crying and asking if I need nitrous oxide- he reassured me no. He was right! The top tooth was out in 2 secs and the bottom tooth took about 10 mins because it was horizontal. I'm writing this review a week later and healing well. Will be going back in the future for my 2 other teeth on the other side! read more

Everyone was really friendly and went above and beyond to help me. They were also very good at explaining what was going on at each step of they way. There was a problem with contacting my insurance company but Dr.Soriano did everything to simplify the situation and I really appreciate the time he and the staff spent to do so. Before going to Dr. Soriano, I was going to a dentist across the street who pissed me off so bad by getting whitening products on my lips which resulted in swollen lips for a week and also just did a really horrible/low quality job on my root canal. I'm so thankful that I found Dr. Soriano because not only did he do an excellent job with my root canal, him and his staff are just overall quality people. A lot of professionals will perform a job just to earn their fast money but this place is different from others because not only are they very professional, trustworthy, gentle, honest, helpful...(I can go on forever...) but they actually really do a great quality job leaving their patients satisfied and happy with the results. Dr. Soriano is the best! This is a long overdue review, but I went to him for a wisdom tooth removal about a year ago. I'm usually very nervous when it comes to medical procedures but Dr. Soriano was patient and reassured all my concerns. I had two wisdom teeth extracted, one on top and another on the bottom which I had left in too long that it had grown close to a nerve. My procedure required only local anesthesia and no stitches. The top one took like 3 seconds (not kidding!) and the bottom slightly impacted tooth under the gum took maybe 30 seconds at most. Recovery was fast and I was eating regular food (gently) 3 days after removal! The pain also went away super fast; I only felt a little pain after the initial anesthetics wore off, which I immediately took some painkillers and went ahead to sleep it off. Since then, Dr. Soriano has become my main dentist now even though I live 40 min away! Highly recommend him. read more

We cannot thank Dr Soriano enough for the extraordinary services he provided yesterday for an emergency tooth extraction. I was in so much pain with a nasty infection that I couldn't think straight. Called Dr Soriano's office Saturday late noon and he accommodated me into his already busy schedule. After Xray, Dr. Soriano explained all the options including advising on most effective treatment. Dr Soriano's team was polite, helpful and knew their roles. Dr Soriano is very competent and uses several techniques for extraction, due to which I did not feel a thing, no pressure, no discomfort, zero pain during the extraction. I have a low pain tolerance and get nervous around simple medical procedures, however, in this case, didn't even know when the tooth was out. Dr Soriano was sensitive and transparent towards costs involved and took the time to break it down for us. After the extraction, Dr Soriano scheduled a follow up appointment and I have to say- he has this patient for life. No more being scared of dental treatments and no more avoiding routine dental follow ups. I have been dr Soriano's patient since 2000 and I gone thru molar removals to cavity fillings and teeth cleaning. He is a very good dentist and is very patient. He knows teeth very well and he has a great bedside manner. When he moved from Palo Alto to Newark, me and my family followed him all these years. In short, Dr. Soriano is very experienced, efficient, friendly and hard working. His price is also very reasonable. My tooth with a filling chipped and I was scared of root canal because the filling was very big and it was 10+ years. I called couple dentists and left messages. Dr. Soriano called me back on a Saturday and was able to schedule me an appointment the next week. Everything was very smooth. I got my crown couple weeks later and he could even adjust my retainer to save me a trip to the orthodontist. He also fixed an old crown because it was too high, which made me not able to bite well.
