As I'm a college student I needed someplace that was reliable and cheap, and Safeco was just that. I read plenty of reviews before going and even though many mentioned the appearance was a bit run down, everyone seemed to agree that the service was great. I called on a Saturday and spoke with Ali who was extremely helpful and accommodating. He gave me an estimate that was less than half of what every other shop had quoted me in town, and he instructed me to come in on Monday, since he had to order my specific windshield (quick customer service, huh?) On Monday I arrived, a little skeptical because the previous review made the establishment seem really sketchy, to be honest. However I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The shop was easy to find and it wasn't as run down as I had pictured. The driveway does have a few potholes that have apparently been a losing battle for them in the past (thanks to all the rain here) and sure, the waiting room is tiny, but honestly they are so quick you aren't there for very long anyways. And for the record there were no "girly pics" inside (nor did I ever get the impression that there had been.) My car was taken back almost instantly, and over the next 45 minutes I happily chatted with Ali while they worked on it. He was very pleasant and immediately put me at ease. He was even nice enough to give me an additional student discount once my car was finished. I waited to write this review because I wanted to give it a week to see if my window had any seepage or anything from being put in improperly. I'm happy to report it was expertly installed and there are no such issues (though Safeco offers warranties in case there is.) Overall I would recommend this place to anyone needing a window repair, body work or mechanic services. Their work is great, the people who work there are extremely friendly and I would easily take my car here over the dealership or the chains that are rude and try to sell you additional services that you don't need.

I had to pay $100 before their mobile service arrived, only for them to tell me they could not repair the exact chip and crack I had described in detail. I then called David, and within minutes, he repaired the chip and crack impeccably. He even went beyond the repair by pointing out that I could adjust my rearview mirror to get a better field of view through the front windshield while maintaining the mirror's effectiveness. Additionally, his integrity blew me away. David refused to take my payment until I got my money back from Safelite. In my experience, it's rare to find that kind of commitment to customers. Not cheap, but exactly what I needed. Didn't even ask about the price since I trusted Acme. I was replacing existing wood shelves. Ordered over the phone. They were not made the correct size. I needed 22", and they were 25". Kristen who assisted me immediately went into "I checked my notes and I ordered what you said, so we can't help you with a discount." I wasn't looking for something free. Maybe just a little consideration...REGARDLESS of whose error it was. All she was concerned about was placing blame. Here's her voicemail message transcript: "Hi Hank, this is Kristen with acme glass. We re-ordered those pieces of glass for you and the total was one 5247 unfortunately there was nothing I can do to kind of like. Do any kind of discount because we didn't necessarily do anything wrong from ordering it but the glass is here. It's ready for pick up again." It's all about blame. Forget about 20+ years of loyalty. Even if she'd told me that because their mark up was really tight she couldn't help, that would have been something. But the basic tone was "We were right, you were an idiot, so screw you." I just spoke with her on the phone and she told me that my loyalty had nothing to do with any assistance. Now keep in mind that I meticulously measured since I had existing shelves. We recently hired ACME Glass to replace two windows in my son's home. Unfortunately, we had a very…read morenegative experience with this company. After the technicians left, we discovered pieces of glass all around the guest bedroom on the furniture and comforter, pillows, decorative blankets, etc. We also found large and small pieces of glass outside in the yard, patio, and driveway in multiple locations. Despite voicing my concerns to the owner of the company, Mitch, I never received a call back or resolution to this issue. To make matters worse, ACME Glass charged me for the rest of the job without addressing my concerns. As a result of their negligence, I had to replace all of the bedding in my guest room and spend hours cleaning up glass pieces from my property. The pieces of glass ranged in size from pebble-sized to as big as the palm of my hand. To say the aftermath of their blatant carelessness was stressful is an understatement. While Mitch was professional when I spoke with him, he failed to follow through on his promise to call me back and address the issue. In my opinion, this lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for glass replacement services. The technicians who came to my home were careless and left behind a dangerous mess that could have caused serious injury to myself or anyone else who came into contact with it. I can't imagine if this had been a child's room. Photos do not do justice - the glass in the guest room was literally everywhere as they brought a saw in to cut the old glass out but did zero prep or protect to the room before. Overall, I would strongly advise against using ACME Glass for any glass replacement needs. Their poor service and lack of accountability are unacceptable.

Arrived there to drop off my car and they made the whole process very quick and easy, and also made sure I had a ride to enterprise rental car in a timely manner. As for the body work done on my car, it looks better than before the accident. When picking my car up today they asked me if i wanted to keep the headlight that was replaced, which was a small gesture but definitely earned some points in this review. Overall, a great "Semi-family" owned body shop that I will come back to if I needed any more work done on my car.
