They cancelled my appointment for a windshield replacement two hours before the start of my service window because this district will not service vehicles before 2000. No one contacted me in the several days since I made the appointment, so I wasted a day of PTO and wasted time preparing the vehicle for service. Their system will let you schedule an appointment and pay for service for vehicles made in 1949, but they will not service vehicles made before 2000. read more

I have to admit I was a little upset when I realized they couldn't come to my house to put my windshield on.... But then they explained how my car is equipped with cameras and everything has to be calibrated so that it works properly. That's awesome that they just didn't blow me off and do it anyways. The reason for more than doubling the price of windshield replacement given by employees is that they use equipment that cost $30,000. I am sure the mobile service vans cost more than $30K, but Safelite isn't charging mobile customers more than twice the price for that service. read more

The office workers and technicians alike were friendly and accommodating. Not only did they replace a 22-year-old windshield, but also kept me in the loop as I waited in the office. The entire team was honest and didn't try to force any extra costs on me, which is really essential to a positive car maintenance experience as a young adult. Really surprised with the work done here. The job didn't seem all that great and I had to register my car for the new year, so I was worried. But low and behold, I passed the Texas state inspection with flying colors. They sealed the dime sized chip on the windshield, no problem, but I'll reiterate: the job didn't seem like it would hold-up or even look that great, honestly. I was under the impression that the filler epoxy-type stuff would completely make the windshield look whole again, like nothing has happened, but it does leave a visible mark. But that's fine, because now I understand what's being done. They fix your chip/crack so that it STOPS GETTING WORSE. Meaning, the sooner you get to them (or they to you) the better. I got my windshield fixed within about 3 hours of the incident; could have done it sooner if I ditched my meeting, there were several near immediate repair options that Safelite made available to me and I really appreciated that. Anyhow, I'm going to attach a photo or two so you can see what I mean, but don't fret, as I stated before I managed to pass with this exact windshield. It's sealed and sealed well. I haven't heard back whether my insurance will reimburse me on this (I have the general), so keep in mind that this is the out-of-pocket experience I had with Safelite. I had a horrible experience with this Safelite. I scheduled with them for the convince factor and that they would come to my home to fix the crack in my window. They advised they would be there on a certain day at a certain time and i waited patiently at home. An hour before they were supposed to be there they advised they could nor come out because they did not have my windshield available and i would need to reschedule and being my car to them. Uh...inconvenient. None the less i had to have it fixed because it was in my line of vision. I took it in and they fixed it. I paid the bill only to be called 2 months later to have them tell me they billed me wrong and i owed them more money. They stated they only charged me for recalibrating my windshield. Excuse me. That would be your fault for not knowing what the hell was going on. I asked them to send me an invoice so i could review the the charges and they drafted it out of my bank account because i had used my check card to originally pay without my permission. I'm sure they do pretty good work, my problem is not with the quality of work, but the quality of how they run their business. I got a chip from a rock on my windshield and got online to get a quote and schedule repair. was told that a tech would be at my house between 8:00am and 12:00pm that day, no problem, I waited until 1:15pm and called them to find out what was the holdup. The guy told me that all techs were out on their scheduled runs and they probably haven't even seen my work order until they get back in the evening. So no repair on Friday. He told me they were open tomorrow, Saturday, and I could make an appointment to get the repair done at their shop. I made an 11:30 appointment. Got there at 11:20 and signed in and gave them my keys. I sat there and watched them pull 2 vehicles into the bay for windshield replacements. Around 12:05, a truck pulled into the parking lot and parked. Within 2 minutes, they put him into an open bay, at 12:10 I asked for my keys and left. I don't understand why they get you to make an appointment and then don't even start your repair anywhere close to that time. I'm definitely telling everyone I know that they made me feel that me and my repairs are unimportant to them. Thanks Safelite, for screwing me over, two days in a row. read more

Safelite's quote was the cheapest and they probably have the best reputation and so I went with them. The next day, a service person showed up at my door on time and within 2 hours had my windshield replaced. He was courteous and professional. My husband broke the rear window of his pickup truck. A friend who does window repairs told us that he didn't do these kind of repairs. He warned me that it was probably going to cost close to $1000. I came here because of the good reviews and cheaper quote for my rear windshield replacement, but left disappointed. The receptionist was on the phone when I arrived, but didn't welcome me after it was over until 20 minutes later. I was happy to get a lower quote for the replacement, but was hoping the technicians could tell me why my windshield shattered randomly. I had to ask the receptionist a few times if she could relay my question, which she finally asked. I was told that there may be some glass shards that weren't vacuumed after they took out my old windshield, but what I didn't expect was the shifting of 50-100 dime sized glass shards in my trunk as I drove. Maybe the technician missed them as they were replacing the windshield, but it came as a big surprise to me when I opened my trunk later. read more

I was much more satisfied with my second service here (windshield replacement) than I was with my first service (chip repair). My technician, Justin Crawford, went above and beyond what I expected. He vacuumed, replaced my stickers, and washed all of my other windows. I was also greeted and helped with pricing by another friendly associate but I do not remember his name unfortunately. My advice to any future customer is to listen to any warnings your technician tells you, because they know what they are talking about. I would highly recommend this location. I'm sorry to say I was completely disappointed with the quality of workmanship here and with the office staff. When I left there and got on the highway, the windshield was rattling like it would fly out. Of course they were closed then, after noon on Saturday. When I got home and started really looking at it I noticed they had bent the side moldings up to put the windshield in and they were permanently bent and sticking up in a couple of places. I went back there on Monday to show them and tell them about the noise and they acted they didn't see anything wrong. Long story, short they sent a Senior Tech to my work to re-set the windshield, which fixed most of the noise, and he tried to fix the molding but it is ruined. So, when I get up to 75-80 on the highway the windshield still makes a slight creaky, like settling noise! So I called again and, in their defense, they did call and wanted their Quality guy to come and drive it to hear the noise, but at this point I told him I didn't want them to touch it again. The moldings are already ruined and I figured taking the windshield out again would only make them worse. Done with Safelite. I will replace the windshield and moldings with factory parts as soon as I can afford it. So the bottom line is, they told me this windshield would be just like the factory replacement except for the water repelling feature, and that is what I expected. Not at all what I got. I have been almost physically sick over this. I wish I had left the cracked factory windshield in. If you have a Toyota 4Runner with a factory windshield that needs replacing, you might want to really do your research on Safelite. read more

I brought my car in to have the window replaced, was suppose to happen the same day (tuesday). First they didn't have the right glass, it would be on the truck the next morning (wednesday). Got a call saying they were starting on my car so I head up there, I live an hour away. I get a phone call half way there saying the glass wasn't even on the truck, that it would be on it the following day (Thursday). Get a call Thursday morning saying my glass is not on the truck that it's lost once again. This is now 3 days without a car because of them losing my glass that I had prepaid. I kept getting told it would be the next day, and i got tired of it. That glass cost me $400!!! I picked up my car, and I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone!!! They are way over priced, take to long, and sit there and lose your glass. Huge inconvenience in my part, wasted so much gas going back and forth just because they told me my car was being worked on to find out they lied. Went down the road to BCS auto and paid $197 and thats labor included!! Even got it a few hours later, so I highly recommend going somewhere else, look around your area. The first experience I had with Safelite was good, they replaced my windshield and it was all fine. I went to get another vehicle repaired because there were two very small cracks (smaller than a dime), & I didn't need to replace the windshield. Safelite said that the pressure that they will have to put on the windshield, in order for the chemical to stick, could possibly crack the glass more, but assured me that it would not crack anymore afterwards. 4 days later I have a crack halfway across my windshield & I went to show them, hopefully get it replaced, & they tell me there is nothing that they will do. My husband goes to talk to them and they say the same thing, that it is not their fault and claim no responsibility for the damage. read more
