We sat at the bar and were served promptly by a couple of friendly young servers....they were great throughout. I had a delicious omelette with cheddar, bacon, and hot peppers. The gas were fluffy and the peppers were fantastic. You can't beat their toast on Italian bread. The shredded potatoes were perfect. The wife had 2 scrambled eggs with sausage and toast....excellent. Best Breakfast in Pittsburgh so delicious and fresh with excellent staff. My Dad was with me and is a Vietnam Vet and was wearing his ball cap with that on it, a very nice couple paid for mine and my Dad's breakfast and the waitress said he said to say how much he appreciated my Dad for serving our country the people here in Pittsburgh are so very nice it is the best place to live. Emily was our server and was fantastic. She seemed to be at the table the moment we sat down and took our order right away. The food came very quickly and we were in and out of Kelly's in about 30-35 mins. The highlights for me was the kielbasa and hot sausage patty. Both were moist, but not greasy. The eggs and the pancakes were standard, but also not something that I had to keep going back for bites. My husband said his omelet was a little dry. I didn't try it so I can't give him opinion on it. The bread itself was good, but quite dry even though there was some butter on it. All in all, a great place to grab breakfast. read more

Kelly Oooooo my goodness! This place is great! There was a bit of a wait when we arrived, but it's abundantly clear why after enjoying our meal: it's awesome. (Plus, this is not a huge restaurant - it's a diner through and through. Loud and crammed full of people eating and talking.) Our server was a delightful young lady with a wonderful attitude and a work ethic to match. She promptly took our drink order and was smiling and attentive throughout the entire meal. Terrific hospitality! But what is great service without great food? We started our meal with a cinnamon roll and fresh squeezed orange juice. That set the tone for what was a great meal. The fresh squeezed orange juice was refreshing and a welcome surprise. And the cinnamon roll was homemade and delectable! For the main course, my wife had the Pittsburgh (kielbasa, pirogies, eggs, and hollandaise sauce) with shredded potatoes and a pancake. My mom had blueberry French toast. Last but not least, I had the turkey club w/ French fries and a cup of Pittsburgh chili. We all savored our meals. I will point out the turkey club was not the run of the mill turkey lunch meat and boring bread. This was legit carved turkey and nice hearty Texas toast. And the chili? Wow!! I'd eat that over and over! It has a great flavor and a noticeable kick of spice but not overpowering. It pairs perfectly with a cold sandwich like a turkey club; they offset each other temperature-wise but make for an enjoyable combined flavor. Kelly O's has always been one of my favorite places for breakfast, but they recently increased their prices again. 10-20% increase across the entire menu. The price for our usual breakfast for two here has gone from $30 two years ago to over $45 (before tip) on our most recent visit. Portion sizes and food quality appear to be decreasing as well. My Hot Mama eggs Benedict only had about 2 ounces of hot sausage on it and the tiny portion of home fries served on the side was burnt and cold. My wife's scrambled eggs came out cold as well. Spending $50 on a mediocre breakfast for two just doesn't make sense. We'll be taking our business elsewhere in the future. Sorry Kelly O's, we used to be your biggest fans... read more

Sat at the counter thinking the service would be better. Nope. Ordered the Eggs Benedict. Turns out they don't use Hollandaise sauce, which is critical to EB. Terrible. Coffee was good; was offered a second cup when I was paying my bill. So $4 for a cup of coffee at a diner while sitting at the counter thinking the service would be good. Kelly Os hits every single time. This place is our breakfast spot, and we've never had a bad experience. Quick service, delicious diner grub, and a Triple D joint make for a great start to the day! The protein breakfast is plentiful (turkey sausage right off the griddle gives that classic diner taste), and my wife always gets Seana's favorite, which has the perfect salty, sweet combo. My omelette was delivered before I could read even ONE news story on my phone! One of the best omelettes I've had since I moved to PGH. The fried potatoes tasted like REAL POTATOES and not some low-fi, re-used shortening like at some places. My husband, son, daughter-in-law, and I went to breakfast on Saturday, May 2nd, around 10:40 am. My husband and I were visiting from Georgia, so we wanted to try your restaurant. We were seated at a round table in the front of the restaurant. We had finished and paid for our meal, but I was finishing my coffee while talking with family, whom I don't get to see but two to three times a year. We were there for about 40 minutes. I understand the establishment was busy, but another couple at the other round table had only two adults and a baby, and they were also finished. A man who was seating customers came up to our table alone and insinuated that we leave because other people were waiting to be seated. A staff member's actions have never offended me so much. This incident was brought to the attention of other family members who have dined at your facility, and I can assure you they will no longer be patronizing your restaurants. The staff member basically told us that we had bought your food and that we should now leave. I hope such behavior isn't a normal practice for you, because it's bad business. We've never experienced such treatment with any other popular breakfast establishment, even when they were busy. read more

My first visit to Kelly O'Diner in Warrendale was quite an experience. I arrived with a friend for breakfast right at 8 o'clock. The place had plenty of available seating at that time, but it got progressively busier. Within 10 minutes of placing our order, our breakfast was served. We were sitting and chatting and to our surprise we were asked to leave because there was a line out the door. I opted for the breakfast sandwich, and my friend went with an omelette. When I inquired about their scrambled eggs, I learned they were made with real eggs and included non-dairy creamer. A side of raisin toast, which came at a somewhat hefty price of five dollars for 2 slices. However, the waitress assured us it was made in-house with no preservatives. The restaurant was clean and the waitress was very pleasant.. A sign was posted indicating a 3.5% credit card surcharge. Check your bill to make sure this charge is not on your bill before paying cash. As we left the restaurant, we noticed that the Food Network and Triple D has visited the restaurant. read more

Cute location of the classic Pittsburgh Kelly O's diner. The space inside is small and there's often a wait. Service was very friendly and the food came out insanely fast. I had a classic breakfast-egg cooked over easy, crisp bacon, fruit, and toast. Coffee hit the spot too. It's right down the street from my brother's house and made a perfect meetup for breakfast with him and my parents (and my daughter) when we were visiting over the holiday. read more

I was in town and needed some breakfast. I have been to Kelly Os before while traveling but was with a group. This visit I did on my own I enjoyed sitting at the counter. The place was clean. I did notice a Jura coffee machine - I probably could have ordered a latte but stuck with traditional coffee. My server was on it, she kept my cup filled. The food was great. Rough start to my experience, metal chairs felt like I was sitting on a block of ice. My over medium egg on my bagel turned out to be over easy egg on my pants. Total disaster. My husband and I went to Kelly O's in the strip a couple years ago, take out, due to COVID. It was good, but fresh food is always better than take out. We went to Kelly O's in Warrendale this morning and had a pleasant experience. I got Seana's (I think that how it was spelled) favorite breakfast which includes 2 eggs, choice of 2 meats, and choice of pancakes or French toast. I got scrambled eggs, which were a little more runny for scrambled eggs than is usual, four pieces of bacon, and two pieces of Italian bread French toast. While I enjoyed the meal, it was nothing "special" My husband got the Pittsburgh Eggs Benedict with home fries. He really enjoyed his meal! Pierogies and kielbasa made it unique and delicious. We had an unplanned breakfast at Kelly O's today. The place has a real diner feel even though it's in a strip mall. Service was diner prompt. The breakfast menu was typical, as was the food. We had eggs Benedict and eggs and bacon. The side of home fries was unremarkable but the fruit was nice, fresh. We paid in cash because there is a 3.5% surcharge for using a card. That's kind of ridiculous in a world where no one pays cash for anything and breakfast for 2 is $40 with the tip. We rarely go out for breakfast and Kelly O isn't changing our policy. read more

My first visit to Kelly Os didn't disappoint. This is the epitome of a Pittsburgh diner and you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I was super tempted by the Pittsburgh benedict -- eggs, kielbasa and pierogies on a slice of Italian bread -- but opted for an omelet with kielbasa and Swiss instead. My omelet came with what I consider "real" home fries -- the thin, sometimes crunchy kind that are fried on the grill (with onions) -- and Italian toast. Everything was amazing. My fiancé raves about his BLT, too -- and I consider him a connoisseur. This might be our new go-to breakfast spot. They also have an espresso menu -- my chai tea latte was great -- and the lunch menu looked good! read more

My waitress, Alyssa, is wonderful - she has an engaging personality, obviously loves being among people, and hustles to make sure everything is done right. Stopped in on a weekday morning and things here were humming along. Plenty of seating with an outdoor patio option for those interested too. Our waitress was friendly and came by frequently to check on us and top off our waters. I got the Pittsburgh Eggs Benedict which came with the classic hollandaise sauce and two poached eggs over fried onions, kielbasa, and pierogis with a side of potatoes. Food came out very quickly and tasted great! My wife did a build-your-own breakfast option with French toast, eggs and bacon and she said was pretty good too.
