    Bacon cheeseburger and fries

I'd like to start this by saying I wish I would've tried this place years ago! I recently came with a friend and was really impressed with the older style atmosphere and design of the place. The food was unbelievably good for the price you couldn't beat it. They have by far one of the best burgers in town and really great homemade fries! The servers were great very fast attentive and made great drinks! Will definitely be back :)

A great dive bar in downtown Canton! Burger was delish and fries extremely fresh and tasty. Came as part of Stark Restaurant Month and want to try more of their burgers!

Great tasting, unique combinations on a perfectly cooked burger served along hand cut fries (other choices available) in a welcoming, interesting environment. Lots of parking (free) old movie posters, giant bar, and live music (unfortunately not on the Wednesday night we were there). Adult milkshakes and $5.00 drink specials topped off this really good experience for us as we were passing through Canton.

George's Lounge was a bit meh. It's been around for quite some time and it has a prestigious reputation. the burger was just okay. Kinda noisy, as expected, but the sauce overload killed the flavor. Not sure if I'll give it another shot.

We love coming to this long-standing establishment when we are in the mood for a good burger at a good price. The restaurant definitely gives off a divey feel but that's part of its charm. George's offers monthly burger and drink specials, alcoholic adult milkshakes, tasty sides like kale chips, fried cheese curds, and pretzel bites, and delicious grass-fed burgers served on fluffy pretzel buns. They have a plethora of house-made sauces to accompany their homemade snacks and burgers. Most weekends, they feature local music and if you download the Visit Canton Experience app, they post dining specials. We came for Canton Restaurant week and enjoyed two monthly drink specials, a shared app of cheese curds, and two burgers - one with kale chips and one with house cut fries - all for $36. Such a great deal!

This was the worse burger I ever ate. The lettuce was wilted and the burger burnt so bad Not only crunchy char but dry like eating sand. I will never patronize George's Lounge.

Divey burger joint. I tried the grass-fed, local burger on the waffle with the spicy maple mayo. Fries are delicious and fresh cut. Shared the appetizer sampler and we tried the beer cheese dipping sauce. Really good stuff. Great, quick service. Diverse selection of draft beers. One complaint: it was incredibly hot in there. No a/c on a rare 90 degree day in September. I don't have cajones, but if I did it wouldn't matter, because I would have been sweating them off. Other than that: awesome.

King George Burger + Italian Festival Fries
    Kevin P.

Definitely one of the better places in the area to get a burger. I got the King George Burger (blue cheese crumbles, jerk spice, bacon, sauteed mushrooms, egg bun) and really enjoyed it. The crispy bacon complimented the creamy blue cheese well and added a totally different dynamic to the burger. The meat was cooked to a medium as asked and tasted great. I upgraded my side order of hand cut fries to the "Italian Festival" option covering the fries with garlic, herbs, and balsamic reduction. Unfortunately I was looking more for a garlic fries option and although this one was suggested, the balsamic flavor was definitely overpowering. If this is something you're looking for though, I would definitely recommend it. Talking prices, the burger is definitely worth its price at $8.99. Coming from Los Angeles, I'm used to paying $12+ for the exact quality and taste. There was an additional charge of $3 for the upgrade on the fries which was worth it in my opinion. The only cost that surprised me was the normal sized (20 oz) bottled Sprite I added that came out to $3. Overall, definitely enjoyed my experience and I will be back in the future. The best burger I've had in the entire Canton area without a doubt.

We ordered the combo appetizer to share (boneless wings, crooked fried cheese, and crispy fried pickles) and I got the strawberry quinoa salad while the others in our party had burgers. The crooked fried cheese was a fun shaped mozzarella stick and was decent, and the fried pickles didn't have a huge amount of breading on them which I appreciated. The strawberry quinoa salad was actually quite good, I just wished there were more strawberries. The balsamic dressing that came on the side was tasty too. The others I was with really enjoyed their burgers and fries. They also have a few mocktail options which I saw too late unfortunately, so I will have to try one of those next time! For example, the Cheesy Burger is $8.49, but you can variations of combo add ons like tator tots and a drink (add $6.99) to make it a meal deal. The Cheesy Burger was unique with four slices of cheese and an inverted bun (bun flipped outsides in). I added the tator tots and regular drink for $6.99. The tator tots come with a choice of sauce. I highly recommend the chipotle mayo for dipping, but may be too overpowering on a burger. The downside to the Cheesy Burger was the grease dripping down your hand as you're trying to eat it. However, it all adds to the awesome experience. The drink area was your typical Coca Cola options with a side drink area of various lemonades. I tried the Strawberry Hibiscus Lemonade which was tart and delicious. As far as overall experience, order food at the kiosk or the counter and have a seat. The food and shakes will be brought out to you. The signage advertises hand scooped shakes. The staff is friendly and always smiling (atleast during our visit). This place was dead, so you'd think it would be spotless. Our table was dirty with crumbs and ketchup smeared on the empty napkin holder. There was trash on the floor and dishes stacked above the garbage ( we were the ONLY diners the entire and after when we walked over to NBC ). Overall the place was pretty dirty considering there was no business. Would I be back, the prices didn't match the portions and they place was dead and dirty. This used to be SMOKE and I miss it. The Bad (or Bad-ish): Howlin Sauce: incredibly hot/spicy for just a sriracha based sauce. i eat lots of hot and spicy dishes. it wasn't that it tasted bad - in fact, quite the opposite - but it scorched my tongue like nothing has in a while. No Chill (ha): Danielle's chicken and waffles was swimming in syrup so by her waffles were soggy as hell by the time she'd finished. she still loved the meal and just said she'd ask for it on the side next time. Messy: when we arrived, we saw a number of parties leaving one after another. i assume this would be the reason that most of the tables were covered in dirty dishes and empty cups and glasses. since you order at the counter and seat yourself, servers are not around to check on you or the state of the restaurant. so, tables remained messy for a little while before they were cleaned up. Ordering: i don't like the ordering at the counter and lack of server service. the place doesn't look to be set up that way. you'd think there would be servers as it's kinda like a larger bar. instead you order, sit, wait for your food and you're on your own. it's a little like BW3 was back in the day. Slow: seemed to take a long time for chicken fingers. not a huge deal, but i wouldn't have guessed it'd take so long. i don't want to give the impression, though, that it was more bad than good. the food definitely outweighed the negatives. it's a long way from home but i'd go back for sure. i'd like to try some wings and some other sides as well as some of their appetizers.
