The ambiance isn't anything special, but fortunately the food is! They had a shish-kebab special and I thought it was flavored just perfectly. I also tasted a little bit of the meat from the Philly steak and that was yummy too. My dining companion said the fries were perfectly crips and tasty. It wasn't crowded at all on a late Saturday afternoon and the service was fast. I had seen Groupons for this place, which made me wonder how good it would be, but I wasn't disappointed one bit. I think it's kind of a weird location, so they probably do have to go out of their way to advertise to the masses. My parents like to eat there and they said it is never too busy, but always a solid choice. (We all tend to dine at weird hours though.) My wife and I went here for the first time last week. We arrived at 6:30 and there were maybe 10 other people there and lots of seating. However we were strongly encouraged to sit at the bar because of reservations they had for later in the evening. Ok, no big deal. A poster for a band playing later that evening said it started at 9:30, yet the band was (loudly) practicing already at 6:30, making it difficult to hear one another. Once seated at the bar, the bartender was very attentive and helpful. She took our drink and food orders quickly, and brought out our appetizer pretty fast as well. We ordered the loaded nachos with chicken. A large plate of nachos arrived. While the taste was ok, it was basically 80% nachos and cheese and 20% chicken and other toppings. Shortly after, our main entrees arrived: hot wings for my wife and shrimp tacos for me. The shrimp tacos were excellent and the shrimp itself had a nice Cajun seasoning. Mine came with a side of fresh thin cut fries that were also excellent and well seasoned. My wife reported her wings were definitely hot and also cooked very well. Overall the main entrees were very good. The loaded nachos were good also, even if they weren't particularly loaded. Other than the sound level from the band making it hard to hear one another from a foot away, this is a nice spot to enjoy a few drinks and some good food. I was pleasantly surprised with the great food here! I drive by this place every day, but just considered it a local bar/hangout for the younger crowd. I saw a Groupon with pictures, looked up reviews (most were good) and decided to give it a try one Sunday for lunch. The food was excellent, the salads fresh and the sandwiches were huge! I loved the chili with just the right amount of "kick". Except for being a little messy in the dining room area (think band the night before) and the usual bar smells I think this is a great restaurant/bar and I will be back to try the dinner entrees soon! read more

The waitress stated we have any drink you want when I asked for a drink menu that they don't have , so me and my husband ordered Mai Tia's she left came back we don't make those! We ordered lobster roll which was supposed to come with homemade chips got greasy fries, I ordered mussels now mussels are good in a nice tomato sauce these came dry with dry chopped tomato and cheese on top , didn't need the bread nothing to sop up dry as hell. Had a groupon for here, i love the atmosphere and the service is quick and attentive even when short staffed and we sit far away from the bar. I love the choice of music mostly rock from the 80s-90s. So 3 visits 3 different meals all of them are great the home made fries can have too much salt on them but if you ask ahead of time they make sure to remedy that. Through the COVID pandemic stay at home order I have gotten to try some local restaurants, which has been a huge benefit. The other night we had heard very good things about the Ignorant Owl, so decided to give it a try. We did curbside carry out and they were very prompt to get our food out to us. We tried it on Taco Tuesday so they had tacos as a special. My husband tried the fish tacos and said he really enjoyed them. The fish in the tacos were grilled, so he way very happy about that. I tried the beef taco and a chicken taco. Both were excellent as well. We also tried the street corn which was amazing and the cheesy potatoes which I would absolutely get again. My son got the 1/2 rack rib meal and got 2 meals out of it. He said the food was amazing. It came with coleslaw and the cheesy potatoes. He never likes coleslaw, but said this was good. My fiance, myself and my parents went here one night for the 90's band, it was halloween weekend so it was pretty packed but even with that many people the bartenders kept up with the drinks like pros. So we only stopped here because every yelp review mentioned how good the food was. It was so good! Definitely better quality than your typical bar food. We got the chicken sandwich (I think it was called the bird of prey) and it was hands down the best chicken sandwich we've had! Not to mention the fries are fresh. Went there the other day, the service wasn't good at all. Very unprofessional. The beer was warm and the food took forever to come out. My boyfriend gave the waitress his card before seeing our bill (big mistake) it came back at $66 dollars which was beyond what we ordered. I'm pretty sure the server included a tip on the bill (he still tipped her $10)which we never got just a receipt with a charge of $66 dollars. No food items were on it. I would give it a two, if I actually got some type of service. There were people on the patio, inside and the lights were on, giving the impression this bar was still open at 1:25am. My friend and I walked in, went around the bar to the beautiful patio (only reason I even rated the bar. It was beautiful) . We waited a good 25 minutes before I asked another patron if they had a bartender or if it was serve yourself? When they said oh, I think they stopped serving at one, but I could make you something if you like? I figured I wasted enough of my time there and went acrossed the street. Not a single person who worked there spoke to me or my friend. Was one time seen cleaning or checking on customers. Almost a whole half hour was gone before, I myself had to speak up to find out they weren't closed, but no longer serving drinks. My friend never gets a chance out of the house bc her daughter is on machines to keep her alive after a freak accident at a water park in FL. Last summer. We were kind of bummed because she got a babysitter from 1-3 am so we could catch up, out of her home and she could breathe a little. Just sucked going into a bar and having absolutely no welcoming service, let alone service at all. I know as a bartender, 25 min is a bit long to leave your bar unattended. Went to see a band, got there early only to find all but a few seats at the bar were reserved. Sat at the bar, but was never even offered a menu to look at. Barmaid served me a beer, then a bartender saw that my beer was not on a coaster and tossed one at me instead of handing me one or putting one under the bottle. all said, will NEVER return. read more

I can't comment on the food since I was unable to receive any. We stopped in for dinner, ordered and waited for 40+ minutes. On 3 occasions the server informed us that our food was coming, once even saying it would be out in one minute. I purchased a Groupon for here while I was visiting Canton. We spent the day at the Football Hall of Fame. When we pulled up, we had our doubts. When we entered, there were no other patrons in the place. Then I had to remember, this is a pub/bar. I am sure it gets the bulk of their in the evening. This place was super neat! I could stay here all night just for an interesting place to lounge about and enjoy the sight on an otherwise boring night. The theme is purples, neon greens, all on a dark setting. Awesome atmosphere. And the art! Wow! So much skilled artwork displayed in this place. Each bar stool had a different artistic piece on it's seat. The walls had art, the food itself.... also art! They have been open three years. And the food of course is EXCELLENT. They have a lot of home brewed stuff in their menu, but also the classics like steak, wings, and rather normal bar food. But then they got the better stuff like calamari, unique sandwiches, and awesome sausage! I can confidently recommend their steak to any steak lover. So soft, slight taste of smokey charcoal, and loaded with juicy flavor. And prices were very fair! I also recommend their calamari and chili. Careful, a lot of their items can be on the spicy side! This is the first place I would go to entertain my out of town friends visiting Canton! Great food, great prices, great service, great atmosphere! What else could you want? I decided to go here for lunch on a Saturday. I got there about 12:45 and the parking lot was empty this should've been my first clue. I went in and there was no hostess or instructions on where to sit so I just went to the bar. Bartender was busy on a personal phone call and didn't hang up when taking my drink order. Again bad start. I ordered Italian sub and fries seeing as the restaurant only had 2 customers I figured it would be quick. I waited for 30 minutes. I was about leave when the food came out. The sub was ok but the Salami had a stringy casing that made it difficult to eat almost as if it had to be removed before using. And the fries were cold and slightly under cooked. Disappointing. I ate what I want and left the rest. I had been here before when they had music and they were slow but waiting 30 minutes for baked cold cuts in an empty restaurant is not acceptable.
