I went here based on the recommendations of others since I'm new to town. Went for an oil change and inspection. Staff wasnt friendly but I thought whatever no big deal. Took about 30 minutes to be called to the window that my inspection was done. Asked about my oil change and they refused to do it because I had a skid plate on my kia. This is the best autoservice I have ever had. I came in this morning for an oil change on a rental that I am afraid to drive 180 miles to Houston with a service light on. Logan took super good care of me. They don't have the air filter this brand new BMW uses. Logan called places for me to find the air filter. He set up an appointment for me to get it done today. He wrote the address and phone number out for me. I am 72 years old. I know NOTHING about cars. If I could give him 10 stars I would. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Came in for a quick state inspection and that's exactly what it was, QUICK! We came in around 4pm on a Tuesday and they were really slow, only us and 2 other people ahead of us. Not too bad at all, I have gone other places where I have had to wait forever to be seen. The attendant were very friendly and got me on my way. Horrible service. Waited an hour and a half to get an inspection but when it was my turn they said they needed a paper copy of my insurance. Huh?!! The digital copy on my phone that works if law enforcement pulls me over isn't good enough I guess. The woman then tried to steer me to the other business down the street that does inspections because they can print one out for me. You mean to tell me that you don't have a printer?! No-nonsense woman working there told me, "You should be smacked in the face for taking your car to that place," referring to the franchise oil-change biz that didn't replace the bolts in several things under the hood. (I say "things" because I truly don't know what they are). I live in South Austin, and in Georgetown for the day, and prefer to shop local, so tried it out. Went here for the second time ever, thinking I should support local business. I did not what packages they had as far as oil changes are concerned. I pulled up, got out of my car and the woman worked there asked if I wanted the more expensive package and I asked what that was and she said that they check everything. I told her I didn't need that (Again, not k owing what it was or what they were checking.). Well then she yelled that "she wants the basic" and everyone there for mad that I didn't pick the more expensive one. They were rude, talking shit the entire time and wouldn't let it go. "If she wants the basic package she will get the basic package". I mean, now I'm shaking thinking my car is going to get messed up, so I went out there and told one mad that I usually go to the dealership and this is my second time here so I don't know the difference of the packages. I said I will do the more expensive one then if this is a problem, and he said don't worry I will do my normal job. Everyone still talking shit, won't let it go. I paid for the expensive package, probably have something wrong with my car now too! I don't understand why I upset them in the first place...because I chose the cheaper package?? My family will never go back. I hope to God nobody sends their young kids in there to get completely harassed! This was uncalled for and scary for me. With everything going on in this world I get people are stressed out...and many people have lost their income...so if you need a cheaper oil change because of that, do NOT go here unless you want to be treated like dirt and harassed! read more

Went in for an oil change. ..Charged me for an air filter without me asking... didn't really bother me... been a couple weeks I am changing my serpentine belt, my air filter is still dirty and years old. They didn't put a new one on. Won't be going back. read more

Friendliest staff I've ever met. My low tire pressure light occasionally comes on, and the last three times that it's done it, I've taken it to The Oil Exchange in Georgetown to have the tire pressure looked at. I don't like being this person, but I do feel like I need to share my experience. I took my bike to be inspected and I should have left when the inspector had someone come get me to turn it on. He couldn't start it. When he finished inspecting it he allegedly forgot it was still on and pulled the throttle shooting my bike across the lot and then dropped it. It was dropped so hard the boot came off. That is a tough feat. I was then stranded and had to be picked up. I asked for insurance information but I could not get more than a "I'll take care of you, don't be mad." I would also like to note I called before hand and made sure they had someone available to inspect motorcycles and scooter and was told yes they could. Just because you can doesn't mean you should, especially if you don't know what you're doing. read more

Wonderful people -- I was on a road trip with my two daughters and heard a terrible scraping noise while on the freeway. I pulled off and could see that there was a metal plate dragging under the car, but couldn't reach it. I was going to go to the dealership, worrying about wait times and costs, but happened to pass the Oil Exchange on the way (taking city streets to avoid freeway speeds). I pulled in, asked the man at the window if they did work beyond oil exchanges and explained my problem. He had me pull around with no wait where he and another mechanic looked at my car, determined that it was a non-essential plate, removed it, assured me that I could finish my trip without worry, and sent me on my way. In the neighborhood and a local business referred me to them. I like that the service is quick but a little pricey. The tech was straightforward and seemed knowledgeable however, just two weeks after my oil change my car is making a noise that I've heard before but couldn't put my finger on it right way. A friend reminded of what that noise was...tapping lifters or in other words oil level too low or oil is gone. I checked the oil and it is at max level. It appears that the tech didn't use the recommended grade of oil for my engine type. It's Saturday evening so my car has to sit until Monday morning when they open. I'll be the first customer. I had my truck inspected there last November 2011, My wife just got pulled over on I-35 just outside of town, the deputy told her the Inspection sticker was fraudulant and removed the sticker and gave her a ticket. 9-2-2012. I have contacted my lawyer and I guess we will see what happens. If they are taking peoples money and selling fake inspection stickers, well I don't know what the law states. I may own an oil changing business, which I want nothing to do with. Especially this one. read more
