When I first moved in, there was no gate, but now there is which can be kind of a good thing but also a pain in the ass if you're trying to order a pizza or have a party because you have to go all the way outside just to let each person in. They tell you that you get a "yard" which is the saddest excuse for a yard I've ever seen. You can't fit anything in it, and the only thing it would be useful for is a dog to go outside and poop in, but sadly they don't allow pets. They also don't allow smoking in the apartments or anywhere on the property. If they catch you doing it, they will threaten to kick you out. That's a downfall too because that's just about the only thing you would want to do outside on your 4x4 foot itty bitty patio where you aren't allowed to have a grill. Yes, the yard and the patio are the two most pointless parts about this complex. The parking is pretty much the worst situation imaginable. Most people don't even park in their garages, they just use it as another living room. The garages are ridiculously small. They claim to be 2-car garages, which is fine if you have two mini coopers. I'm not sure how they did the measurements here, but if you are lucky enough to fit your vehicles in the garage, you have to do an 8-point turn just to get it in there since the buildings are so close together. The saddest thing I've seen though is the people who signed their leases and have trucks and you see that they can't even close the garage at night because the front of the truck is sticking out of the garage. I just feel so sorry for them because they didn't know. They didn't know... The best part is that we scratched both my girl's car and my car trying to maneuver our cars into this ridiculous situation. Thousands of dollars of paint jobs are in our future. The inside isn't so bad. You get three bedrooms, and two bathrooms. The kitchen is kinda nice too, but everything else in here is so poorly done. The walls are thin and the paint is so cheap you can just rub something on it and it stains or comes right off. The door stoppers just fall out of the wall... ugh it was a nightmare. For $1400 a month we got what we paid for... The only reason I'm giving this place two stars is because of the liquor store that I could walk to across the street. That made it easy to not have to drive anywhere when I ran out of beer. Oh also, there is a washer/dryer and air conditioning. You might not want to use them though because somehow the meters here RIP YOU OFF and we had consecutive $300/month SDG&E bills. No, I am not exaggerating.

Weird people walk around there at night. And unfortunately if you have friends/family come over they have to park on the side of the road which unfortunately again is always full of cars because unfortunately the living rooms and hallways that go up to the living rooms are so narrow that you can't move in average size furniture so unfortunately people use their 2 car garages as the living room which by the way these garages are pretty ridiculously small and the driveway to the garages is so narrow it is even more ridiculous to try to park in there without doing a 10 point turn. Fact: Your 2 car garage just became your living room. Fact: You now park either in 1 of the 3 parking spots in the gated part of the complex (good luck finding one) or park on the street. Fact. Friends/family come over park way the hell down the road and walk in this sketchy part of town to your gate where they wait for you to open because it is locked. And if it is dark they could potentially be in danger and be frightened. Fact: Your friends/family will no longer want to come and visit. Second off.. they remodeled this place with freaking cardboard. The walls are super thin so UNFORTUNATELY I can even hear neighbors alarm clocks and figure out what they are watching on TV. A stalkers dream. The paint ON the walls chips off when the wind blows. It is ridiculous. Anything can mark this paint too. We got a couple black marks from moving our MINI japanese pleather couches up the stairs because that was the only thing that could fit. So I decided to use a rag with water to try to get rid of the damn marks. Well the paint washed right off. Fact: THE WALLS ARE THINNER THAN AN ANOREXIC CHICK! Fact: THE PAINT WASHES OFF WITH WATER! WTF?!? Third off and finally.. THE MANAGEMENT SUCKS MONKEY NUTS! They are rude, annoying, deceiving, conniving and overall screw you over big time assholes. Side note: Things you can not do in your complex: Smoke, not even out in front, not on your patio, not at all. Pets, not a fish, not a snail, nothing, zip, zilch. Wash clothes after 10PM, because the walls are so thin you cannot wash your own goddamn clothes in your own goddamn apartment. Fact: I would never move in here again I would rather be homeless.

The maintenance situation is just as bad. Workers park in resident spaces and have zero accountability--I personally had my car door hit multiple times by a maintenance worker who said nothing until he was caught in the act. That says a lot about the level of respect here. The building itself is in terrible condition. It's old, poorly maintained, and there is mold in what feels like nearly every apartment. Instead of properly fixing the issue, they just paint over it. Because of this, my family members were constantly getting sick, which is unacceptable and honestly concerning from a health standpoint. To make things worse, basic repairs are ignored. Our front door knob literally fell off, and management refused to fix it, saying it wasn't an emergency. How is a broken FRONT DOOR not urgent? The lease policy states that cats must be indoors and dogs must be on a leash, yet the neighbors seem to think those rules don't apply to them. After complaining, all management does is send out emails -- even though it's a clear violation of the lease agreement. People don't pick up after their pets, which causes other animals to get sick. The rent increases are ridiculous for what you get -- no A/C, no dishwasher, and no in unit laundry. Sure, they remodeled the exterior and installed cameras watching the carports, but they refuse to provide footage when something is stolen. They make you file a police report before they'll even speak to the security company. They claim there's a security guard who patrols at night, but I've lived here for two years and have never seen them. Ants! Ants everywhere, no matter how much you clean. The community washers are constantly broken, and people from the other side of the complex come to use yours because they've figured out how to get free washes and drying. My biggest frustration is the constant car and storage break-ins -- especially when we live right down the road from the sheriff's department. I've had a car stolen, and street parking is horrid, particularly when the school is having a baseball game or the sports complex is hosting events since people seem to think it's okay to park in the apartment lot. On top of all that, there's a constant smell of dirty Tijuana sewage. The only positive thing is the proximity to town and the easy commute to the military bases.

I found this is another way to be watched and harassed. We had cars being broken into and the camera wasn't exactly helpful not even for a detective. So again the camera is just a way to harass and watched. A resident has mentioned getting a notice about picking up dog waste in the common dog area, how would you even know unless you're being watched! It's a little obsessive don't you think? There are messages (text) sent out threatening to charge for picking up dog waste and threats to close the common dog area. When the area is not even a up kept area.

Even through the issues with the waste management company a few months back, management kept it well maintained and didn't have trash throughout the complex/parking lot like it was shown on the news at other places. The apartments itself are nice at first glance, wait about a week and everything starts falling apart. The counters are painted very cheaply so everything stains right away. Im a very clean person. As soon as a drop of coffee landed on the counter, it STAINED! They say the facilities are open 24/7 they're only open when the office is open. 9am-6pm. Everything gets locked up when they go home. The washer and dryers NEVER work! Upon move out we cleaned the place spotless! We emailed the leasing office to do a walk through, well because of covid, we couldn't be there. That already made me uneasy because I wouldn't be able to be there while they looked at things. They emailed us back saying the windows on the outside of the 3rd floor are dirty! you got to be kidding me! The 3rd floor!? So then my gf goes back to clean more and they sent her an email of what we needed to pay for. Long story short we ended having to pay to move out!!! The place was SPOTLESS!
