I've lived in the area for over 40 years and have driven by Georgia's many times without stopping for a bite. Recently, I read a review somewhere saying they had very good meatball subs which are a favorite of mine. I stopped in and ordered a small with provalone and and onions, it was great. The meatballs were flavorful and moist. The sauce and sub roll were also very good. I've been back a few times since to try their pizzas which are also very good. Friendly staff and clean shop. Just started trying Georgia's. The pizza and gyro are fantastic. No skimping on the toppings for the pizza and the Gyro was also a handful. Fast and fresh food. Prices are what is expected these days. Many options in Ipswich for pizza and a sub, so it took awhile to get around to them. Should have tried them first. Stopped in here for quick lunch while visiting Ipswich. Looked. It looks nondescript so did not expect much. Not getting too fancy I got an Italian sub. I noticed later they had a quites substancial menu including kabobs, gyros and other middle eastern fare. But boy that sub was great why? The bun it was in was fresh and fluffy, the cold cuts overflowed the sub, it came with super fresh tomatoes, lettuce onions and pickles. I got it with oil and that was a good call. One of the best sandwiches I have had in while. My wife got a cheese pizza. We live near the best pizza place in miami (called Miami's best pizza, yea really) she love that pizza and eats it once a week. She said this was a better. High praise. I wrote a review on Georgia's Pizza which I have used for five years and I'd like to know what others think. My bag unstapled food missing it was my fault. I called for an order they blamed me because I complained. Refused to serve me. What do you think. Wrote a review. Like this one.I had hoped they would make amends and take responsibility but no it's my fault that food was missing and wrote a review because the manager was real snippy and blamed me. I didn't even ask for a refund. So I waited a couple of months asked to have my bag stapled they refused to serve me. They lost a good customer. I feel pretty bad because I like to buy local. I had to give one star, but I'd rather if no star was a option. You people have the worse customer service. It doesn't take much to be kind and it doesn't take much to listen and get a order right. Especially a small order ! Mistakes happen yes...but when it's your fault and you show no compassion. That's a big issue. Waiting a hour for a pizza to be delivered wrong is ridiculous and how can you give attitude if it was wrong on your part? I have allergies you can't just create what you want. Georgia's has a great variety of food options, including middle eastern options such as gyros. Our favorite is the pizzas and the chicken kabob and steak tip salads. The service is fast! I ordered a Greek salad with Steak tips and they screwed up my order and brought me a steak tip sub and threw in some salad dressing. When I called them back to say they screwed up my order, they were indifferent and I requested that they give me credit for the amount I paid for my order for screwing it up. They tried to tell me that I actually ordered it the way they heard it and when I told them I was very clear about what I ordered they gave me two options: either you keep it or they could send soneone to take it back and give you the salad instead. Realizing it would be another hour, I said I would keep it. When I told them that I will not be ordering from them again, they responded "That's fine, good luck." My wife and I have lived in Ipswich for 5 years and just tried Georgia's for the first time, regretting we had let it go so long! We had a pizza and a Greek salad and both were very good. Well run as well with a quick turn around for pickup on a Friday night. The menu has a lot of options as well so we look forward to trying the different items they have. Ordered the steak and egg sub. It was fast service I must say, but the customer service was atrocious. Rude and unhappy people working there today. The food was ok, giant roll and not much meat. I wanted lettuce tomato mayo and jalapeños on top and got a very very light sprinkle of each. Maybe the workers were having a bad, and that's fine; just please don't take it out on the customer. If I could give a lower score, I would. The worst people EVER. We went at 8:30 on a Saturday night. The website showed a 10:00 closing time, but we were still in early... So Ok. They told us 9:00, so we politely asked if it was ok and they said "sure, but we will start flipping tables at 8:45." Most of the tables there are bolted to the ground, btw. Well that's fine, we will eat quickly, we just want some pizza after a long day. Then, they tell us that we can only order certain things. Ok, well that's fine, can we order a pizza? "Well, I guess, it takes 15 minutes, but then it takes 15 minutes to cool?" So can we order a pizza? "Yes." Then the VERY rude kitchen guy/owner came out waving his arms and noticeably angry, pointing at our group. I asked my friend, "is there something wrong?" Then he looks straight at me and says, "what?!" And I ask him if there is an issue. He yells, "get the f*** out of my store!" Then I ask him if there is something wrong and he says my girlfriend can't come in with a bathing suit ("underwear" in his words, in a beach town, which they didn't tell us when we walked in and a rule we would have been fine with complying with if they would have told us). He keeps waving his arms and yelling at us and yelling several expletives at my girlfriend and friends. I go back to take a picture of the store for this review and they call the police on us, saying we are not allowed to do that (pics to come). Then his family comes out to yell at us saying we cannot take pictures. The police officers responded very quickly (small town) and took our licenses and tried to explain to us that the owner was just an "animated" person (and he tried to brush it off by explaining their ethnicity as an excuse for the rudeness). Sorry, but it is more than that. My friend has lived in this town for 17 years and we were just locals looking for some food. I have never experienced something this deplorable. I feel affronted and completely disturbed at the experience that we had at this establishment. read more

I've been living in Ipswich for 17 years and have tried pretty much every pizza place in town. Without a doubt this one takes the cake for being the WORST. Last night a group of 7 including myself decided to stop by and get a quick bite to eat on our way to Boston and right off the bat the owner and their family tried coming up with any excuse to dissuade us from wanting to order as it was 8:30pm, and the restaurant closes at 9:00pm. Then when we were fine with eating quickly, they started saying that they out the chairs up at 8:45pm and start cleaning. The owner then came out of the back pissed off that here was one last order to make and then started saying that it was indecent for our female friend to be wearing a bathing suit with pullover on in the store (yet another excuse to make sure they did not have to cook our food). We asked the owner what his problem was and started swearing at us and kicked us out of the store after I had already paid for my food and was waiting. The last thing my friend tried doing was to take a photo of the front for a Yelp review and the daughter, mother, and a slew of other family employees followed us to our car and turned downtown Ipswich into an episode of Jersey Shore by calling the police on us for no reason. Which was only ratified by the fact that the police let us go after finding out that all that happened was a group of people experiencing poor attitude and customer service. BOTTOM LINE: Georgia's house of pizza is run by a family with poor attitude that left me with the worst dining experience in 17 years in Ipswich. PLEASE go to POMODORIES, IPSWICH HOUSE OF PIZZA, ZINOS, or any place but here...also any photos of police cars you see on yelp are proof and from that awful night read more

Came back up to here the other day. I had the chicken kabob plate and it was awesome. Super fresh meat, and salad was so good. My wife got a steak bomb sub and it was also incredible. Service was good too. These types of places are great for dinner plates and subs. Greek sub shops are good for everything but pizza. Ipswich has a ton of Pizza/Sub shops and this is by far the best. I love their Chicken and Broccoli Calzone. Everything is good here. It is what every North Shore Pizza/Sub joint should be. I have always lived in Ipswich and have always liked Georgia's until today...went there with a friend after work around 5. Seemed like the joint was steady but not hectic. Got a steak tip sub and my friend got a small pepperoni pizza. Greek woman with dirty blonde hair took our order and read the order back to me as I had ordered it. Accent was a little hard to understand but she had got my order fully correct when reading it back! Timing of food was fairly quick. Drove all the way home, opened up the sub. Seafood sub. Not steak tip. Friend called the place and they said bring back the sub to exchange for correct sub free of charge. Drive all the way back. Woman gives me attitude at the counter about the mistake and acted as it had inconvenienced her! On top of that she basically smashed my sub on the counter when giving me the correct one (find out the roll actually broke and everything was falling out when attempting to eat it :/) and then to top off the experience she charged me $1.50 dollars for the "difference" in getting my correct sub even though I was told it was free if I returned to exchange! Unbelievable!!! Very unpleasant service and handling of a mistake! Will not return again. You will receive better food for a better price and more pleasant employees at Zeno's downtown! read more

I have never experience such disrespect and unprofessional behavior like I did here. I recently went to Georgia's with my two daughters. Something was off on my order and I kindly asked for them to fix it but was refused. I was told that I was "wrong", it was "not what I ordered", and astoundingly that I am a "liar". Their behavior drove me to just ask for my money back so I could leave. I was then yelled at because "now they had to pay for my food". We left with my young daughter in tears. This is a fantastic place to go after Crane Beach. The place is open until 9pm. The place has a neighbourly feel, while providing fantastic pizza plus many other excellent treats. Wraps, Roast Beef Sandwiches, and best of all, Sirloin tips. The staff was incredibly friendly, and it seemed contagious as all the customers were in a very good mood.
