Between Salem, Peabody, Danvers, and Beverly, there are dozens and dozens pizza places in the area. This doesn't even include the rest of the North Shore. One night, while wanting to try a local pizza place but not have to drive too far and not have to fight the difficult parking in downtown Salem, I discovered Tesoro Cucina in Beverly on Bridge Street. What immediately stood out when viewing their menu is their eclectic selection of specialty pizzas. Any pizza joint can have a meat lovers, Greek, and veggie, but Tesoro Cucina comes up with some interesting combinations. Case and point: The "Dill"icious Duo - with their signature "ranchfredo" sauce, whole milk mozzarella, super sour pickles, and North Country bacon. The alfredo and ranch white sauce was so savory, the pickles were indeed super sour, and there was an absurd amount of bacon. Most pizzas that include bacon throw on a few pieces of basic bacon bits but this was real, crispy, big pieces of bacon. I have had plenty of pickle pizzas and this was hands-down the best I've had by far. I've also tried the Old School Gabagool (mozzarella, crushed San Marzano tomatoes, hot imported capicola, cherry pepper relish and sweet onions) and The Big Malaka (fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, feta, garlic, olives, spinach, peppers, onions, oregano, olive oil drizzle), both of which were also great. The restaurant sits in its own little strip mall, making parking extremely easy, and the staff inside have always been welcoming and friendly. Every time I think to try a new pizza place in the North Shore area, I ultimately go back to Tesoro Cucina because you cannot go wrong. read more

Great pizza in Beverly--wish it was closer to home. Old-school pizza shop vibe. The slice was perfectly thin with a great crunch, awesome sauce and cheese combo, and a super chill atmosphere. This place was probably the best restaurant I've ordered out from, the pizza is godly, reminds me of Ancient Rome and it's reign for 1500 years. The fries perfectly seasoned reminds me of Belgium's long and complicated history of a nation, making French fries. Service was good and the ambience was good, nice Smokey smell read more

After being impressed with the first visit to Tesoro Cucina the occasion arose to try it again. You really can't properly evaluate any eatery on the basis of one visit. This place has a good sized menu so there is a lot to work with. We selected the Chicken Pahm Pizza, ordered ahead for takeout. About thirty minutes after the call, it was picked up, ready on time and hot. The price was moderate and you get a lot for that price. The pie was cut into eight slices and cut well. No need for a chain saw to get the edges to separate. The first surprise was the chicken, evenly distributed and outstanding for moisture and tenderness. The sauce was thick and tangy. The other ingredients were fresh and evenly distributed. The crust was not too thin or too thick even at the edges. There was no evidence of oil, frequently over done elsewhere. After work, I headed into Beverly and stopped at Tesoro Cucina for a pizza for carryout. The owner was running the front counter and took my pizza order, which would be ready in 15 minutes. I waited in my car and returned 15 minutes later as the pizza was hot & ready fresh out of the oven and boxed. I ordered the 16" Sausage Peppers & Onions Pizza ($16 plus tax) and enjoyed some pizza slices back at my vehicle. The thin crust was very firm on the bottom with a crisp and the edges were not thick with the toppings of red sauce, melted cheese, sliced Italian sausage, fresh green peppers & onions filling up most of the pizza almost to the edge (half inch). This was a very good Italian style pizza to enjoy! I was thinking about trying out their subs and pasta dinners on my next visit and getting Nonna's Meatballs too! read more

I have bought food from this small delightful place several times and I must say. The food is always fresh and delicious. The Nonna's Meatballs are to die for, handmade and out of this world. They are amazing. The Chicken Parm sub is superb, tender and juicy. The Really Italian sub is an old school Italian delicatessen flashback and a quality item. The is always friendly and respectful. Unfortunately, there is a ton of roadwork currently being done but this place is a hidden gem of epic food. It's worth the trip if you're in Bevelry or the North Shore. I called them up and got "Tony's Tacos" so I hung up thinking I got the wrong place. They called back and said they do that joke to out of state numbers thinking it was a spam call. I laughed, I just moved here so I get it. My wife and I got pizza, salad, and the meatballs and pasta. 5 stars. Incredibly good food, and the pizza was exceedingly good for a place that wasn't that busy. The food was ready in only about 12 minutes, and when we went in to pick it up, the place was spotless, and they had a great selection of chips and drinks. Service is very friendly and the quality of the meats is good. I had the "Really Italian" and the cold cuts were great. The problem was the pedestrian sub roll that it came on. It wasn't a particularly good sub roll to begin with, but with the "really Italian" name I was hoping for more. A great Scala bread type of roll, the knotted style, is what this sandwich deserves. They offer a Portuguese style roll as an option, but that doesn't work either. The best Pizza every! Billy the owner is friendly, cordial, loves kids, and informative. The prices are good. His side kick Vicky is friendly and accommodating too. BILLY treats you as a friend. His meatballs are large and super delicious.. He has great chicken fingers and his soups are all delicious. He is the best chef ever!! His pizza crust is super thin and super delicious. His pizza is not oily at all. His small dining area is perfect and take out is super (and he caters too.) It's quick and the food is always nice and hot for cooked foods.
