When I went inside it was empty but I was welcomed by a very sweet lady who waited for me at the counter while I viewed the menu. This was my first time here and I wasn't sure what to expect. The place prior to this one was dark however they updated it and added window and changed the inside to make it friendlier and welcoming. As I waited for my food to be freshly made with love and care, I was checking my phone messages and when I looked up the place was now filled with customers so I found out that it is a popular place. I took my meal home and to my delight the meal was Yummy!! The steak was made to order and juicy as was the chicken moist and tender. The rice pilaf was tender, moist and flavorful. Recently tried this place. While the hummus, baba ganoush, and rice were really good, I was pretty disappointed in the kefta kebab. It came out pretty dry and was oddly so small. If I were to come back, I'd probably try the standard kebabs or the shawarma. read more

I love the Mediterranean food at Georgie's. This is my first time at this location. There's plenty of parking - located in the Ralph's (grocery) strip mall. There's lots of seating available inside and outside on the patio. I ordered the family meal good for 4 which can actually feed more than 4 people. I waited about 15 minutes... I didn't mind because this just means that my food is freshly made. For my 2 sides, I chose tabouleh (a minced parsley type side salad) and Taziki (a creamy cucumber type salad). My meal also came with pita bread and a container of mashed garlic - its sooooo good! Everything was delicious! Im so glad that I decided to try this location. I recently ordered from Georgie's Mediterranean Restaurant in Pasadena for our Mahjong game with the girls and decided to go with their family-style menu. This place is fairly new in our area, and we've been excited about it because our past experiences have been great. The place is clean, bright, with an open kitchen, and plenty of parking. The last four or five times I've ordered their wraps -- chicken, beef, and kefta (ground beef and lamb combination) -- they were absolutely amazing even the shrimp kabab were so good! The meat was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly wrapped, with every bite bursting with flavor. Because of those experiences, we've kept coming back and have recommended Georgie's to many friends, all of whom loved it just as much. That said, the family-style meal didn't quite live up to our expectations. While the rice with vermicelli noodles and spices was tasty, the proteins -- kefta kabab, beef kabab, and chicken kabab -- were a bit on the dry side and lacked the tenderness and juiciness we've come to expect, especially compared to their wraps. Overall, I still recommend Georgie's Mediterranean Restaurant. Their flavors are excellent, and their wraps are consistently delicious. We pulled in and after a quick review of the menu we ordered Chicken Shwarma Wrap and a Cauliflower Wrap with sides of Mutablbal and Hummus. Yay! Everything was made fresh as we waited e sat at the tables outside on the patio which was very relaxing. The wraps were toasty warm and very tasty. We shared them and found the chicken shwarma and the cauliflower both were very satisfying. Each had fresh veggies, garlic spread, pickles all bundled up in a fresh wrap along with the chicken or cauliflower. We also enjoyed the fresh pitas which we dipped in the mutabbal or hummus. Anyone who knows me knows I love Middle Eastern food. Growing up in Detroit, I was lucky to have some of the best outside of the Middle East. California has actually surprised me the Middle Eastern food here can be just as authentic and delicious. I especially like Georgie's because it's a great fast-casual spot right across the street from the gym I go to. The service is always super friendly shoutout to Joanna for always being so welcoming! So far I've tried the chicken shawarma bowl and the meat shawarma bowl, and both have been phenomenal. This was my first time at Georgie's but it won't be my last! I came here after working on some things at Peet's right next door, so suffice to say that there is ample parking. They have a huge menu, which was overwhelming to me as a first timer, but everything looks so good. I ended up getting garlic fries and a kebab combo. The combo also comes with two sides and they have so many options to choose from like a salad, hummus, cucumber yogurt, and more. Everything is made fresh so I did have to wait but not long and it was all so delicious. Yes, the description was the protein with "lettuce" (if you choose that option for the bowl), but that is literally all you'll get. Not a tomato, not a cucumber, not even dressing with it. So I had a small container with a few nuggets of beef, shredded lettuce and a garlic sauce. I was hoping maybe the meat had enough flavor to save it, but no. I've definitely been taking a hit financially and going out and spending money on takeout is definitely a luxury so when I decided to try this place out, I was excited because it's new. Lula kebab was dry and when I mean, dry, I mean like you could crumble it in your hand it was so dry that no matter how much I dipped it into sauce it did not even help. I had to throw it away now the rice if you've ever had Rice-A-Roni in a box, then you definitely had their rice before except they have this unique way of making it soggy yet crunchy so it's overcooked but undercooked at the same time they thought if they threw in enough fake chicken powder that you wouldn't be able to taste the crunchy mushiness now the hummus if you want authentic hummus, this is not a place you would want to go to because it is like liquid water you could tell that they put 90% Taheen to about 10% of garbanzo beans and then they throw seasoning on top and call it a day so this is definitely not a place if you have ever had real Mediterranean food, but if you crawled out of a rock and never eaten real food in your life, I would definitely give this place a try besides that save your money go to somewhere else in Glendale or Burbank or even in Pasadena.
