Careful to those who used doordash app for doordash's credits, this place refused to print/ provide me a receipt for my orders. I tried asking for a receipt, one of the staff said, "we don't give receipt. " i only tried this place because of doordash offer. For the price i paid for the chicken kabob, there's so many better option. I should have just stick with massis at the mall. The chicken kabob is some what dry, the chicken is nor tender or juicy. At least it's not burn. Nothing is wrong with the rice, but i preferred the basmati rice massis used. However, I'm not sure why the rice is mixed with many piece of noodles. I hate when it puts the container sauce on top of the rice and not outside. I believe it's chili and garlic sauce. How would I know if the container is contaminated or not. Not sure why it is on top of the rice and not outside the to go container. The picture look better than what I actually got. In the picture, the chicken kabob look round and whole, what I actually got look like the whole piece of chicken got cut in half. The salad is room temperature. For sure, it isn't cold. Parking here is very challenging. I also got the wrap for 12 something. Honestly, 13.99 pho would have been a better choice for me. The order was made quick. I got my order to go, not much of the interaction for the service to have any opinion about it. I came here by chance, tried it, it did not made me feel wow on either its' price and its' food. I find no value in it, therefore, i won't be back. I don't know if other customer got their receipt, the staff here refused to give me mine. read more

This place has been a staple of great kebabs and falafels for years because the food is excellent, nothing fancy but everything is well made and fresh tasty. The Kefta and beef kebabs are the best and the hummus is excellent. Located in the South Lake area of Pasadena, plenty of parking and friendly service. Every time I show up here, I feel like I need to come here more often. I'm never disappointed, and everything I've tried has been tasty and great bang for the buck. Major plus that it's great for a super quick lunch pick-up when you have time constraints. Service is always friendly and fast. I'm partial to the wraps (usually kefta or beef) since it's self contained and easy to eat. When I come with the kids, they tend to graze on their food, so the plate works better for them. read more

Amazing food! Came here on a weekday for lunch and got the beef kabob plate, which came with a Greek style salad, hummus, two beef skewers, and rice! The beef kebab is super tender and extremely well marinated but not too salty! The hummus - sooo smooth and melts in your mouth! Love love love the hummus! I'm usually not a salad person but I do love this salad - perfect seasoning and mix of veggies! The owner is super friendly as well! Lots of parking at the back! There was a five-person line ahead of me, but went by fast, as the food is served within less than five minutes, upon ordering. As for the food, it is consistent with some of the other foods I've had with Greek or middle-east heritage, but felt their hummus was not as good as I've had at the former Corfu in Sierra Madre. However, the entrees are relatively good and the experience positive in every way. I had wanted to try this restaurant for about six months since seeing it while walking by, but it seemed to have been closed during some construction. So sorry to say it, but I don't get it. I saw a long line and great reviews and had to try this place. I got the chicken kabob plate and it might just be the driest chicken I've ever had. I also got the falafel and it also tastes like nothing, just like fried...nothing. The hummus is ok, again not much flavor. And the combo plate came with one piece of pita which I do find to be a bit stingy. The rice tastes like box rice pilaf. Not bad but not good enough that I want to eat it all. I did also try the chicken shawarma wrap, and while it was ok, it wasn't as good as what I was expecting. I won't be back sorry. I do appreciate that the service was super quick and nice. read more

I've been coming here for a long, long time, starting with when they were located in the Paseo and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh and delicious and if it's gotten more and more expensive over the years it's still a relatively good value. All of the wraps are tasty, and the hommus [sic] and mujadarah are really good. If you don't eat meat the falafel is really good as well. I drove by looking for a place to eat after having tried almost every restaurant in this plaza and a blue awning with "Mediterranean Cafe" caught my eye. Came with my friend and we couldn't decide between the lamb or the beef plate but the guy behind the counter said "we can do half half". Music to my ears. As we were paying (literally seconds after ordering), the cashier starts to bag up an order. We thought it was for the customer before us but nope, it was ours. That efficiency paralleled that of a HK cafe in HK. Now onto the food. Rice was fluffy and not overly greasy. The salad dressing added the perfect amount of tart to the lettuce. I preferred the beef over the lamb bc it was a bit more tender but you really can't go wrong either. It came with pita bread and we added a side of falafel with an exterior tougher than we were used to. Overall, one of the best Mediterranean restaurants in the area and I'm not the only one who can vouch for that! read more

Always a great time with food from Mediterranean Cafe! Our favorite is the beef kabobs. Rice is so good. And can't get enough of the chili sauce and garlic sauce!!!! We had a friends Christmas dinner and decided to save ourselves some time and energy by catering some food. We asked for the food in trays. Everything was perfectly packaged and was ready for pick up at the scheduled time! The food was a hit, tons of left overs, and very happy and full guests. I have been coming here for the past 15 years. I always get the beef plate and it used to be great for the price. The price has gone up so much these past few years. Just the meal without a drink costs almost $20. I don't frequent as much as in the past because of the price. Stopped by here for the Beef Kabob and Chicken Shawarma. So delicious. The Beef Kabob had a nice flavor. The plates come with a side of Mediterranean Salad, Rice, and Hummus. The garlic sauce and spicy sauce are delicious condiment that pair well with the plate. The chicken was moist and tender. I came right when they opened and there was no line so the service was fast. The meat is pretty chewy though, so I wish they had another option to add premium beef for an additional cost. I definitely wouldn't mind paying for that. The lamb was decent, nothing amazing though.
