Wowww the food here is incredible. Huge portions with fresh ingredients, made with obvious care and really delicious and elevated flavors. Eveyrthing I got in my order was probably the best version of classic dishes. The amount and variety of veggies per dish was also something I really appreciated! Amongst other things I got the salmon salad which is gorgeous and hard to photo because theres a LOT of salmon in it but it's under all the lovely parsley/veg. Salads can sometimes be a little boring or unsatisfying but I was literally going MM!! with every bite of theirs-- and I could only eat half before getting full, which astonished me because I can eat a lot! Lastly their pickles are SO GOOD. I ordered the pickled veggies not really knowing what they'd be or what amount but again, very substantial portion, great variety of veggies, crunchy, and super tasty brine, and once more, a familiar flavor but with a little something extra that makes it super tasty and special! Update: go to all reviews and search "hair" and then "bug." Never receiving one complaint is far from true. I used to work in Old Town and get the chicken Caesar at least once a week. After three different incidents finding hair or bugs in my food, I stopped coming. Today I was thinking of giving this place another chance so I opened yelp and searched "hair" and "bug" in the reviews. I can see that things haven't changed. Wish it could be different so I could eat here! Their food is really good except for the hair and bugs. Wash your lettuce! Wear hairnets! Hurts me to write a 3-star review update, but Father Nature just isn't as good as I remember. Service was pretty mid; while the woman at the counter said all the right things, her tone and overall vibe just didn't feel welcoming. To be fair, I did come in after the lunch rush, so maybe it was just a long day. What really bummed me out was my order. The French Connection used to be my favorite, but this time it had way less filling and just wasn't satisfying. I also ordered a cup of chicken, which was the same small serving as before, but now it's almost $8; not really worth it for what you get. I used to come here for lunch in my 20s when I used to work in Old Town. Its been forever since I had a Cheese Louise. It's called something different now, but I just had to have it again with tahini sauce. It always hit the spot. I ordered dine in and sat in their upstairs dining area. This café in old town Pasadena has been around since 1984. I personally have been going there for at least 16 years as it was down the street from my previous office. There are so many Middle Eastern cafés and restaurants in town, but this one always stood out to me. It is extremely fresh and flavorful they make the food after you order and Service is warm and friendly. The quality has never wavered and trust me, I have eaten here many times. I enjoy their pressed wraps, but especially love the fries. I am picky about fries, but these are always made to order and always just perfect. It has a Middle Eastern seasoning on it which you can opt to leave off. I love them with a dipping sauce of spicy tahini, which they will provide if you ask. You can of course get it non-spicy as well. Their menu can satisfy many different diets including vegetarian/vegan, keto/low carb, pescatarian and meat eaters It's just extremely reliable and high-quality and I plan on continuing to be a regular customer. read more

Been here at least four times. Everything is delicious and fresh ! You can't go wrong with anything including their fish. One thing tho, don't use their app and just call them. Their system won't take any of the orders even tho your credit card is charged. Parking is difficult but you can always find parking structures in old town Pasadena. Update: the owner claimed that the app is working fine. I disagree and the employees would tell you that they never receive orders. It happened to me twice. The woman working the counter was super friendly and recommended a few different items from the menu. I went with one of her suggestions: #21, the Angus Beef Steak Press Grilled Wrap. It came with tomato, onion, parsley, garlic aioli, and a spicy red pepper spread. My friends and I also got hummus and a side of falafel to share. The food came out fast and everything was delicious! The wrap was like a panini-pressed gyro. The meat was tender, the red pepper spread gave it a great kick, and the fresh parsley really added a pop of flavor. I've worked near Old Town Pasadena for over 10 years and never knew about this gem! I ended up moving companies and everyone in the office was all about this place. I gave it try and I pretty much eat here once a week now. My go to is double pleasure with a side a fries. The wrap is literally a size of an adults arm and easily lasts two meals. Fries are delicious too! Service is average during the lunchtime hour so definitely recommend ordering ahead in you are in a rush. The place is a bit small but I usually just stop and go to get a wrap. There is no easy place to park but try to stop quickly to get a wrap. My favorite is the Great Greek Wrap and the Chicken press. Both are excellent and perfect portions. The sauce they add as a side is soooooooo GOOD and usually makes the entire meal extra tasty. There are several side choices and salads. You can tell it is family-owned and the food comes from the heart type of feel. Ordered the chicken schwarma plate and it was so tasty, and the sides were so unique. With the green smoothie, which was full of veggies, I felt that I ate a full meal that is really good for the health and tastes good. My date got a wrap and loved it. Then I walked up to ask for a cup of water, she said no water. I said what do you mean no water, how do you not have water in a restaurant. She said you want water you have to buy a bottle of water. You have a walk-in customer that you paid 0 dollars acquisition costs. You need two things in a restaurant, good service and good food. You really messed up on the service part. Great food but Credit Card machine has not worked since maybe 2021? Bending and damaging our cards.. always ends in forcing to pay cash. We eat at this place every few months and never fails that this happens. The people in front and behind us in line also had issues and had to pay cash. It's almost as if they have not fixed the credit card machines to make it a cash only establishment? Please be upfront about it if so and ditch the machines that are bending and ruining our credit cards in your attempt to use them. read more
