He is both professional, gets the job done well and in a timely manner, and has an incredible product. I had to get my Danner's resoled for work he replaced them with a great quality Vibram sole. If it was possible to leave negative stars I wouldve done it. This place is a joke and you shouldn't waste your time, energy, and even risk having your belongings destroyed when coming in. Come on this place is supposed to fix what is broke but some how they managed to return it worse then before. I came in September 15,2023 to get a pair of Coach sandles fixed( the strap was too big on me). They said it will be $75 to fix my shoes. Easy fix right? WRONG! I had gotten these sandals for my 18th birthday and these sandals meant a lot to me. I go into the store and a young blond lady helped me and measured how much of the strap to take off. She also tells me that the person who is going to be working on it is out of town till the following tues and will work on it wednesday. She said give it 3 weeks. I come in 3 weeks later and they had done nothing and haven't even made time to fix it. So 3 weeks later I call before going and a lady said they have been fixed and ready for pick up. I go and pick them up and turns out they destroyed my shoes. They made them extremely tight to the point where I couldnt even get my toes in. They tell me theyll fix it and I was hoping they had something to do so. Fast forward its like november there is no word about my shoes no one has been keeping me updated so I go back to the store and they are still the exact same from before(this was weeks after)!!!!! At this point I call my aunt who gifted them to me and she had to end up handling this situation. They ruined my shoes beyond repair and they had to cut me a check of how much the shoes cost because they couldnt fix their own mistake. Now it's january and I had just gotten my shoes back and the check. At first the guy didnt even want to give me MY shoes back, he said he can cut me a check but that was it. My aunt argued with him to give me my shoes back and also the check. I do not want these people to make a single sale off of my shoes. 4 months of my time wasted at this place for nothing to be resolved and to be left leaving worse then when I first came in. And to top it off they knew they couldn't fix my shoes after they did the damage but they took advantage of me becoming I was a young girl. WHAT. A. JOKE!!!!! Definitely recommend this place for anyone who has a favorite pair of boots they need redone so that they are wearable for more years to come! Took in my husbands 3 favorite pairs of caiman boots (boots he wears for EVERY occasion) to be resoled and polished. When you go into a business asking for a service you most likely can prepare to get extra work done and pay a little extra as well, however, it was the opposite here!!! When we walked in and showed him the pair of boots he said they really didn't need to be resoled yet, he said maybe a polish and some inserts only. We asked him are you sure? And he said yes he doesn't want us to pay more for something that doesn't need to be done quite yet. I really appreciated that, he wasn't trying to sell us on something, he was being honest and even checked the boots again for us and said no they just needed inserts. Now the service was quick- only 1 week for the boots to be done. Upon pick up I can tell you we were BEYOND happy with the results! The boots looked the same as when we got them! And my husband said they were even more comfortable as well! The price we paid for what was done was not enough at all! So my husband tipped him and walked out with the biggest smile on his face (like a kid in the candy store) and with his favorite boots that looked brand new in his hand. If I could give a lower rating, I would. My husband had a very sweet and romantic thing he wanted to do as a surprise for me for our 40th anniversary. He purchased (secretly) a woman's small motorcycle leather jacket with the idea of duplicating a jacket we saw once almost 40 years ago up in San Francisco. We could not afford such an expensive jacket at the time and had to walk away. We have talked occasionally over all these years about that jacket. My husband took it here and met 4-5 times with Giorgio to pick out the applique rose and banner underneath. Every time my husband went in to check on the jacket, Giorgio kept raising his price. My husband kept telling him not to worry about the cost- this was such a special surprise for me for our 40th. My husband gave Giorgio more than 4 months to do this. He never ever contacted my husband to state there was any problem. When my husband arrived there a couple days ago to pick up the "finished" jacket he was so excited about, turned out absolutely NOTHING had ever even been done. 4 months, multiple visits, a concrete deadline in place and yet this horrible person did absolutely zero on this jacket. My husband was heartbroken and so disappointed. He came home and told me the whole story and was as sad and upset as I have rarely ever seen him. Giorgio never even apologized. Nothing. Just 1 lame excuse about a seamstress breaking an arm. Huh??? 4 months and you chose every single day to do nothing whatsoever for a customer who had come in several times, told him the story of the jacket and how much I would love this. This man cannot have an ounce of heart or conscience or anything. We are both disgusted with Giorgio's behavior with something so important to my husband. Based on this experience, I cannot conceive how anyone ever gets their work done by this shop. I can't comment on quality of work, since no work was ever done. Even if a seamstress broke an arm- can Giorgio not also work??? Someone, sometime in these 4 months could have easily accomplished this jacket and made my husband and me so happy. You know what's really cool about Georgios? They don't skim on the quality. I first came in to get my shoes polished and they use saphir products! If you aren't familiar with the brand YouTube it :) If you look at he pictures you can see quality products being used like the JR soles and the svig heels. I am SO impressed. Everything from the quality of the work to the personalized customer service to even the decor. There is something charming about this place. It has a feel of old European cobbler mixed with Americana nostalgia. I took two pairs of boots in for re-heeling. I wasn't in a hurry for them but within 3 days I picked them both up. They were properly replaced and the shoes were repaired in places that I didn't realize needed to be. A master at his craft, Arsen identified that I had worn not only the heel off but also part of the second layer. So naturally when I picked them up I wanted to see what he had done and I can tell there was extensive repair needed once the worn heels were off. The packaging was so cool. It was like a present waiting for me to open. Maybe it's the holidays talking but I really did feel like a present waiting for me to rip open! You'll notice in the picture that there is a thank you card attached and on the back it is a coupon for my next shoe care purchase. Overall I am VERY happy with the results, service and speed. It was a Thursday afternoon, and I was on a spontaneous first date. The first restaurant we went to was closed. So we decided to wait for Cracked Pepper to open...since we were early I thought I'd take my date to Georgio's. I had been here about 2 years ago to get some boots resoled and loved the unique feeling when I had visited. Like walking through the front door takes you to another place and time. Georgio vaguely remembered me but with a bit of conversation it was like I had seen him just last week and we were catching up on life. And the boots he did are still in great shape by the way. We walked through the store admiring all the pieces that were on display and I talked about the craftsmanship and care put into each one. We sat around for a bit and enjoyed conversation, the ambiance and great hospitality. It set a good tone and tempo for the rest of the evening. Although this story didn't describe any direct customer experience in relation to a purchase, it was a very memorable experience none the less. Who knows, if I end up getting married to her I'll have to update this review ! I'll also have to go back to get a custom piece commissioned when I come up with the right idea. I've had only the very BEST of service from Georgio's here. They take any shoe I give them, no matter how tatty and used up, and make them like new again for extremely reasonable prices. I recently had them completely rebuild a pair of Corcoran Jump boots and he made them like new again, while also adding in some special features I'd requested like a taller Cuban heel and new lace eyelets/speedhooks. I have an old pair of Wolverine 1000 Mile boots that I'm ready to give him for a full resole, and am certain he'll make them look incredible again. HIGHLY recommended cobbler, and a suuuuuper nice guy (actually, everyone who works there is very nice!). High quality leather goods are hard to come by in Fresno, and it's great to not only find a place that carries great products, but a staff that goes above and beyond in catering to their customers needs. I have taken my shoes to another highly rated shoe repair place in town, and was happy about the repair. A few years later that same pair of shoes needed some work done to bring them up to snuff.
