The service here is outstanding. They go out of their way to ensure you are absolutely happy with your purchase. In my case, I had gout trouble back in 2021and they had the perfect shoe for me When it came time to replace them, I automatically had them repurchase a pair. However, my feet weren't so swollen anymore due to a better medication, and the store ordered me two narrower sizes at my request before driving back up to decide which one fit best. I needed work shoes right away and sent a friend to order SAS clogs for me as I was working and SAS is closed on my one day off. My friend mistakenly went to Roxanne's Birkenstock instead of SAS. I had written down "SAS black women's nonslip clogs, size 7.5" so my friend would know exactly what to order. The saleswomen at Roxanne's Birkenstock ignored this info and sold my friend a Birkenstock clog instead. It seems like it should have been obvious that this was not what was being requested. At least she should have asked, when it was clear that he was in the wrong shop, imo. My friend delivered the shoes to me at work., and I saw immediately that they were from the wrong store. I never wore them at all and we tried to return them immediately, once we realized the mistake. But the shop refused to let us return the unwanted shoes and instead only issued me store credit, which I had no use for as I don't wear Birkenstocks and I needed a very specific shoe for work. I understand this mistake was partially our fault but, still, I'm disappointed in how the situation was handled. The shoes in question were brand new, never worn, and we tried to return them within half a hour of having purchased them. It was an expensive mistake, in the end. If you order from this store please keep in mind that they don't allow returns even on newly purchased, unworn shoes. read more

I was in town visiting family when I stopped by to take a look around with my mother. I was looking around when I overheard my mother ask the associate when they'd be having their next sale. As I turn around to walk towards them, she's looking at my mother as if she had no idea what she said and replied with, "What? Do you need Spanish?" Then looks at me. First of all, we are not even Hispanic. My mother has an accent, but speaks perfect English. At that point I just repeat the question and the woman answered. But to be someone of the associates big age, maybe listening skills should be developed already. And if you're working in customer service you shouldn't be prejudiced and so quick to assume just because someone has dark hair that you won't be able to understand them and they're speaking Spanish. This was an older Caucasian woman with lighter hair. From that experience, I will absolutely not be returning. It was a very ugly interaction. I've already spoken to many others and they agree the service here is terrible. We took our business elsewhere. read more

Sometimes I dread coming here, sometimes I don't. It's a mixed review but judging my this last past visit, I might just stop coming here altogether. First of all they have a no return policy! Exchange only or store credit is the arrangements you must make here if you're not satisfied with purchases, which 1.) makes me scared to buy anything in the first place. Zero refunds is a commitment and I can't reason with that especially when I'm buying a gift and 2.) What is if I find a better deal somewhere else and decide to return my unworn purchase? Also sometimes customer service is as solid as a rock but this past visit I felt like I was in the "hurry up and buy" mode. I felt like I was looked down upon because I had tattoos and wasn't all glammed up. I felt so awkward that I left and decided to just make my purchase online instead. Absolute delight. Read the past reviews and was not looking forward to their lackluster customer service. To my surprise we were greeted with a smile. Went further into the store and was greeted again by another clerk. I picked their classic Arizona and was given a variety of sizes and styles to choose from. I've been here a few times mostly to look at their nursing shoes collection. They have a variety of shoes and brands. If your looking for a bargain this place is usually not it unless they have sales. The customer service is excellent. Went on Sunday right when they opened and was greeted as I entered. The workers were very friendly and helped me to get my shoe size. The store is clean and organized and they practiced social distancing. I bought a pair of alegria shoes I was sad that they had very limited options. Alegria may not be the most stylish like dansko but they are the most comfortable shoes ever especially for those who are on their feet for long hours. I would definitely come back. I came in here yesterday to purchase my first pair of Birkenstocks. I wasn't sure what to expect, but when I went on Birkenstocks' website to find a retailer near me, this store popped up. I usually like to judge an establishment myself rather than base it off of a few bad reviews. I am so glad that I did! Every employee here was extremely knowledgeable about everything I had a question about. They were also extremely friendly and provided some of the best customer service I've ever experienced (unfortunately I didn't get any names). Love this shoe store. A few times a year they do really great sales but even when there isn't, the customer service can't be beat. These are shoes with comfort in mind, they aren't super fashionable. This last visit I was on the hunt for nice looking AND comfortable boots. I did find some but they didn't fit my fat foot. The young sales guy (I'm totally doing you a disservice not remembering his name, sorry) was so great - he first led me over to the sales shoes and then went off to find any and all size 10 wide shoes available in the store. I turned down every single one of the 10 shoes he brought me because, like I said, I wanted nice looking boots. He was completely unfazed and not resentful that I didn't like anything he brought me; he just wanted to make sure I got to see everything in my size in case I did like it. I finally did fall in love with some suede maroon short boots on sale, yay! They are super comfy and go with a lot of my stuff. My daughter got me a pair of Ugg's go a Christmas present & wanted to exchange them. Unfortunately the ones I wanted weren't going to be available until July!!! And they would only give me a credit . I was able to purchase the Ugg's immediately from Nordstrom's. Not sure what I'll due with the credit - don't care for Birkenstock's & hate Crocs. I guess I'll have to go see what else they have. Best shoe store EVER! I lived in Fresno for 4 years and this is the best shoe store I have been to. Best selection of high quality, name brand, comfort casual and business shoes. I purchased several pairs of shoes while living there and then twice this year while traveling down to Visalia to see my brother. I live above Sacramento now and I am yet to find a better shoe store. Friendly knowledgeable staff and nice atmosphere. I will continue to purchase here for years to come. Glad they are still standing during all of the business closures. I cringe when I see people walking around with their toes hanging over the soles - sorry, pet peeve of mine. These folks know their shoes and will not steer you wrong. Brought in a pair of Birkenstocks for a new footbed. The size of the new foot bed was considerably smaller (a full size smaller) than the size that they were when brought in for repair. The manager acknowledged the mistake and that the person doing the repairs should have noticed the difference and made the adjustment or called me. Their resolution was to charge me for another footbed and they would waive the labor fee. In the end, I would be paying MUCH MORE than a new pair of Birkenstocks and pay for two footbeds, but only get one. I now have a favorite pair of Birkenstocks that I can only wear with pain and they have my $90!!! read more

Arrogant and snooty sales clerks. Wtf. I went there to look for a new pair of birkenstock and there was a pair that I really liked. However, they did not have it in my size and they offered to order it for me online. I said no, that I would look for them online myself IN CASE I decided to get them. So I asked the name of the style and this arrogant sales clerk, I forgot to get his name, arrogantly tells me that I'm taking aways sales from them by ordering them myself online and REFUSED to tell me the name of the style of the shoes. I've never had such an experience in a store before. If this is the kind of service that one get by buying or shopping local, then never mind. I can do without it. Sheesh. P.S. I spoke to the manager on the phone because it was really bothering me, and she was just like "okay". Kept saying "okay" the whole time. And her excuse for the rude behavior of her clerk was "to encourage to buy local". So rude behavior is encouraged for the sake of making profit? Not once did she apologize for the rude behavior of her clerk. I'm astounded by their level of unprofessionalism. And to the store manager whom I spoke with... I truly felt sorry for complaining earlier, but I take it back. I am not sorry. Why you're still in business is completely beyond me. read more

WORST customer service and manager in charge. I bought a pair of Dansko shoes in June 2018. When purchased, the cashier told me Dansko is good about exchanging shoes when any type of manufacture defect as long as it's been within the year from date of purchase (with good reason because the shoes are expensive) she also asked me to follow them on social media for a $5 discount. Sure, why not? 4 months after buying the shoes, the leather on one shoe ripped. I didn't bring them in right away since I have a year to exchange. Well just two weeks ago I brought the shoes in since it's starting to rain and I don't want my feet getting soaked. A man named Ian helped me and said they would have to ship the shoes to Dansko and wait to hear back as to whether or not they would exchange the shoes. He said the entire process would take 3-5 weeks which sounds about right. I called Roxanne's 5 days ago (not even 2 weeks from when I dropped off the shoes) to see if the shoes had been shipped out yet or if they had made it to Dansko. Ian told me not only had the shoes made it to Dansko, but they already had the shoes back AND Dansko had replied saying they would not give me an exchange because the shoes had clearly been worn?!? Uhm you think? I payed $160 for them OF COURSE I've worn them. He also said that his manager was "MoRe ThAn HaPpy" to give me a 20% discount on another pair from the store. Hmm sounds a little convenient doesn't it. Also they had my shoes and a response from Dansko but didn't notify me? I went to pick them up and told the cashier I would be contacting Dansko because it didn't make sense that they wouldn't exchange the shoes since it had not even been 7 months since purchased. I asked for a receipt showing they'd shipped the shoes in case Dansko asked for it. She said only the manager would know so she called for her. We now meet BECKY. She approached me with a grim look on her face. Non apologetic what so ever. "Uhm yes?"..."uhm yes, I told her I'm here for my shoes." When I asked for a receipt of shipment and if she could go into detail as to why Dansko wouldn't exchange, she said Dansko emailed them saying it didn't look like manufacture defect. She also added that to her and another manager, it looked like the tear was from an animal bite?! So therefore that would not be a manufacture defect. Lmao what?! Sounds to me like they never sent the shoes to begin with and conveniently offered me a discount on another pair of shoes...because how did they ship them, get them back and a response from the company in 11 days? (And never even contact me) I told her I'd be contacting dansko to see what I could do. Luckily, she was dumb enough to offer me a receipt from when I purchased and I was smart enough to keep MY original copy. When I got in my car I called Dansko and their rep said they would exchange the shoes....JUST. LIKE. THAT. No hassles at all!! All they would need was to contact Roxanne's for the copy of receipt of my purchase, which at this point I had my copy and the one Becky had just given me. Well what do you know! The receipt she gave me DOES NOT MATCH my copy! APPARENTLY when Roxanne's offers a $5 discount in exchange for a follow/check-in on social media, they do the complete OPPOSITE and charge an ADDITIONAL $5 dollars to their CUSTOMERS!STEALING from customers who are already spending at their store on expensive shoes! I still remember when I payed for the shoes, thinking "geez doesn't sound like they discounted anything but whatever..I probably don't notice a difference since the shoes are expensive as it is." And I do remember every customer in front of me checking in/following to get the discount. I mean it's just $5 dollars if you compare it to what you're already spending but the fact that they're STEALING from every single customer...I mean cmon..it adds up. Today I had my best shopping experience in this store! Seems like tHey had the perfect boot for me. I've tried on line and returned them since the fit was off.i also discovered I'm an 11 in most shoes I've tried on when I had been a 10. Ten isn't roomy enough in most shoes. So the sales person was helpful and attentive and really did a great job! Thanks for the positive experience today... Nancy I know my past experience with this store hasn't been that great. The sales people weren't the issue per say. They are running around trying to please all their customers at once. I have worked in a couple of shoe stores and I know how much energy is consumed in doing the best I can. The girl who helped today was considerate and she really cared about my finding what I came in for. LiTerally putting yourself in their shoes helps to understand how hard it is to help people! read more

I gave 2 stars just because I have been getting good products from them. But last Jan 30, 2020 I ordered a Dr Marten's Chelsea boot ,came Feb 12, 2020 they informed me that it was back ordered. So, I said OK that happens but it would be nice if I was notified earlier. Never heard from them til I called last March 9, 2020 and spoke to their staff. She said she was in contact with Dr. Martens and the product will be arriving Mar 12, 2020. Guess what, I called yesterday and the product was not available still. Followed up today 3/13/20 and was informed that the order never left from the warehouse. I decided to cancel the order. Brought my beloved 12+ year old Birkenstocks here for repair and am amazed with the results! Roxanne's replaced both the footbed and the sole, letting me keep my orange upper intact.
