I scoured Yelp for anything in the Fresno area that had mention of "same day suits" and I walked into Sam's with a hope and a prayer, but very tempered expectations that this was an impossible ask. We arrived right at noon at opening, were helped right away, and bought a suit that we picked up with minor alterations three hours later!! He even has shoes and belts for sale too, if you are in the market for that. The service was quick. I walked in and told him I was interested in buying a suit and he began to fit me right away. Even though this time only the owner's son was available, I received pretty quick service again and picked up my suit the same day after running some errands. Originally, the owner did not have any slim-fit suits on him, so I gave him a call asking about them, and he said he would bring them the following week. He kept to his word, and I left with what I wanted hassle free. I do not think I would receive the prices, quick alterations, and friendly service anywhere else. Great deal for a tuxedo. Instead of paying $100 for a rental, you can go to Sam's and have your own for $115. It is a one person shop and Sam does everything for you. It is cash only and it ends up costing $150 out the door, but this includes your shoes (actually pretty nice ones), your tuxedo (alterations are part of the extra price, as are taxes), shirt, bowtie, and cumberbun. This is way better than paying for a rental and getting nothing in return. Now we have a tux we can use for two years and beyond. He even made everything a little larger so my can grow into it. read more

I found Sam on the Internet, Yelp to be exact. Our third daughter is getting married and I decided I was tired of renting a tuxedo, shirt, etc. and not being happy with how it fits. I wanted to have my own tuxedo, shirt, vest and bow tie tailored to fit me. I'm not easy to fit...5' 8", 220 pounds with a 40 inch waist, 48 inch chest and 18 inch neck. I found exactly what I wanted at Sam's. The jacket and pants were tailored to fit me perfectly. Sam adjusted the jacket sleeve length so that my cufflinks would just show. I purchased a shirt with studs and two bow ties...and a low cut vest. I would have got my shoes at Sam's but I have a very high and wide instep and he didn't have any that would fit me. Out the door it cost me $225.00. I still can't believe it. Not long ago I spent over $1,000 for two suites. A major amount of this went into the tailoring. Next time I'll see Sam.
