Tiny little venue nestled in the mountains. I have seen two shows here and love this place! Winter or summer, it's pretty incredible with a ton of amenities.

The lawn tickets are the best experience in Vail. Special $5 pricing for 12 and under kids. Fabulous venue and great staff. Good value food on site. They'll let you bring your own small side Yeti cooler of food.

What a fantastic outdoor venue up in beautiful Vail, Colorado! What better way to finish off the Oktoberfest then by seeing Death Cab for Cutie up there! We loved the large seating area and lawn sections. Opting for a late ticket still got us nearly 20 rows back and really close to the band! The venue is located a bit down the road past the transport center, and pretty easy to get to. There's a pretty nature center and it's set right in the pine trees and along the creek. I thought the staff was nice and I enjoyed the merch tent. Sound quality was great and for the money, you can sit really close to your favorite artist!

Great music venue with an incredible amphitheater that's built to last, lots of hardwoods and meticulously clean. Came to a Bravo/Vail music festival series to see/hear Joshua Bell. Has lawn seating where people line up 1 hr before to get a center seat and they have stadium seating. There's concessions of food, snacks and a full bar along with bottles of wine you can carry to your seats. Top notch organization running this amphitheater that's both professional and not invasive. I was well pleased with attending the music festival. Venue can a bit country, so don't hesitate to wear a red plaid shirt, jeans and a cowboy hat to the venue. I never seen so many men chinos pants since I was working in Financial services.

The Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater is nestled in a serene natural setting along Gore Creek, with the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens as a backdrop. Beyond the covered seating, a manicured lawn provides casual space for beach chairs or blankets. Bring your own food, or buy it there, as well as alcohol (no outside alcohol). The Free Tuesday Night Concerts were the place to be during Summer. Packed audiences enjoyed the cool Summer Nights. Weekend Concert tickets start @ $35. Special events were held, celebrating the Amphitheater's 30th Anniversary. From Solo Artists to Orchestras, all gave amazing performances. A variety of musical genres was presented.

Awesome place to see a concert! It's like a mini-Hollywood Bowl. Bring an umbrella! You can also bring your own food.

Sitting in the lawn was a great idea, with enough room for a toddler to run around and the music carried beautifully out of the amphitheater for us.

A really lovely experience in Vail. The Austrian ambiance is over the top on just the right way,…read moreand it fits in with Vail's faux-Alp atmosphere quite well. The food was also delicious. I tried the porcini mushroom soup with truffle dumplings and all of it was delicious and savory and warm, and even served with a delightful carnation on the side! For the main course I tried the pork shank (Schweinsaxon?) and the meat was fall off the bone good. The mashed potatoes were tasty but the sauerkraut was truly phenomenal. It's not a bargain meal, but it's not nearly as expensive as it could be, being tucked into Vail and visited by a very wealthy cadre of visitors. The service was also great. I commented on one of the waitstaff's steampunk goggles and he asked if I wanted to try them on for a photo op. I declined, but laughed at the invitation. All our questions were answered with politeness and ease, and I was quickly taken care of when I asked to buy a slice of cake on the way out. Would love to make this an annual December visit tradition.

The amount of fondue was absolutely paltry, especially given it was supposed to serve two people and cost $80. We had a nearly full basket of bread remaining after eating all the cheese. They also provided boiled potatoes and blanched vegetables to dip in the cheese along with dried fruit but that only made the meager cheese situation worse. It was more appetizer sized and even the fondue itself was bland and lackluster with no flavors of kirsch, wine, or other seasonings. We had to go somewhere else to actually get dinner. I appreciate the waiter discounting our meal to try and make up for it. The portions of the other entrees looked good so maybe go here for those and skip the fondue.

We stopped in at the Red Lion after skiing…read more It was crowded and we were looking for an outside table for six people. Only four of us were there as the other two were across the street at Christy's returning their rental skis. There was a table of 6 but the hostess said she couldn't sit us until the other two arrived. Right then, a guy walks up and asks for that same table. He was by himself and she gave the table with six chairs to him. His full party was clearly not there but she sat him anyway. Why is that allowed? Clearly favoritism. And to be clear, two of his friends showed up and the other three never arrived. So, at that point we told the hostess we were now a table of four and she said we could sit at a table that had 3 chairs. Well okay....we took it. We grabbed the table and asked other tables around us for the extra 3 chairs and everyone was nice enough to give us the extra chairs. Our server, Suzanne was excellent. Very attentive, friendly and immediately brought us our drinks and food. The nachos were tasty. Drinks were good but pricy. I give Suzanne 5 stars, food 3 stars hostess 0 stars. Treat everyone fairly and respectfully. The hostess could use customer service training.

We came in later in the evening specifically for the prime rib, and although we were initially told it was sold out, he came back and told us they have one left, they made it happen! All of the dishes were decent, but the prime rib--which I expected to be the highlight of the meal--turned out to be EXTREMELY tough. I struggled to slice it even with a steak knife, and it was also quite flavorless. I ended up leaving most of it unfinished, as shown in the photo. I had hoped the server would ask if anything was wrong with the dish after seeing so much of it left on the plate, but he didn't. Considering the quality, the prices were on the higher end. I'd recommend going somewhere else if you don't want to experience the worst prime rib dinner.

Service was lacking big time. Food came very late and it was very difficult to get our server's attention. Waters were seldom refilled. In one word- Service was disappointing ! Coming to the food : We got Chicken Wings which were very different but not in a good way. I would rate them 7/10. Assorted dumplings did not have any dumplings. It had bunch of shallow fried shrimps, gyoza and chicken sate kind of appetizer . Very misleading menu item. Ordered quesadilla for my kid and it was not good. My wife ordered a Mezcal drink which was watered down a lot. The only saving grace were the desserts which I must say were truly mind blowing. The Toasted Pineapple Gelato was one of the best I've ever had ! (a big reason I am upgrading my review to 3 stars from 2 stars) and the chocolate bomb was amazing too. Overall - We will NOT return to dine in here but we will be back for desserts for sure if we are in the area !
