When it comes Italian eateries in the Northwest Arkansas area, Geraldi's is number one compared to the other restaurants around such as Noodles, Olive Garden, Renzo's, Bocca Italian eatery, and even Pesto cafe to name a few. Not sure how it stacks up against higher end restaurants like Vetro 1925 or Bordino's but it's 2nd to none to the rest. It's even our go to pizza joint. Just okay food, pasta is pretty bland and dry. I had the chicken parm. Chicken wasn't amazing, pretty oily. Tried my partners spicy shrimp pasta and it was great tasting but also extremely oily and would have made an upset stomach if eating the full dish. Mozzarella sticks and calamari appetizers were mediocre at best. Mozz sticks would have been phenomenal with about a minute longer in the fryer, but they were pulled too early and we're still not melted through and were blocks of cheese again within 5 minutes of being delivered to the table. Inside was dim lit and kind of dreary for a 2pm in the afternoon on a weekend. Probably won't try again unless someone else recommends we go. read more

Been a staple for years, and is always excellent with great service, large portions, and great food. Pasta, calzones, and pizza are all great. Give lots of good garlic bread as an appetizer. We absolutely loved our first trip to Geraldi's! It's a casual little Italian spot that doesn't look like much, but the food was INCREDIBLE. Start off with the garlic bread and a side of marinara to dip it in. This was maybe the best garlic bread I've ever had, I had to really control myself to not eat the whole basket! I split the lasagna, which was so so good. And splitting was definitely the way to go after all the garlic bread we ate. They split it on 2 separate plates to make it easy for sharing which I always really appreciate. Other people in our party got the Pepperoni and Sausage Calzone as well as the Mediterranean Pasta. Everyone was raving about their food! We also paired it with a Peroni, which was a great Italian beer to go with our Italian meal! We did go on a Friday on a home game weekend, so the place was packed and parking was a little difficult. Maybe get there early or just be prepared to wait a little bit (it wasn't too bad though!). They do require your entire party to be there before you get on the list so be prepared for that as well. read more

I went to this restaurant expecting to be greeted with authentic Italian and was found with a MICROWAVED hot meal. I got the "spicy" shrimp Alfredo. The shrimp was rubbery and the pasta was stuck to the plate and stale, signaling that it was microwaved. Absolutely disgusting. I would recommend going else where for actual Italian. My wife and I went to Guaraldi's the night before the Garth Brooks concert. We were ecstatic initially because it was so close to our Airbnb. For the record, it's not high and Italian. It is very basic and traditional Italian food. The big plus is that it is very good traditional Italian food. Not a fancy wine list just some good basic wines to have with your scrumptious meal. If you're just cruising into Fayetteville for a visit, if you haven't been there yet, you should check it out. read more

Visited Geraldi's again this past weekend. It's been too long between visits. Good food, fast service, consistent. Barely seated and they showed up with a very generous helping of hot garlic bread for the table. Takes willpower not to fill up on the bread (your old fashioned buttered, garlicky, soft in the middle slices with a crunchy chewy crust). Artisan bread? No. Delicious and addicting? Yes. At our table we had lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, and spaghetti with a creamy basil pesto. Portions are huge, red sauce is rich and full of flavor, meatballs are so good that I'm looking forward to trying the meatball sandwich next go around. The creamy pesto pasta could have been a touch warmer but was still flavorful. I like basil so heavy on the basil was fine for me but it's not a dish I would order again UNLESS it was offered as a half and half type entrée with the other half being a red sauce option. Gerardi's has excellent food for a decent price. The food is on par with a nice Italian restaurant. The waitstaff and presentation is on par with an Italian eatery or café. The pizza is highly recommended. If they would bring out a complimentary appetizer at the beginning such as garlic knots, train the waitstaff better, cut the tails off the shrimp before putting them in pasta and keep the prices the same, I'd give them 5 stars. read more

Almost every dish (actually, literally) except the pizza and lasagna-- is microwaved. Most sauces are prepared cold so the spices and fats are not properly married with the base-- flavorless. The kitchen is set up so that a bunch of(literally) inexperienced kids can prepare it. There are only two ranges for cooking in the entire kitchen, and they're not used in the cooking process after prep is done. The fact that this place is open over other, much more honest and vital, restaurants is a testament to our area's very simple tastes. Even at their bottom-barrel prices, you're hard-pressed to find anything in that restaurant that has an appropriate menu cost. You won't find a single real cook in the entire kitchen, especially not the two owners. The only reason this place is open is that, broke college students (mostly from the shittiest parts of rural America, and texas specifically) can afford it and it's within walking distance of campus. read more

I will go ahead and get the good out of the way. The restaurant appears clean from what we could see, and the dining area was also fairly clean. The portion sizes are fairly decent. The service was par, but our waitress did not seem to thrilled to help us. Also asked if a certain item had pork and was met with the answer "we don't have any pork here" in which we had to point out how half the menu has pork on it. Not only did she not know the menu but did not know what ingredients are in their entrees. Now the bad, to start was the bread brought to our table. It seemed very cheap and lacked any favorable qualities as well as having the potential to chip a tooth. The fried calamari app which i believe came in a bulk bag frozen was then fried for about 5 minutes longer than what was needed, and is a major mistake to get. At this point we did not want to order any entree fearing that it wouldn't be edible. We took what we thought was the safest route and ordered Spaghetti with meatballs and Chicken Parm. I was then met with the worst cafeteria Chicken parm i have ever witnessed. Absolutely disgusting, and lacked any flavor. My soggy tiny smashed cafeteria chicken was enough to justify even doing a review. My brother who ordered the spaghetti with meatballs could not even bite through the ancient balls of dirty old meat. We quickly left to find something better to overturn the horrible tastes in our mouths. Somehow this place is highly rated, maybe there is something here worth a damn, but i don't think its worth trying to find. read more
