Based on the high ratings, I expected a much higher level of professionalism and service. My 12-year-old daughter wanted a small section of her hair dyed bright red. Before booking, I called the salon for pricing and was initially quoted $100. Shortly afterward, I received another call informing me that the original quote was incorrect and that the actual price would be $120. While I wasn't happy about the change, I agreed and proceeded with the appointment. We showed the stylist a picture of exactly what my daughter wanted. However, when the coloring process was complete, her hair looked almost no different than before. The final result had nothing to do with the photo we provided, and the color was barely visible. As disappointing as the result was, the biggest shock came when it was time to pay. Instead of the agreed-upon $120, I was told the total was now $395 for a small section of colored hair. The salon simply decided to change the price without any discussion or approval from me. I paid because I did not want to create a scene in front of my daughter, who was already upset and disappointed with the outcome. After I expressed how unhappy I was and stated that I would be sharing my experience, the salon refunded $195. Even after the refund: I was still charged $200--$80 more than the agreed price. The hair color does not resemble what we requested and is barely visible. In other words, I paid $200 for a result that is essentially invisible, while my daughter left disappointed and upset. I genuinely do not understand how a business can operate this way. Changing prices without customer approval and delivering a result that does not match the requested service is completely unacceptable. Very disappointing experience.

Yvette (colorist) and Jairol (hair stylist) handled my appointment and were awesome! First off I was LATE by half an hour which I was so embarrassed by but they still took my appointment. Yvette's scalp massage during the hair washing was very relaxing! I showed Jairol example photos of the cut I was going for and he gave me advice on what he thought suited me, so my cut ended up being like a mix of the reference photos that I showed him. Before he was going to move on to blow drying my hair, I voiced my wish to go a little shorter, to which he obliged. I like that it seemed like both Yvette and Jairol took their time to do a really good job. Despite me being late, there was no sign of them rushing me out the door. Overall I felt very taken care of while I was here. Yes this is a bit of a higher end salon (I spent $370 here for cut + color + tip) but it's worth it. I personally only get a haircut like once a year so for me, it's worth the investment. I would definitely like to come back!

The pool with the view of the construction across the street and then the water was beautiful. Just really have to ignore the construction site, but where else you going to get a pretty view of the NYC skyline, wading in a pool on some upper floor? When we had our fill, we went to check out the other sections. The outdoor garden pool area was cool. I liked the different types of heated water and the nice waterfall. Still crowded. Went upstairs to the different saunas - they were really nice! My favorite was the K-body scrub. For 30 minutes, it was $75, which was totally worth it! All other places I've been to, made you do it for an hour with all this other foo-foo stuff and I loved that this K-body scrub was just a K-body scrub! Oh the feel of cleanliness! The food court area had really good food! Although overcrowded, it was well organized and thought out with how they serviced. (I've been to worse spas). There was a cool Japanese sand experience that you can see from the food court window, watching all these people get buried under the black sand for treatment. Maybe I would try on a future visit. The infinity pool on the rooftop was beautiful. But once again crowded with people who were trying to get a break from the city. Young people who wanted a social place to eat, drink, hang out and get a tan while wading in the pool with the beautiful skyline of NYC. Yes, I would definitely go back even though it was so crowded. It was a great experience. I would have given 5 stars if not for how annoyed I was with people. There is a bulky part in the bottom. The cuticle removal was messy, i still see particles not removed and parts of my nails are bleeding , the application of the color is terrible. The technically took my whole arm and held it up to see if the nails were filled straight and even though she did this "technique" 5 times, my nails were not straight..... dont come here. I want to share my experience with Enrique as both a masseuse and as the business owner of Face to Face NYC: Enrique gave me the "Ultimate Massage". When I came into the office at the lobby Enrique quickly acknowledged and greeted me. He went to make sure the room as perfect and then came back outside to take me into the room. The room was perfectly lit and air conditioned. He politely gave me time alone to get ready for the table and came back several minutes later to start the massage. The Ultimate Massage: I have never done a deep tissue massage before and so I was not sure what to expect. Enrique delivered in the perfect amount of pressure to apply onto my hard knots both on my back and my shoulders. He started off on my shoulders and upper back and I had such difficult knots on my shoulders it was so painful feeling him loosen them up gradually. But that "pain" was pain of relief and comfort. Enrique did a wonderful job on my neck, shoulders, and back. He then proceeded to the rest of my body: legs, feet, arms, and hands. I had no idea that I had secret hard knots all over my forearm and legs. Enrique used his professionalism and history of his craft by doing techniques that helped to ease up painful knots that has never been touched before; especially in a deep tissue massage. Overall: I felt very relieved and satisfied at the end of my Ultimate Massage that I had asked Enrique if he had time for 30-45 minutes more for a deep tissue massage specifically for my back and shoulders.
