After my vehicle was in a minor car accident we took it to Gerber in West Seneca (It was recommended by the insurance company). After a few days we got a notice our vehicle was done and ready for pickup. My wife told Jill that we would be in the next morning to pick our car up. We then received a call from the detectives from west Seneca police saying our vehicle was left outside and the wheels and rims were stolen, also the vehicle was scratched/banged up pretty good. So we asked the collision shop to replace the wheels. They referred to a document stating they aren't liable for any damages on their property. After back and forth we had to file ANOTHER insurance claim because of the negligence of this collision shop leaving vehicles out of there fenced area and locking the cars. I DO NOT recommend them, unless you want to file two insurance claims to have you vehicle damaged. read more

All they worry about is getting it done quick. Quality is not their mantra. My car had overspray in several places and body panels not aligned. When I pointed this out the manager seemed annoyed and unapologetic. Never going there again. read more

Are we talking about the same place, here??!! I'M TALKING about the Gerber Collision & Glass at 3820 Union Rd in Cheektowaga, 14225. Basically opposite George Urban Blvd, behind a Tim Horton's there. I'm asking the above because upon reading these reviews, some of them are talking about Carruba, or.........????? another place. THIS ONE is TERRIBLE! I've been there 3 times, over a period of a few years, but NEVER had work done there. And I'm SO GLAD I DIDN'T. 1st time: Went in for an estimate on damage. Bent fender. Short, heavy, balding gentleman virtually SIGHED........REPEATEDLY, HEAVILY. I couldn't help but get the impression that I was bothering him. Tramped out to the vehicle, more HEAVY SIGHING, and proceeded to tell me everything wrong with the car. Wasn't explaining so much as talking AT ME! Like I had "no right" to ask him to fix this junk. I got several impressions: 1. My car is a piece 'o crap. 2. He has NO INTEREST in fixing it. 3. I'm wasting his time by bringing to him such garbage. 2nd time: Another, minor damage estimate request. Middle of a summer day. All lights are on. Door is locked. I'm waiting, waiting, waiting.......finally I knock, LIGHTLY, on the door. After several minutes, SAME GUY as 1st time, walks up to the door, looks me up and down, "sizing me up" with a rotten look on his face, SIGHS HEAVILY, eventually unlocks the door and walks away. ????????--"Am I bothering you???!!" NO, I DIDN'T SAY THIS, but it's what I thought. I said, politely, "Is this a good time for you, or should I make an appointment?" He looks at me like I just insulted his mother. After several tense moments, he mumbles something like, "Yeah, well I got paperwork to do, too, ya know!!!" 3rd time: 1.24.23 I walk in. There's a "middle-aged" lady SHOUTING on her cell phone. In one fell swoop, and in a single breath she says, "YEAHIKNOWWHATYOUMEANIT'SAPAINAIN'TITOHBOYGOTTAGONOWI'LLTALKTOYOULATERYES???" ("YEAH, I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN IT'S A PAIN AIN'T IT? OH BOY GOTTA GO NOW I'LL TALK TO YOU LATER YES???"--I'm guessing the last word was for me. I ask for an estimate; this time there's a lot of damage. I say I'm gonna pay for it, so it's not an insurance claim. "WHO'S THE INSURANCE COMPANY???!!!! I start to explain, again, that I'm not going through insurance. Halfway through my sentence, she says, "WHO?!. IS??! YOUR?!. INSURANCE??!!. COMPANY???!!!!. She's saying it like I'm deaf and 6 years old. I barely get the name of the company outta my mouth and she says, "LOOK!!!!!!!" [blah, blah, blah, basically YELLING at me, something I didn't understand......] By then I'm already backing out of the door. As I'm leaving, she's still railing away about something. Me: "OK, thank you". I'm out. Never gonna step foot in that place again. read more

While they did tell me it would only be two days and it took closer to a week, and they did work without my permission and charged me money I had not agreed to pay, their work was beautiful and I am quite happy with the result. Even when it turned out that another problem arose thanks to the initial repair, they fixed the problem without charging me and put me in a rental car without any charge to me. They also had a loaner vehicle for me while they worked on my car, which was a life saver. If I ever need a body shop, I will come back here. My insurance company, however, will be different. Theirs hands were tied, and they wanted their money. read more

They did an excellent job of repairing my van. It was hit by a utility truck and the entire lift gate, window, bumper and rear quarter panel had to be replaced. When Ingot it back it was like new. Easy to work with. Rental car right there. No hassles. read more

This is an odd review in that I have not had work done here, only ordered to go here for a visual/photo inspection as a result of switching to Liberty Mutual. My initial contact with my phone call was with Ashley. Neither nice nor nasty but strange. Followed up with the actual visit and met the "nasty" Ashley. Rude, condescending and super self empowered. I could have/would have skipped this interview/photo inspection completely and gone elsewhere. And I shall for my last vehicle. I did not pay for this required visit but you better believe that based upon today's interaction I shall never bring business here. Ever. read more

Worst customer service and experience EVER! The girl at the front desk has a serious issue with rolling her eyes and neck when you're speaking to her, and constantly has a scowl on her face. I don't think she has ever once been pleasant when I've gone in for any type of service for my vehicle. Also, they "fixed" my back passenger side door last year after I was side-swiped; what a pathetic job they did! Less than a year later when approaching my vehicle I noticed brown discoloration on said door (vehicle is grey), and when I inspected the area I noticed all of the paint where they "fixed" my vehicle was cracked and rust was what was causing the discoloration. I brought it back in and asked if they had just painted over the original cracks in the paint (from the accident), to which the man rudely replied "we would NEVER just paint over it!" Yet no explanation was given to inform me of how this could have happened! Luckily they agreed to cover my rental as my insurance had originally paid for it, however, with a child and family to drive around I had to pay for an upgrade to an SUV as my insurance wouldn't cover that. When I took my SUV in I found out Carubba would only cover the tiniest compact car Enterprise had and nothing more! Well, let me tell ya a car seat (let alone 2) does NOT fit in the back of a Ford Fiesta! When I asked for an upgrade I was denied and told I'd have to pay for my rental if that was what I WANTED... well, I didn't want it I NEEDED it! I have family in town and I'm sorry but a Fiesta is NOT capable of transporting TWO children in carseats, an older child, and 3 adults; yet they did not care. I asked my husband to call and resolve the issue and the entire phone call the manager spoke over my husband and would NOT let him get a word in at all, can the employees be any more rude?! Supposedly, my SUV will be ready today and thankfully Enterprise WILLINGLY (and for free) at least gave me a full size car. I hope for the sake of Carubba that my SUV is done CORRECTLY this time! I will NEVER have work done on my vehicle at a Carubba again, horrible horrible horrible customer service and attitudes; and I will be sure to tell ALL of my friends and family about this terrible experience! read more

After dropping my vehicle off at Carubba Collision on Monday, I got it back yesterday - Wednesday, only two days later! However, this was not rushed work, just efficient. I got rear ended during the November 2014 storm, and my bumper was completely cracked, in addition to a large scratch and slight dent on my driver's side door where I slid in to the vehicle that hit me. It took a little while to get an appointment to get the work done after the initial insurance inspection of the vehicle, but I found out that this was because they don't schedule an appointment until all of the parts are in - for me, an entirely new bumper. As my car was totally driveable, just ugly and sad, I really appreciated this. I more or less live in my car because of my 45 minute-each-way commute, and don't get excited when I have to transfer all of my crap to a rental and drive an unfamiliar car, so I liked that they didn't make me waste time in a rental waiting for the parts to come in. On the topic of rentals, there's an Enterprise connected to the shop, and Carubba communicates very well with them. When I walked in to drop off my car for repairs, they had already worked with Enterprise to set up a rental for me. I didn't have to do a thing, and that was awesome. So, when another reviewer mentioned that Ashley was a little brusque, that's true...but she's also REALLY efficient and good at her job. So, frankly, I don't really care about her bedside manner. My repairs were also an insurance claim on the other motorist's insurance, and once I connected the insurance company with Carubba, that's where my involvement ended. They billed the insurance directly and completely took over communications with them, which means my car was basically fixed like magic. I dropped it off, picked it up, and drove away. In addition to this awesome customer service experience, the work the techs did is beautiful. You would never even know I was in an accident - the car looks better than it did before I was hit. The paint is an exact match, and when I picked up my car, the tech actually did a walk around the vehicle with me to ensure that the work was to my satisfaction. He went through the care instructions for the new paint to make sure it kept looking just as beautiful (no hand waxing for a month, that sort of thing), and the techs vacuumed out my car. Seriously. This place is awesome. The tech was the most polite mechanic I've ever met in my life, and my family has been in the car business for 25 years. I can't recommend this Carubba location highly enough. If you want high quality, quick turnaround repair work done on your car, this is the place to go. read more

Unlike one other review I have read, my experience with Carruba Collision in West Seneca was most courteous and timely. I was kept informed over the 3 days my vehicle was in the shop for bodywork and the end result was a car that looked brand new. I found everyone to be great at explaining what needed to be done, was shown the old parts that were replaced and would definitely return again if the need arises. read more
