**COVID-19 REVIEW** I have been keeping my eye on a part of my windshield that had a rock hit it. It's slowly been crawling and after a hot day, it really took off. Then I knew I had to get it replaced. I made my appointment online last week and was able to easily pick a day and time slot that I wanted; there is an option for "Early Bird" in which you are the first customer of the day if they come for mobile service which is an additional $15. I had them come to my site during these times instead of going to their store. Very professional and organized from the minute I went to their website. It was easy to navigate, and the email communication was thorough and clear. I was updated via email on the morning of my service of who my technician was going to be with a picture. He called me to let me know he was en route and 15 minutes away. I had the car in the driveway ready for him to go to work after we socially distended, and I was informed of the process and given opportunities to ask any and all questions. They remove your car stickers and put them on again, too! The whole process took about an hour! After the work was done, Aaron explained that everything went well and "after care"; no car washes for a few days, and to make sure the tape was taken off prior to 72 hours, but could be taken off later in the day. I made an appointment for them to check out a couple gouges on my front windshield. After arriving, a worker came out to inspect the windshield. He said there was nothing they could do except replace the entire windshield. This is absolutely ridiculous. I know they could have buffed out the scratches, or used a filler to remove the scratch. A few weeks ago my 2013 Honda Accord Coupe was in for service for a large crack that grew from a stone chip. I drive the 290 daily and road construction seems a constant, as well as unclean flatbeds and dump-trucks that drop debris with every bump in the road. A very nice young man got me going in record speed with a new windshield - clean work, no problems, happy me Never thought I'd be back with my new ride. Yup, a dump-truck threw a rock and my one and one-half week old Lexus RC was the poor victim Darryl to the rescue. He explained the difference between filling the chip vs. replacing the windshield and the warranty that covers both services, allowing me to make a knowledgeable decision. He also let me know that if I preferred "Lexus" glass as provided on Lexus models, I can request such. So, since Safelite warranties their work, I opted to pay out of pocket for the repair (instead of the replacement). If for any reason the repair doesn't "hold," then I will take advantage of the Safelite warranty and order the Lexus glass replacement. read more

Should be illegal that they're still open. First they realize bought the wrong glass for my car after already taking apart my door. Then they leave with my car door in pieces. Then appointments keep getting pushed back without actually confirming with me. After an entire month since the initial appointment, they do the work and don't line the glass up and the door isn't put back together properly. I got there in person and I get the car back with the door handle not put back together properly and the window is still not sealed. The lock system in the door is also messed up and the speaker in the door is misaligned. read more

Arranged Safelight Auto Glass which came recommended through Progressive insurance.. They came and took apart my car.. Then refused to install my windshield because of rust around the seam.. After arguing with the service person..because there was no visible rust.. Sending pictures to local and regional managers.. They left me high and dry with my car in pieces.. And not drivable.. Spoke with the two managers that took the servicemans word over my photos and got no where.. Pure incompetence.. Had to arrange another company to install the glass while my car sits in my driveway with do not drive in black marker on my old windshield.. Who has time for this..? Now I'm without a vehicle.. Don't believe all the Safelight commercials you hear.. Do some reviews and don't just go with whom your insurance suggests.. Safelight dropped the ball on me and will for you too.. read more

Avoid at all cost!! Insurance just recommends safelite because they are the cheapest for those insurance companies. When you need to pay out of pocket they rip you off. They take your windshield off then tell you "sorry can replace due to rust" then make you pay for their time to rip that glass off, then you need to tow your vehicle to another place. For some reason, regardless of the vehicle I own, car thieves are drawn to my car and love to smash my windows, rifle through my stuff and maybe steal a thing or two. So I have become very familiar with Safelite. I've used their mobile service more often than their in-shop service because I don't want to drive to Depew. Mobile service may take longer to complete because they need to accommodate so many schedules. But it is worth it. Their communication with you is excellent. Multiple reminders about the appointment and phone calls when they're close by. They do great work generally speaking. On one occasion they accidentally put in non-tinted glass and when I advised them of this they quickly and apologetically replaced the glass. They will also order the extra parts such as panels or frames if the lovely car thief happened to damage other parts of the vehicle. The number one reason I was motivated to review this business was the professional service provided by the technicians. I've met a few. All have been great. The most recent technician remembered me from my break-in two years ago. It's always a pleasure to chat with these guys, despite the unfortunate situation. read more

I had to wait 5 hours to get my windshield replaced when I was told it was a 2 hour wait. I had an appointment at 10:30am and arrived promptly. Spoke with the front area lady and was told it was a 2 hour wait for the work to be completed. I was ok with that so I went to the mall nearby and came back at 1:00pm (2.5 hours past) and my car was still out front and in the spot I left it with my cracked windshield still. As I walked in the waiting area I watched a pair of people being approached that their car was done that had arrived at 11:00am to have their car fixed. It was just such a hassle that it didn't have to be. I left again and wasn't called until 3:30pm (another 2.5 hours past) to tell me my car was finally done. And the extra time wasn't worth the cheap wipers they put on my car to replace my rain ex wipers. read more

Not a good experience.. the first appointment never took place, the tech was supposed be at my home between 12 & 5, I received a call @ 4:45 from the manager telling me that the guy tried to call me @ 4:30 and I didn't answer my phone, I'm VP of an IT company my phone is glued to me .. so that was BS. Then she tried to tell me that it would be 2 weeks to reschedule , I told her unacceptable and I would contact my insurance company and eventually she said ok one week. The following week came and again the tech was supposed be at my home between 12 & 5, I called her around 3 or so since I had her number ( she called me in the morning and assured me she would be there between 12 & 5) only to tell me that she was too backed up and couldn't make it but she would let her manager know.. I didn't hear anything so I called the office and expressed my frustration that my wife had to take time off a second time and still not resolved and I would call the insurance company, they finally sent a tech @ 4:30 he was real nice and made the repair. read more

Service was less then good. I have a Honda windshield which has to be replaced by another Honda windshield due to the calibration that needs to be done for the safety features. They knew about this replacement for two weeks before my appointment. The day of appointment dropped car off was informed could take 2-2/12 hours received call 20 minutes in that they can not replace because they need the Honda windshield. Don't know why this was not ordered at time appointment was made. Honda windshield was ordered went back the next week for a 9:30 appointment dropped off the car @ 9:15 came back over an hour later and car hand not even been started. I shattered the back window on my SUV and called and scheduled safelite to come out to fix it a few days later. I was given a window of 12 pm till 5 pm. On the day they were supposed to come out I finally get a call after 4 pm saying they would not make it and looking to reschedule a few days later. I was furious, especially since we were expecting snow and cold the next few days. I objected and demanded they make me their first priority the next day. The next day they called and said it was too cold and since I did not have an indoor space to do the repairs, they again wanted to reschedule. After demanding a supervisor and some choice words, the technician agreed to come get my car, and drive it to their shop and repaired it. I was scheduled twice and no one showed up. I stated at work until 5:30PM for an appointment that was scheduled between 8AM-12PM. That was on 8/23. The tech was supposed to show up on Friday at the same time and again was a no-show. I called back and had to bring my car into the shop. I was told over the phone that it would take 15-20 mins. When I got to the shop I was told 45 mins for the wait time. When I told the person at the window that I was promised 15-20 mins, she said, "that must have been from the call center"! I was asked on multiple phone calls to purchase wipers from you. How can you push items when nobody has a clue of what's going on? I was very upset with the service. I will NEVER refer anyone to you. I scheduled an appointment for our company vehicle to have the windshield replaced between 12-5 on a Thursday. They were supposed to call when the tech was on the way, the tech ended up just showing up 5 min before we closed at 5pm and said he could not do the job unless we moved the vehicle inside because it was getting dark out. If they are scheduling appointments in the evening why do they not have lights in or on their vehicle?. The tech said the job would take 2 hours and if we could not accommodate him he said he would have a manager contact us to reschedule. I expressed to the tech we had an appointment to have the vehicle inspected in 3 days and he assured me again that a manager would call.
