A collision repair shop is never a place I care to visit but the odds are in favor of you having to do so at some point if you own and drive a vehicle. I was fortunate that my visit was to address some minor damage to my truck's bumper after an inattentive driver slid into me after a recent rain storm. The at fault driver having good insurance certainly reduced the stress especially when so many drivers aren't insured in this state, even though my coverage would have made this seamless it was nice to see the other driver step up and took responsibility and the Gerber staff made the transaction totally invisible to me thankfully. I chose Gerber Collision out of the many choices I was given so based on this shops location, the close proximity to obtain a rental car and the reviews on yelp were part of my decision - but it was the quality of the work reputation as well as the lifetime warranty on repairs that sealed the deal, although in this case they mostly changed out parts and had little color matching challenges the parts installation and alignment was nothing less than perfection. I showed up late afternoon on a Monday, the Gerber representative evaluated the damages and gave me her professional opinion on what was required to get things right and told me the work could be completed by the end of business on Thursday and if any other damage was found during the disassemble she would contact me. I got a call late on Wednesday telling me my truck repairs were completed and I could pick it up at 7:00 AM the next morning - I must say the work was completed quickly and exceeded my expectations, the customer service here was exceptional from the moment I walked through the door until the moment I picked up my vehicle - I definitely recommend this shop... read more

In a couple of words, horrible and uncommunicative. in the six times I tried to call this shop for status on parts for my repair, NOT ONCE did they ever answer the phone. It went to a national call service where they put you on hold while they try to get someone to answer the phone. If they tell you they will get back to you about something, they won't. Waiting for parts on backorder? Not going to happen. You could wait for months for all they care. If they make an appointment, don't take our vehicle in there. They could have it tied up indefinitely. Bottom line is any shop that cannot even give you the courtesy of answering a phone has no care about how much they inconvenience you. read more

Bait and switch. I was given an online estimate, went to the shop with the vehicle needing repair and paid for the parts to be ordered. No one reviewed my damage at that time. Upon arrival for the repairs, a repairman looked at the vehicle damage and said the original estimate was off by over a thousand dollars and that not all of the necessary parts or service were included in the original estimate! I am being reimbursed for the payment of the parts initially paid for. I will NOT recommend anyone anywhere use Gerber Collision and Glass. Bait and Switch is NOT an acceptable practice. read more

This was the worst experience of my life. They didn't send the order in for my parts not once, but twice, and didn't even have the courtesy to call me, the customer, to be made aware that they could not process the order due to a simple call I coild have made to my insurance company and fixed in 5 minutes. Instead, they ignore it, don't call the customer who believed the sorts have been ordered and I've now been unable to drive my car for over 2 months. So far, not a good experience. We brought our vehicle in on 1/6 for estimates which Gerber would then email to SilverRock (our warranty service). We were told it should take 48 hours for the information to be received for review. It is now 1/19 and I have called Gerber twice asking nicely when their estimate information will be sent to SilverRock. As of today, SilverRock tells me they still have not received anything from Gerber Collision and Glass. UPDATE: Another request is being sent by the office to Gerber's estimator to send the information in to SilverRock and then to email us a copy. Hopefully, this will finally get resolved and the ball rolling on repairs. read more

This is my third time going to Gerber, the first time I dropped my vehicle off and it was worked on for a month and 10 days and then I got it back for a week and it overheated in the engine shut off, I went to pick up my vehicle the second time and when I turn the vehicle on all the lights were still on, and I was left there for two hours without a rental because the rental company has to drop you off because Gerber is driving the rental vehicles around apparently, I went to pick it up for a third time not even 24 hours later, Them telling me that it was fixed. I pulled up to my vehicle and instantly the guy who had been taking me to and from Gerber who has seen my vehicle noticed a fresh scratch on the lower part of the right side of the vehicle, I had tried to let the general manager know Michael, but he is off of work until Monday, I had the pleasure of dealing with Jonathan who then fault with me in the lobby because I told him that the metal is torn off and scratched and he told me well it's not metal it's plastic, and no what way was he apologetic for the scratch and then tried to show me a photo showing the scratch that he had taken before, unfortunately it's at an angle and it's so hazy that there is no damage to be seen, so now I've gotten my car back on a Friday and I can wait through the whole weekend while my vehicle has been damaged externally as well as not repaired properly internally, Let's hope this third time is a charm,I will never go back to Gerber and I will make sure to take it to the dealership next time I should have listened to my friends and family, and I should have been aware of how manipulative this company is, especially to women. read more
