6/30/2026 - Well, in a surprise move to show their appreciation for my business, Gerber delivered my vehicle to me. Again, Ana has gone above and way beyond the call of duty. The work has a lifetime guarantee, she walked me through what was done, the vehicle was returned clean. This level of customer service is a dying art. Ana could teach a customer service seminar (and I had the chance to say that to her manager). Also, I would like to shout-out Katie, who took my calls a couple of times when Ana was unavailable. She was, always, professional, didn't guess at what the status was, took a message and passed it on to Ana (I know because I received a return call every time). She recognized the established rapport between myself and Ana and, though she was very helpful, left the final say to Ana. Should I have any, other issues, Gerber will be my first call. My car was clipped in the rear by some despot who drove away down RT 3 from Wellfleet on Monday morning 12/8 and we are visiting from Michigan. Took the Outback here and in a week and change, the car was repaired - you can't tell it was hit. Working with Gerber was thee worst experience I have been through. You hope that these types of businesses will help you and guide you when it comes to car repairs or car accidents. I received no help or communication from my adjuster or the shop when my car was receiving an estimate. No one would answer my phone calls, they tore my whole car apart, would not answer my emails, etc. Such a horrible and odd experience. I will never work with this company or location again. I love the text updates! Also, they finished my vehicle sooner than expected (and promised). It looked beautiful when I picked it up, couldn't even tell anything happened to it. Dustin is super nice and helpful, too. One really REALLY minor thing was they forgot to put pinstriping on, but I didn't even notice that at first. I sent an email over the weekend and received a call from Dustin first thing (Monday). He apologized and said to stop by any time that's convenient for me, because it's only a 10-minute job. The absolute worse body shop ever! Had my vehicle for over two months and didn't know how to fix it . Basically they sent my car to Audi to fix it because they couldn't figure it out so it took two months because Audi of course handles their cars first . This Gerber location made my vehicle repair process quick and easy. They are affiliated with USAA and almost everything was taken care of for me, either through Gerber or USAA. The original consultation with Amy was clear and concise, as well as the drop off procedure. The overall service and quality of work appears to be great. My car looks as good as new and I am happy with the outcome. The guys at the front desk were very friendly and took their time to explain the paperwork to me. My only complaint is that I was never kept up to date with the service on my vehicle. I was told that they would give me a call as soon as the bumper was taken off to quote me an exact pick up day. This never occurred. I was also told that either way, they always make phone calls to customers on Tuesdays and Thursdays to give them an update. Never received a call on Thursday. The following Tuesday (almost 6 days after drop off), I finally decided to call to check on the status. I was surprised to hear that my car would be ready by closing time that same day. Unfortunately, I was unable to plan for this since it was last minute and could not pick up my car until the next day. A little more communication would have made this a 5 star experience. read more

I am so thankful that our insurance provider USAA recommended Gerber Collision. After being rear-ended with my little ones, my car was at the brink of being totaled because of the angle at which the other car hit me and the force of impact. I came in to the Gambrills location for an estimate for a dented door. When asked by the receptionist if I was using insurance or paying out of pocket, I told her out of pocket. She told me they only give estimates for insurance claims. I never heard such a ridiculous policy before. read more

I took my car Acura MDX in March after a fender bender, I had explained to the guys if I can have my car ready the same day by 5:00 pm. These guys were great!!! They took care of everything and explained the process and promise to try and have the car done by the end of the day if not the following day. I received frequent emails/text from them with a status update, on the progress of the car. The mechanics were top notch, even worked out a good deal for my husband, they suggested doing the opposite of what we thought we should do and that cut the cost down so we come out paying a lot cheaper than other mechanics around the area. They did not overcharge!!!!! The front office staff was friendly polite. One of the managers, Matt, was extremely helpful and patient with me. Lamont was the man!!!! Was in a car accident back in February and had my car towed from DC to Gerber in Crofton as its near my house and a USAA shop. Car took a few weeks to get repaired and when complete I wasn't overly happy with the results. USAA had required Gerber to use aftermarket panels and the fit on those panels left much to be desired. Eric Gwen, the manager of this shop personally made sure that what was wrong was fixed and bad panels were replaced with OEM panels. Eric was totally transparent the whole time earned my trust and I have zero regrets using this shop. read more

I came to this place to get an estimate on a windshield replacement. I walked in to the front counter. The woman behind the counter didn't look to enthusiast to be work that day. We stared at each other for a while until she asked was I dropping off a vehicle I said no ma'am. I said I was dropping in to get a estimate. Before I could get it out on what the estimate was for she quickly says I need to make an appointment. Custom Service was very rude and disrespectful. I stopped in on the off chance they could take a look at a missing screw on my front bumper. I waited a few moments for a technician and Eric came out to personally look at the damage. He got another team member to quickly screw in a bolt which solved the problem. It was fast, easy and they refused payment or tip for the service. Was definitely very decent of them. I used Gerber recently when I got hit on route 32. They were a certified center with USAA so I decided to go with them because it was easier. They didn't disappoint! I made my appointment for my estimate which was incredibly quick. Amy was extremely professional and explained the process to me. When it was time to do the work, they helped me set up my rental through Enterprise. When Enterprise didn't show up on time, they had my back, called the location and talked to the manager. Throughout the week or so that my car was being worked on, I got consistent updates and pick up was a breeze. The work looks great and I was very impressed with how easy they made of an inconvenient situation. I've even told my husband (who just got rear-ended) that he needs to bring his car to Gerber. Finding yourself in the position where you have to get auto body work done is a headache, but I highly recommend you go with Gerber to make it as easy/painless as possible. After someone hit my car in a parking lot, Gerber was able to get me in quickly for an estimate and they were very flexible and accommodating when it came to scheduling the repairs. There was existing damage on the vehicle, and they repaired that at the same time for an extremely reasonable price (since the necessary labor was covered in the other repair). I received email and phone updates from them everyday, every person I talked to throughout the whole process was PHENOMENAL (friendly AND professional...hard to find around here), and the end product was beautiful. In the age of dwindling customer service, Gerber has gone above and beyond to make it right. After a repair from a collision 2 years ago, some lingering issues arose. Amy not only remembered me and to work, but did everything possible to make it right for the second time. Not only did the cover the repair for the second time, but really did all they could to provide the best customer experience possible. They covered a rental for me while the work was done, and Amy herself offered to drive me to the rental shop when I needed a ride. I am very grateful for them sticking to the warranty on their work (the 2nd issue was underlying and was not due to a bad job the first time), but I am blown away by the quality of care that we received from the shop and specifically Amy! read more

My daughter has had her car " my car" worked on twice at this location due to unfortunate luck of having accidents. Both times they have done an outstanding job with the car and have left it looking like new, well at least the refurbished area. Customer service is outstanding, highly recommend this location. The unfortunate thing is that they keep working on the car due to my daughter's bad and careless driving lol. After posting this review, I received a call from the general manager of this Gerber location. He was apologetic and informed me that there had been a communication error during my most recent service, and I wasn't kept up to date on the status of my order, including the fact that the mirror had to be reordered because the original part they ordered was defective. Because there was no reminder in the computer, no one called me and I wasn't aware of what was going on. When I called in the check, which I did several times, the information wasn't in the computer system that the receptionist uses so she wasn't able to give me a proper update. While I understand that these things happen, and I appreciate that I was apologized to after the fact, but I am still annoyed, and won't be returning here. The manager who called me wasn't at this location when the original repair happened last September. My car was at Gerber for 13 days according to my records, though Gerber's records show 8 days so I'm not sure how to account for that. read more

Great Service, completed the Job faster than was estimated, super customer friendly. My car was side swiped after having it only 6 months, I was so worried about the quality of repair, but I ended up being extremely happy with their work. I even got a picture message, of the car, from the estimator just to assure me that work was ahead of schedule, when I called to check on the status of the work. I'm pretty sure the estimator's name was Jordan, but he actually made me feel as if he cared about the fact I was freaked out that my NEW CAR had been damaged. The fact that after I called him to just check on things, he took the time out of his day to snap a picture of my car being worked on and text it to me made me feel comfortable and not just another "customer" to Gerber. I've had bad experiences with other repair shops, and never heard of Gerber before, but now I'll get all my body work done by them. Not only did they handle talking with my insurance company and rental car company, but I was able to get picked up and transported to Enterprise from their location; AND after my car was repaired I was able to leave the rental with Gerber and not have to worry about how to get the rental car back to enterprise! read more

After my bad review on here, I was contacted by Amy, who took over after two other managers weren't able to fix my vehicle. Amy took care of EVERYTHING. I was more than impressed with the results after they made their final attempt, and I feel beyond satisfied with how everything turned out. Based on the last week with Gerber, I would easily give 5 stars and recommend completely to anyone. However, the first bout of headaches spoke for themselves. Completely unacceptable. Stay away. Was in an accident on 22 June. At my insurance company's recommendation, I took my Tahoe to True2Form in Crofton. At first, I was very satisfied, the staff were responsive, easy to work with and willing to answer any questions that I had. The shop looked great, everything seemed to be in order, so I had them place my parts on order, and planned on dropping my truck off once the parts came in. I was quoted 16 calendar days for the repair, the shop said that it was basically a 2 week job, adding in both weekends on either end and accounting for the 4th of July holiday right in the middle. After dropping the truck off and checking for progress, things seemed to be off to a slow start. After a week, nothing really seemed to have been accomplished. Expressing my concerns, the shop said that they had gotten "really slammed" with cars and had too much work. Nothing could happen on my truck until it got on the frame machine, but I was "next in line" and things would get moving. A week after that (now at the end of the originally quoted 2 weeks) I get a phone call. It wasn't the "Your vehicle is ready" that I was expecting, but a "We'd like to take your truck over to our Gaithersburg location where work can commence right away". I give my assent, and a few days later stop by the Gaithersburg shop to check things out, see the people and generally get a feel for where things stood. The production manager said all the right things, apologized for Crofton's misdeeds and assured me that now that the Tahoe was in his capable hands, everything was going to be OK. Unfortunately, he told me since Crofton did so little to my truck, he would need the whole 2 weeks to get the job done. Grudgingly, I agree and they get to work. Slowly 2 weeks turns into 3 (which is really 5 weeks, counting the 2 in Crofton), and I'm promised that my vehicle will be ready on Friday. When I speak to someone on the phone Friday afternoon, the news is bad. Very bad. No truck is going to be ready, but I am assured that they will have people working through the weekend and I'll be back on the road on Monday. At the end of my wits, I decide to take off work on Monday (this is now the 10th of August, into week 6 of our journey) and show up at the shop to see what the "real deal" is. I am appaled. My vehicle, the one that is supposed to have been ready on Friday and then worked through the weekend to be ready on Monday, is a complete mess. No doors installed. No fresh paint. The front end is dismantled, the windshield is missing and everything is sitting outside, covered in dirt and shop dust (inside and out). I am well and truly amazed that I didn't lose it right there, as livid as I was. I'm told "Wednesday or Thursday". I return home, and contact True2Form's corporate HQ to express my displeasure. I'm almost immediately contacted by all levels of management (including the CEO, whom I spoke with on the phone twice), promising me that they were going to make things right, and that their biggest concern was not rushing the job and turning out a quality product. I'm upset, but my rage is tempered by the fact that I'm virtually certain that I'm going to get back a Tahoe that looks as good as new. Sadly, I was wrong. I finally was able to get back the Tahoe that Saturday morning. Within 24 hours, I had worked up a laundry list of 18 different items that needed attention. Scratches down to bare metal inside the door frames. Unbelievable wind noise. Bolts not even finger tight. The following Monday, I meet again with folks from the insurance company and True2Form. They agree to make the necessary repairs, which take another week. Upon return, things still aren't right. There's still enough wind noise that I have to argue with my 4 year old that "No, Mommy's window isn't open, that's just the door making noise". A month after finally getting things back, the door still isn't closing right, and you can see where the welds holding the door hinge to the frame are starting to crack and rust. I am in the process of working with the insurance company to get another shop to fix the defects in True2Form's workmanship. I have absolutely no faith or confidence in their ability to complete the repair successfully. As if all of this wasn't enough, at the outset when it looked like things were going to be delayed, True2From offered to pick up my rental car when my insurance coverage ran out after a month. However, when it came time to pay the piper, it took days of phone calls back and forth between True2Form and the rental car company to get someone from True2Form to tell Enterprise that they would be paying and provide them with billing info. Fortunately the folks at Enterprise (Crofton) were awesome to work with and very understanding of my "I can't tell you when I'm going to return the car, and I'm also not planning on paying for it". So last time I had to get my car repaired by these guys here is what happened: 1) My CD player does not play, it was fine when it was brought in when I got it back it refused to work. They told me they could fix it if I PAID them $600. 2) They did properly in stall my front head lights correctly so they ended up fogging up on the inside 3) they left there tools inside my car, a few wrenches and etc. read more

Will not back up their claim to a lifetime warranty regarding a paint concern on rear bumper. When I brought the vehicle back (new collision damage front end unrelated to paint concern) I was told if I am upset maybe I should go somewhere else to have the new collision work repaired. I did and will gladly pay out of pocket to have another shop redo what they should have done under their LIFETIME WARRANTY. PS They were an insurance company recommended shop. read more

If you like being put on hold, shuffled around to different people on the phone and getting the run around and long delays at every turn, this may be the company for you. This company had my car for over 45 days in repair. Gerber admitted that the delay was on them. They did agree to pick up some of the rental car cost after my own insurance on a rental car capped out at $1500. So they told me to call the Crofton Enterprise rental company and they would have me all set up. I did that, picked up the rental vehicle and used it for the extended period while my vehicle was still in repair going on like 6-7 weeks. Finally, after the pickup date of my repaired vehicle was pushed back another 4-5v days at the last minute, Gerber told me I could leave the Enterprise rental with them and pick up my repaired vehicle. I did that, then noticed a few days later that my card was charged several hundred dollars for the rental! I spoke to Gerber and they said it was Enterprises fault but they would see to it that I get a check for reimbursement. That was 3 weeks ago. So this has been the routine: Call, get put on hold, then someone else picks up the phone and says that my problem has been addressed ,that paperwork has to be pushed through corporate and i will be issued a check that i can pick up the next day or two. I go through this routine 2-3 times a week for the last 3 weeks. I will say the repairs look like they were done properly and the paint looks good. The customer service was a nightmare. I will never use again and would strongly suggest against doing business with Gerber of Gambrills. read more

I typically go to a collision center at a dealer and am often disappointed in the amount of time the repair takes and the quality of the repair as well.  I'm SOOO glad I took the time to research the other recommended repair providers and give Gerber a chance after seeing the awesome reviews.  Though I was a little disappointed initially when the earliest day available to start was a week out, they explained that they obtain parts, etc during that time, which ended up saving me a lot of money on rental costs.  From the moment I came in for the initial estimate to the time I brought my vehicle in for the actual repair to the time it was ready for pickup, the service was impeccable and personal.  Tina was even understanding when I was running late for pickup and allowed me to still come in after they were officially closed.  The bumper replacement only took 2 days, the text notifications on the status of my vehicle were the most awesome thing ever. read more

I would never go here especially if your insurance company tells you too. Took my daughters car there with front end damage and was told the car was safe to drive. A couple days later the hood flew open while she was driving and almost got into another accident. They then wrote the estimate a little higher than the value of the car totalling the car. This place also did it to my grandmother's car saying it was totalled so I bought it back and fixed it myself for 400 bucks. Not only did the general manager, Amy, provide me with an accurate quote (which, by the way, was way cheaper than 2 other shops in the area for the exact same work!!) - she was amazingly helpful throughout the repair process and got it back to me earlier than promised. Someone from the Gerber team called me twice a week to update me on the repair process and the work was completed efficiently, timely and flawlessly!
