A few years ago I took my black BMW e36 M3/4/5 to DentKraft to fix some hail damage I had on the…read moreroof and fenders. I let Juergen know I'd be paying out of pocket; since it's a 20 yo car in hopes to keep my cost down I told him I wasn't expecting showroom quality. He inspected the car and said he would do the best he could. Knowing I wasn't going through my insurance company upon his suggestion I was able to save $100's more by bringing in my car with the headliner and sunroof assembly already removed for him. When I picked it up a couple days later I don't know how he did it, but it was immaculate! I was amazed he removed every single dent from the hail, plus some from parking lots- even on body creases he was able to pull the dents! And all at a very fair and affordable price. I'm not one to write reviews, but as I was looking up his number to make a new appointment on a different car I felt Juergen needed to be recognized.

I had initially considered just taking it to a body shop but happened to find while googling for alternatives to filler and paint fixes. You can find his story online, but the short of it is that he's a guy that's been doing this for many years. Some of the tools he uses were created by him, he mastered his trade at an actual BMW factory many years ago where used to work. (he mentions some of this in his Yelp profile too) He removed a vertical crease in my door that was caused by someone hitting my closed door with the edge of the open door while it was parked somewhere. You can't tell it was ever dented and it didn't require any new paint or anything. It's just amazing. I think it took less than an hour to remove that and another more rounded dent near the back quarter panel. So if you have some small dings on your car. Definitely give him a call while he's still willing to perform his magic! I believe he has actually trained someone else to do this as well, and that person now has their own business in a different suburb. Which I think is great; because these types of unique skills are easily lost with the person that perfected them when they retire.

My 2005 Honda Civic LX Special Edition, which I bought new, may be 21 years old, but I've taken…read moregood care of it. It is mechanically sound, it has only 26,800 miles on the odometer and its factory fire-engine-red paint looks to be unfaded. At age 90, I'm sure it will outlast me I had my first accident earlier this winter, and it was nasty. A chunk of ice left by a snowplow got trapped under my front bumper cover and split it six ways from Sunday. Attached pix show the BEFORE and AFTER left-side split--the right-side damage was twice as bad (sorry, the BEFORE pic won't upload). Two indie body shops would replace the bump cover and paint it for $1,000. As I drove to Oscar Auto Body for a third estimate, I pretty much figured it would come in with a $1K replacement, too. Owner Ramin Hakimi did, but then he suggested another way. He would weld the splits from the underside of the cover and brush-touch the paint. "You'll be able to see the tiny seam where the splits meet," he said,' but the casual observer won't notice any difference." Cost? $370. This plan's potential savings led me to show Ramin some surface damage to my rear bump cover, incurred some time ago when I backed into a brick wall too low to see. He'd take care of this cosmetic damage for $89 (Collision Bonilla wanted $700!). Attached pix shows AFTER. I chose to have both front and rear ends done, and I couldn't be happier with the work done, including the paint match. My choice made Ramin happy, too, because as an environmentalist he hates having to trash big pieces of fiberglass (his shop was one of the first in the city to transition to water-based or low-volatile organic compound (low-VOC) paint). I went to a family gathering last Sunday. I pulled into the driveway behind my brother, a perfectionist mechanical engineer. Walking over to my Civic, he said, "I see you decided to pop for a new bumper cover." Nuff said. Finally, I want to say that I wholeheartedly agree with the many online reviewers who found Ramin extraordinary. He is forthright and will give you his undivided personal attention as well as a more-than-fair price. He did not patronize me as so often happens with women drivers or discount my input because of my advanced age. We all want an honest estimator, and Ramin Hakimi is IT. Re photos, unfortunately I don't have Before pix of right front damage, which had worse bump cover splits than left front. No Before pix of rear either.

I had a really bad scratch on my door and they repainted it so it looks brand new. The color match is perfect and you can't tell there was ever a problem. I called my insurance company and was referred to Auto Glass professionals. Jason my technician was pleasant, on time, highly skilled and had a great work ethic and a great personality. He is definitely a people person and is perfect for this job. He replaced my windshield and explained to me to not drive my car for at least 45 mins. And the warranty and about car washes.
