I would not have chosen this body shop had I known what I know now. My car was in the shop for 3 weeks instead of the 1 week they told me it would take. The repair has since come undone in an area. I took it in 2 1/2 weeks ago for them to look at, and was told they would contact my insurance so that I could bring it back in for the repair. Since no one contacted me, I called today, and nothing had been done. Service at this Gerber's is not good. read more

I came expecting a car repair but I received so much more. They went above and beyond what was expected. Fist of all, they were honest and kept open communication. Kent worked on my car and he wanted only the best for my car and wouldn't accept anything less. Apparently when parts came in initially, they weren't good enough so he sent them back and ordered OEM. Only the best. Once good parts finally arrived, my car was completed the same day. The same exact day. As if that wasn't enough, they cleaned and detailed my car. Let me repeat that, they detailed my car. I never imagined I would get that service. I keep my car clean but they did it much better than I ever could. Wow! I am impressed with the customer service. I am impressed with the skill. I am impressed. You bet that I'll tell anyone who needs service about Gerber glass. read more

I took my car to a Gerber collision on Charlotte Ave in Nashville, TN at the recommendation of my insurance company. The people who work there were very polite when you talk to them except the phone does disconnect if they do not answer the first ring. My car was rear ended. It took 3 and one half months to get my car repaired including the date when I could turn it in and the little over six weeks it was at the shop. To my knowledge there was no problem getting any parts to repair the car. The work seems to be well done, and the car looks very nice from what I can see. I have heard good things about Gerber; however, I believe this shop suffers from not enough workers and/ or customer service. I would suggest unless you want to have lengthy rental cars, please look at the reviews for the other Gerber shops and choose one of those. read more

Update/Edit: I originally rated this 1 star but the customer success manager Mark reached out to my very quickly and was really kind and apologetic about my experience and helped me get into my car that day. He let me know that they are very short staffed and took on too many cars, and that's why customer service was so lacking, and why my car took way longer than planned. I would ask them how booked they are before handing over your vehicle, but they are very kind and well intentioned and the work on my car looks great. The pricing came out exactly as quoted as well, no mystery fees or upcharges. Beginning of original review: I am not one to review companies but it feels really important to share what happened here: story time. I got in a very minor fender bender, and was quoted a 2 day repair time by Gerber. I dropped my car off for service and heard nothing for a week. I called them to follow up, and was told it wasn't ready and would be another 3 days. I then called those 3 days later, and was told that my car somehow got scratched since it had been in the shop. They were really polite and apologetic about this happening, and said they would fix it up at no cost to me, but of course, my car was no longer ready to be picked up that day. They said they would push it through incredibly fast since it was there fault that it needed more work, and I was quoted another 4 days. On that 4th day, after once again receiving no communication from them, I reached out to see if my car was ready. They then told me that they realized after our last phone call, that they didn't scratch my car after all, and it was a pre existing scratch that I already had. Then he told me, that no my car was not done, and wasn't going to be done for at least 3 more days. So very clearly, after they realized that the scratch wasn't their fault, they took it out of priority to get it done and put it back in the line, which sucks a lot since I didn't ask for them to fix this scratch, and the time this took was getting so absurd. When on the following supposed day I was supposed to get my car back and I (big surprise here) didn't get my car back, I let them know that I was getting really upset by this situation. Only then did I receive any customer service, any amount of communication, and any quicker action taken to return my car to me. I was quoted 2 days, and here I am 3 weeks later without my car. I am supposed to get it back today but I'm genuinely unsure if I'll ever see my car again at this point lol. I do not recommend using this company. read more

Run do not have your car repaired here. BTW I DON'T POST REVIEWS! 2 years ago I got a new car much bigger than my one, and was trying to park in a very small spot in a garage with those big pillars. I scratched the rear door and panel. They charged me $2600. It took 3 tried before they got the color correct and it still wasn't that good.  2 years later I was in a dark garage I was parking and I scratched the bumper on a small black Pole it had several scratches on it. It was not cracked it was not dented. They charged $2200.   They said they had the colored saved in the computer and they would be able to do it no problem. Wrong wrong!! After 2 tries it's still not correct and they're saying too bad we're not doing it again.. It meets Industry standards. It sucks! read more

You may have to wait a little bit but is worth it. The best are always in demand. Lisa, at the front desk, is a wonder and I can not say enough nice things. I had never dealt with a car rental and she took care of all of that. She was always nice when I called to ask about the status of the repair. They even vacuumed all the straw in the back of my vehicle. It took a while but that was because of waiting for parts than getting it painted. Whaley's reopened a closed/unfiled insurance claim so that they could file for charges more than twice their estimate of repair without contacting me. To quote the owner, "We would never contact you about more charges if we're working with the insurance company". To quote the shop manager, "Of course we up the charges sometimes when we're working with insurance." I was not filing a claim under my insurance, yet the shop decided to take advantage of the system and held my vehicle hostage until I paid one way or the other their trumped up fees. I don't blame the employees, I blame the owner. Do not work with them at all. (Important to note; I have worked with them a few times over 20 years and never been disappointed until now; and speaking with the owner has ended my relationship with them for good.) read more

Here's the formula that explains how Whaley Body Shop has been in business for decades: fair prices + excellent body work + great customer service When a concrete pillar jumped out and sideswiped our car in a parking garage, we knew the car needed emergency surgery. We got estimates from Whaley's and two other shops. Whaley's was the middle estimate and I felt comfortable with the work of the estimator (Richie). The guy who gave the cheaper estimate said people would always be able to tell the car was in an accident, but Richie said that Whaley aims for good-as-new (or better-than-new, I can't remember which) quality. Sure enough, when I picked up the car, I was AMAZED. Even scrutinizing the spot where the car was damaged, I couldn't see any evidence that it had ever been scraped up. I feel like Whaley did a stellar job with the bodywork and the paint blending. That might be enough for 4 or 5 stars on its own, but Whaley went above and beyond with customer service. They completed the job on budget and in less time than they estimated. They were great about calling beforehand to confirm the drop-off date and giving us a call as soon as the car was ready for pick-up. But wait, there's more. Whaley's also detailed the car inside and out. I think our car was the cleanest its been since we drove it off the dealer lot. As Richie said, Whaley likes to take what could be a negative experience (an accident or some kind of auto damage) and try to do something positive for their customers. One last surprise awaited inside the car. Inside the cup holder was a handwritten note from owner Linda Whaley, thanking us for choosing Whaley to repair our car, along with a few small assorted gifts (pen, drink koozie and pack of fruit snacks). I had fairly high expectations choosing Whaley based on Yelp reviews and their decades of business experience, but Whaley still managed to surpass all my expectations. I hope I don't need to ever use their services again, but I wouldn't hesitate to return if the necessary and I'd definitely recommend Whaley to any friends or fellow Yelpers who need auto bodywork. read more

Great workmanship, true professionals! I had taken our car to another body shop because a friend of mine worked there. They did a horrible job on the repair. Whaley was kind enough to go behind them and repair our car right...the first time. Blake was very kind and understanding, worked with us and kept us informed of the progress. I could not be any happier with the repair work they performed. I will recommend this body shop to all my friends and family!! UPDATE A headlight they installed started to fog up, had to go back by and let them inspected it...yeah water had gotten in...They ordered the part, 4 weeks later I call and yeah...they have had the part for about 3 weeks but just didn't call us to tell us. I guess we are suppose to call them every day to see if the part came in. Great work but lousy communication. read more

Whaley's really values the customer, and I feel very appreciated through their work and care. They reattached something which could've been replaced by an expensive part and labor for free, and waved to the cost of a part where there was a discrepancy between that and the check that I got from insurance company. To top it off, I got a nice note, fridge magnet, and cup warmer. read more

I would give them 10 stars if possible. I have never been disappointed and they are all so nice. I trust them with any car and have used them for 20 years. There isn't a car that they can't make look perfect. I've had friends tell me that they were overcharged for body work done on their cars and that other places didn't do a great job. I can see why folks would get upset at the price points here. That being said, know that I usually do my own work on my car, as long as I dont have to paint it. However! After a ridiculous freak accident where I ran over a push-dolly (which came off of a tow truck at that ungodly over-filled pothole was before 46th St exit on I-40--- that's why they fixed that stretch by the way) which put a softball size dent in my right front bumber... And after fighting with a bad insurance company who claimed to not hear anything from Whaley's (although the rep there did seem a little skatter-brained), THE POINT IS they returned my vehicle to me in better than its prior condition. The paint fade is seemless (and for those of you who complain about prices for paint, just know these guys are risking their lungs to paint your vehicles) and the repair work was flawless. Customer service is good but it is definitely worth talking to your service rep directly. Thank you Whaley's, for taking the insurance to the bank and making those turds pay for what they had done! They are a great bodyshop...for insurance repairs... They only repair cars after they reference their book which tells them how much the standard cost is for a repair. I brought them a piece no better than 1ft by 8inches....$400 to paint and prep according to their price book... No more than a $50 job if that So, they will get the job done right as long as you are willing to pay inflated insurance prices but they will not do custom or off work equitably. Go someplace else for that. read more

I got in a minor fender-bender and took our car in. I opted to do basically a clean-up of the damage (instead of replacing our bumper). Whaley's charged me only for an hour of labor ($45 with tax), and, on top of that, vacuumed and cleaned the interior of our car! My car came back looking brand new, they knew (I didn't) that they couldn't bake it (to cure the paint) because it's an electric car, and they washed and cleaned it. Enterprise was slammed and it was taking them awhile to come get me. So an employee at Whaley's took me there themselves so I could get to work on time! This is not the first time I've taken my car into Whaleys, and all previous times I had been left very content. This time, however, was different. I had various cosmetic damages done to my car and I decided that I was in a spot where I could afford to fix them. I got the estimate and started saving up... About two months later, I was finally ready to take my car in. I dropped the car off and didn't think much of it for the first week of what was supposed to be a two week fix. After the first week, Whaleys called me to tell me that in the quote they had forgotten to include the hood of the car and that now since the bumper had already been replaced that there was no way I could go without the new hood. I thought about it for a couple days and decided that I was just going to have to pay the extra $2000 - after all, it didn't really look like I was getting much of a choice. Another 4 weeks passed before I got my car back. I would call, they would tell me they'd call me back and I'd have to call again a couple days later. Ever since I got my car back, it had been acting weird but I convinced myself that I had just spent that long without my car and wasn't used to the noises it made. I've had my car now for about a month and just found out that it's leaking oil, I haven't hit anything or done anything strenuous with my car, so after speaking with my mechanic I decided to call Whaleys and see if they would check to see if something had happened during the repairs. When I spoke to Sharen at Whaleys she told me to give her a second to talk to Tommy and that she would get back to me, when she called me later she told me that the car had been leaking oil when it came into the shop. I was devastated... At this point, I don't know what to believe. It's hard for me to imagine that a shop would do a fix on a car of $5400, $2400 of which was added later due to their own error, without telling the customer that there was an oil leak. When I spoke to Tommy on the phone, he mentioned that normally when it was small that they didn't say anything. Then I asked him if they had put oil in my car so I could at least drive it off the lot, he said he didn't know if they did but that when it was a big oil leak that sometimes they did but that they still didn't tell the customer. I just got off the phone with Whaleys, Tommy was repeating that I needed to go to my mechanic and go from there while I was reduced to tears over the fact that after having my car with them for almost two months and $5400 that they would not tell me my car was in a condition that was dangerous to myself, that's apart from the fact that they milked me for all that money and now my car is useless. I will not be recommending Whaleys any longer. read more

I went in today to just get an estimate on my side view mirror, which has been hanging on by zip ties for far too long. I filled out a little form, then a guy came out with me to check it out. He got a nice guy named Greg for a second opinion, and then fixed it right there in the parking lot! Both super nice and it was awesome that they did it for me right there. You probably couldn't get a new bumper in the parking lot, but I'm sure they're fast for big fixes too :) read more

After taking my Toyota Prius to the dealership to ask about repairing the cracked rear trunk latch and receiving what I thought was an exorbitant quote (just for the part) I went to Whaley's for a 'second opinion' and received a quote for both the part and the labor which was less than cost of the part quoted by the dealership. Needless to say, having had a prior great experience with Whaleys many years ago when my Subaru needed some bodywork, I opted for Whaley's and was so glad I did!
