I had damage from my car being parked on the street and getting side-swiped. I was panicked and called them. They were able to fit me in the next day. The whole process from sign in to reviewing damage with inspection employee and deciding what and how to fix it took about 20 minutes. Within the week my car was ready for pickup. The front office staff was so competent and pleasant and the pricing was fair. 10/10 recommend for any body work needed in the New Orleans area. read more

This place is a NIGHTMARE!! I was in an accident (not my fault). Geico sent me here to get my repairs. They had my car for 3 weeks and as soon as I got it back it was not fixed correctly. Bumper was not put on properly, hood was raised on one side, multiple clips missing or left loose. I had damage to my windshield wiper fluid reservoir, they told me they fixed it. I got home and realized it still had a huge crack in it. It's like they just say they fixed stuff but literally did nothing to it since the last visit! I brought it back a second time and things are still not fixed. I have to bring it back again for the final repairs. DO NOT GO HERE!! It also took over a week to get a call back. read more

Do NOT bring your vehicle here! They are terrible! I'll be bringing my car back for the 4th time since Jan 2nd and my bumper is still hanging. (not clipped) They tried to glue it! I know this because I brought it to another shop to get it fixed AFTER they told me it was supposed to be like that and that all vehicles bumpers come unclipped. Come to find out, they modified a piece on my car to force the same broken bumper back on. My car is a 2025! I requested NEW parts. They should have replaced my bumper but repaired it instead. Well, tried to repair it anyway. The first pickup both sides were unclipped. They said they needed to order the clips. The second pickup the driver side still unclipped. They said they would replace the head light to fix the issue. (I believe this is when they glued it) I picked it up and it looked fine. The next morning both sides were hanging again. 3rd time I went to another shop. They did the work all over again but actually did the work and replaced the bumper. However, due to Gerber modifying my brand new vehicle to make their crap work try and work now my vehicle needs to be brought back for the fourth time. This has been a nightmare, time consuming, expensive and unprofessional. read more

This was a terrible experience! I was in an accident. Though they did a great job on the body work on my car, the mechanic put a tire on my car that had a leak somewhere! I had to come back multiple times just to try and have them fix it. The first time I came back, the gentleman claimed, "they could not find anything wrong with the tire." Well, I had to fill it to make it to Gerber on Edwards! So, I had to wait for my tire to flatten some again, and drive back to the facility on a semi-deflated tire. Also, when doing the body work on my car, they had changed that said tire without my knowledge of extra fees, since this was covered by my insurance (I was in a hit and run accident). The mechanic also stained my passenger seat. They won't take responsibility for my seat being stained and I am still fighting them to put a new, UNDAMAGED tire on my car. read more

I had gone to Gerber a few months ago to have my car re-painted. The Geico AutoRepair Xpress experience was very simple and hassel free. My car was finished much more quickly than anticipated and the paint still looks great! The only complaint I had was that my car was left with red dust throughout the interior of my car (seats, belt buckles, cup holders). After I had posted my review, the folks at Gerber reached out and offered to have my car detailed. I took them up on their offer and the car detail company (Special K?) tried to reach out to me to schedule an appointment. Given my busy schedule, it was difficult to connect. They left several voicemails and almost 6 weeks later, we were finally able to get it scheduled. Again, the process was very quick and easy. They came to my home and detailed my car while it was parked in its usual spot. It took about 1.5 hours and my car is now spotless and the red dust is no longer visible anywhere in the interior of my car. I was very surprised with Gerber's commitment to customer satisfaction. After several weeks, it would have been easy for the car detailer to stop trying to connect with me, but Gerber asked them to keep trying. After this experience, I trust that Gerber stands by their work and values their customers. read more

This place is terrible. Ordered the wrong part and waited till the day I was supposed to get my car back to tell me. This is the fourth and final time they will put me out of my way. I recently had the misfortune of having to file a collision claim with GEICO Insurance. After contacting GEICO regarding this loss, the GEICO claim representative was very pleasant and understanding. She suggested that the claim be processed utilizing their Auto Claims Express Service. I thought that was a great option, meeting with the GEICO adjuster, meeting with the collision center and picking up a rental car at the same location. Since I have three boys "In Tow" at all times, that sounded like a great option. I was offered a few collision centers which participated in this program and selected Gerber Collision on Edwards Ave. When I arrived for the scheduled appointment I was greeted by the GEICO representative and Gerber's manager, Rick Landry. Both individuals were very pleasant and addressed my concerns. After inspecting the damages to my van, Rick reassured me that my vehicle would be restored to it's original condition before the accident. Rick and the GEICO representative assisted with transferring the car seats and my other belongings into the other transportation provided. The level of communication during the repair process was great. I was kept updated and never had to contact the shop to determine if the repairs were on schedule. My vehicle was completed on time as promised. The quality of the repairs was excellent! My van looked brand new! The van was thoroughly cleaned and even appeared to have been polished. Gerber Collision and GEICO definitely delivered an excellent level of service and repair quality that I really wasn't expecting. Gerber body shop was recommended to me from my automobile insurance carrier (Geico), and I highly regret the decision to get my work completed there. Considering I've never needed a body shop before, I did not have one on speed dial that I knew would do good work. The claims adjuster, Jeremy, has found it very difficult to tell me the truth about when and how the work on my truck will be completed. My truck was brought over there on 1/15/2016, to replace a passenger side door, fix the passenger side rocker panel and paint the passenger door. I spoke with Jeremy on 1/29/2016 and he guaranteed me that my truck would be done by 2/3/2016. I went over there on 2/4/2016 after not hearing from Jeremy, to come and find out my truck hadn't even been painted yet. Today is 2/8/2016 and it is still not complete. If this review can help at least one person from having to deal with Gerber and that liar Jeremy it was well worth writing. Hopefully my vehicle will be done soon and I'll never have to deal with Gerber again. read more

I had to take my car to Gerber Collision after someone rear-ended my car. From the moment I walked through the door to when I picked my car up, the entire staff was on point! They greeted me as I came in, the wait was only a minute or two to talk to the adjuster and I was in and out in about 25 minutes. Lisa Fulkerson, the adjuster, could not have been any more professional and accommodating. Jeremy Schanzbach was a true professional as well and funny. Crayshonda Byrd with Enterprise Rental was quick to process my information and got me into a car right away. I called the operations manager Doug Campbell on his cell phone(there was a letter from him along with the paperwork with the cell number) to compliment his staff and he himself was great to talk to, so friendly. I could sincerely hear the warmth in his voice. I'm just so pleased with the work(they even washed my car) and I had my car back in 2 days! If I could myself, I'd give them ALL bonuses; the adjusters, the repairmen, the receptionists, to the young men that washed my car, everybody!
