    If I could give the front office staff a ZERO a star rating, I certainly would! 1 is the lowest rating so I obviously had to choose that. These girls should not be in customer service!!! Our vehicle was involved in a hit and run on 1/4/2023. I submitted a claim with State Farm and was notified that Gerber was a preferred company for us and we decided to use this company for repairs. My husband received a phone call on 1/4/2023 from 877-256-1116 at 4:58pm PST to schedule our appointment to have our car looked at and we were offered 2 times on 1/5/2023 to bring our vehicle in; 12pm or 1pm and we chose 12pm. My husband took time off work today to drive me home after leaving our car and when we arrived at Gerber Collision Services in Richland we were informed that "we don't have an appointment for you and we don't schedule 12 o'clock appointments". I explained that we got a call yesterday evening to schedule the appointment for today and I was asked "who called you?", I said that it was someone with a heavy accent. I was then given paperwork to fill out and told to take a seat. Another woman came into the office and she and the gal we were speaking with first started having a conversation in Spanish. The second gal came around the counter and in a snarky voice said "I didn't call you!!!". My husband replied that "we didn't say YOU called us but, someone called last night from the 877 # (listed above which is ACTUALLY the Gerber Collision and Glass phone number from Buffalo Grove, IL) and made the appointment for today at 12 for the car". This gal was very rude and argumentative with us and explained that they do have a call center that schedules the appointments, and they are actually booking out 3-4 weeks for appointments reminding us AGAIN that she didn't call us to schedule the appointment. Because she was super argumentative, I finally told her twice that we could take our car elsewhere if it was an issue, and she replied with "you can go ahead and do that!". We were made to feel as though we were in the wrong for showing up for an appointment that Gerber made, whether the call center or the office made the appointment, the customer shouldn't have to defend themselves!!! People who are representing a company should NEVER be argumentative with a customer!!! We will NEVER return and will not recommend this company to anyone we know! #1 We were not greeted or welcomed upon arrival into the office #2 We had to "plead" our case why we were even in the office #3 We were treated very RUDELY by both front office staff! #4 Staff very confrontational, unacceptable customer service!!

I chose not to take a total loss because my car was still drivable, so I went to pick it up. When I arrived, the front desk lady told me my car was ready and would be brought out. A few moments later, a male worker came out and told me my bumpers and lights were already off and asked me what I wanted to do with them. I was confused and told him I was not aware my car had already been torn apart. He went back inside, then came back out and told me to return in about an hour so he could put the car back together. At that point, the front desk lady who originally told me my car was ready apologized and said, "Oh my God, I'm so sorry, I didn't realize everything was off. Come back in about an hour and we'll have your car ready." That was all that was said. There was absolutely no mention of any fee. Later that day, I received a call saying my car was ready, but now there was suddenly a $150 reassembly fee that had never been mentioned. When I raised concerns, the lady on the phone clearly had an attitude and seemed annoyed that I was questioning it. Instead of explaining or taking accountability, she immediately offered the option of tearing my car back down and having me arrange my own tow truck since the car "wouldn't be drivable," which made no sense because the car was already put back together. After hearing I was upset, she offered $20 off for the so-called "miscommunication." When I arrived to pick up the car, the front desk lady immediately apologized and admitted she "forgot to tell me there was a fee." How you forget to mention a $150 charge is beyond me. I was then told to bring this issue to my insurance. I contacted them, and the insurance representative confirmed this was the shop's fault and did his best to help. He also mentioned the shop claimed I was given the option to take the car as-is or have it put back together, which is simply not true. If I had known my car was already torn apart, I would never have agreed to take it back. A $150 surprise fee for a single mother right around the holidays is absolutely insane. The lack of communication and training should not fall on the customer. Customers shouldn't be paying for the shop's incompetence, and the receptionist shouldn't even be working if important fees are going to go over their head. I should've chose Mathew's Auto Body instead.

    My Mom's car was side swiped on the front bumper area and the panel had popped out! The estimate…read moreguy came out and was trying to get it back in but he couldn't so he had one of his repair man come out and with a little manipulation he popped it back into place and then they sprayed a compound on the area and got rid of all the smudges caused by the accident! It looked as good as new when they were done and they charged me $0.00! I couldn't believe it! They must've spent 20 minutes on it! Needless to say I was very grateful!
