Terrible customer service! This place shows absolutely ZERO urgency to do their job and get your car fixed! I took my car in for a very minor fender bender, honestly, I probably could have gone without taking it in to get fixed at all, which at this point, I wish I wouldn't have!! They have had my car for over 2 weeks now, they never call me to give an update, I always have to call and the estimated date of completion just keeps on getting pushed out farther and farther. If I could give the front office staff a ZERO a star rating, I certainly would! 1 is the lowest rating so I obviously had to choose that. These girls should not be in customer service!!! Our vehicle was involved in a hit and run on 1/4/2023. I submitted a claim with State Farm and was notified that Gerber was a preferred company for us and we decided to use this company for repairs. My husband received a phone call on 1/4/2023 from 877-256-1116 at 4:58pm PST to schedule our appointment to have our car looked at and we were offered 2 times on 1/5/2023 to bring our vehicle in; 12pm or 1pm and we chose 12pm. My husband took time off work today to drive me home after leaving our car and when we arrived at Gerber Collision Services in Richland we were informed that "we don't have an appointment for you and we don't schedule 12 o'clock appointments". I explained that we got a call yesterday evening to schedule the appointment for today and I was asked "who called you?", I said that it was someone with a heavy accent. I was then given paperwork to fill out and told to take a seat. Another woman came into the office and she and the gal we were speaking with first started having a conversation in Spanish. The second gal came around the counter and in a snarky voice said "I didn't call you!!!". My husband replied that "we didn't say YOU called us but, someone called last night from the 877 # (listed above which is ACTUALLY the Gerber Collision and Glass phone number from Buffalo Grove, IL) and made the appointment for today at 12 for the car". This gal was very rude and argumentative with us and explained that they do have a call center that schedules the appointments, and they are actually booking out 3-4 weeks for appointments reminding us AGAIN that she didn't call us to schedule the appointment. Because she was super argumentative, I finally told her twice that we could take our car elsewhere if it was an issue, and she replied with "you can go ahead and do that!". We were made to feel as though we were in the wrong for showing up for an appointment that Gerber made, whether the call center or the office made the appointment, the customer shouldn't have to defend themselves!!! People who are representing a company should NEVER be argumentative with a customer!!! We will NEVER return and will not recommend this company to anyone we know! #1 We were not greeted or welcomed upon arrival into the office #2 We had to "plead" our case why we were even in the office #3 We were treated very RUDELY by both front office staff! #4 Staff very confrontational, unacceptable customer service!! read more

my car was getting the passenger door repaired. it was going through another insurance as it was the other persons fault. I left my car on a Saturday and got a rental. I was told my car was ready on Friday. but it was still missing the emblem to the door that got broken. I told them I didn't want to pick it up until it was ready as I didn't want to go back just for an emblem and Lilly mentioned that the rental would not be cover as an emblem isnt a reason to keep the car and they were not reponsible for the car over the weekend as it is ready and that the rental would not be cover. to me a car being complete is I don't have to go back doesn't matter what it is. Other than that they did a good job on the door. I was not happy with the way they handled this. read more

The work they did on my car was good, but the communication about coordinating my rental car pick up was very frustrating. There was a a lot of miscommunication given to me. The most frustrating part to me was the refusal to wear masks by all of the office staff. read more

This place seems like they have been running a pretty successful operation for some time. To get some work done on my vehicle I had to set up an appointment waaay in advance. One thing I liked about it was that when they had my car in for an estimate, it was pretty apparent they were not going to cut any corners, and fix my ride up proper. On the down side, this means they seem to be a bit more spendy then what I'm used to. Since I was having work done on the frame though, I figured I may as well not take any chances with trying to bargain hunt. In the end, my car was fixed right, on time and came in a little under the estimate I was quoted. This was on a job requiring welding on the frame. Another estimate I got was for some future paint work, they said well over a grand to fix 2 scratches. OW! To be fair it is a tri-coat pearl paint but still, damn... Perhaps I shall go attempt to make a first-born so I can leave it as a down payment (besides, that's what you do in the Tri-Cities anyways, right, buy a house and make babies?) Oh ya, they also provided me with a ride over to Enterprise to pick up my rental. My car insurance had to pay for t he repair so I can'rt comment on that BUT for some reason they replaced my hubcpaps with really ugly ones,. It was a done deal when I picked up the car. My drivers window collapsed inside my door on my trip back from Seattle - had to drive all the way home (230 miles) with no window - and it's winter. UGH! It was miserable. Here it goes - - - - Communication: They answered the phone promptly; they were polite on the phone; provided a quote over the phone (based on my problem description); and was able to set up an appointment same day. Friendly staff :) - Facilities: Were conveniently located; modern and bright; clean and smelled of a regular office - not a auto repair facility; nice comfortable waiting area. - Pricing: While the quote I was provided was wrong - but that was based on once they pulled my door panel off they quickly assessed that the problem was not what I had anticipated. After providing a price for the replacement OEM part - I asked if they could call around to find one cheaper and they were willing and successful. Saved me $100 on the part. - Timely: They got the part on an overnight delivery. Had a convenient morning opening and fixed the regulator problem within 1 hour. Atomic Auto Body has been WONDERFUL. Before moving to this area, my car was rear-ended meaning that my "case" was probably a lot more complicated than normal due to the insurance confusion. That said, Barb & Blake handled everything flawlessly & were very kind. In particular, they worked with the insurance company to supplement the claim, to get me a rental car scheduled at nearby Enterprise, and proactively informed me along the way. It was magical how little I had to be involved. They even have an option to review pictures of the repairs online every night just in case you feel the need to check-in on your baby. In the end, my car was declared totaled which was probably the safe thing to do- since no one wants to drive a bum car. I gotta give them 5 stars based on how awesome they were to deal with- probably the most positive service experience I've had in a long time. read more

Very unhappy with our service from Gerber. I believe they used to be atomic and we used their services numerous times with no issues. This last time, they only finished half of what needed to be done even though we told them specifically and over many phone conversations what work needs done. This resulting in our car being in the shop an additional week. After picking up our vehicle and paying the out of pocket and receiving a paid in full receipt, we received a call almost a month later saying we owe an additional 300. read more

As a Senior Widow I needed to scope out a Volvo mechanic at that time Atomic Auto was on Sandy Blvd which was close to my home so called them and told my story to a lovely lady receptionist at that time. She was so honest in answering my many questions about AA that I felt i'd give them a try. Best choice ever had a specialist for Volvo and 4 years later AA and Mattie watches over the car and needs for service. I had a accident and didn't know where to have it repaired I thought they would have ideas and did they gave us a referral, check them out and my did they do a fine job with a rear panel and bumper...uninsured 17 yr. old. These guys did a great job with my 1997 F350 that was hit by a drunk driver. Thankfully he had good insurance and the cops were there to greet him. My truck was done within 4 days, with constant pictures and updates through their website. My paint scheme is a two tone black silver and they did it beautifully! Drove 2 and a half hours to Richland from Packwood to have an old door hinge cut off and a new hinge welded on and painted. They pre-ordered the hinge, had it painted to match and completed the job. Here's what I like though; they not only finished in a third of the time they stated, they detailed and polished and scented the entire nasty mountain work truck that I dropped off. Needless to say, the truck I dropped off and the truck I picked up were two different animals all together. And.........it was in the middle of the nasty snowy frozen winter of 2016/2017. Had a small dent, but the real problem was the custom paint job they had to match. Really difficult, and the insurance company couldn't understand why this little dent was going to cost soooo much to paint. Well, a 3 part paint, and had to paint both the repaired fender AND door to blend in. Prior to starting the work, Atomic's guys highlighted every single little ding and scratch--almost NONE of which I had even seen when I bought the car. Then they video'ed the whole thing for both our records. The repair was quick, the car detailed and delivered exactly on the day and time promised. Very specific instructions on washing and waxing. Call before you take your car in--they wont deal with some insurance companies who will only allow cheapest parts. read more

My friend and I were driving through on our way to Portland when my (new) car was hit by a driver who ran a red light. This was one of those experiences you wouldn't wish on anyone--traumatic and very stressful. Thankfully we were ok, but my car was not. I was told I needed to find an autobody repair shop as soon as possible so we could move forward in the insurance process, etc. I looked online and chose this place based on the good reviews, and because my insurance company (State Farm) had an agreement with them, too--(which meant all their work was guaranteed) which made everything that much easier and made me feel more comfortable, too. I just want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Gary and all the staff at Atomic; they were so warm, personable and FANTASTIC to work with. I felt like they looked out for my best interest as they gave me all the information I needed to know each step of the way. Unfortunately my car was totaled, so I never did get to get it repaired. But I do trust based on my experiences and interactions with them that it would have been high quality and wonderful. I would highly recommend them to anyone. If you want a company that sticks to deadlines these are not the people to see. Two weeks became three weeks, and they didn't even call to communicate this. My wife had to call to get the "Surprise we need your car for another 5 days" then it isnt done til the very last moment on the 5th day. Never going to deal with this company again. My wife and I set up an appointment to have some minor cosmetic work done to our car. The appointment was set for 4 weeks out, which I understand because of all the recent fender benders because of the weather. So, we brought our vehicle in on a Tuesday and we were told that our car would be done by Friday. Friday came and we never received a call. By late afternoon my wife called them and they did not answer. We got a call back on Monday that our car would not be done until that next Friday. The next Friday came and once again, no call. My wife called again and was told that the car was not completed. She asked if they would be willing to cover half of the rental cost that our insurance was not covering (about $75) and she was told no. It is now Tuesday and they have had our car for two weeks. The biggest issue that I have had with this, is that they have never given us the courtesy of a simple phone call. Very unprofessional. read more

So I I've been taking my truck into atomic auto in detail for the past eight years to have my truck detailed on a yearly basis. The last time they did it they did a half way job on the engine compartment also they scratched up my window tint. So I took it back to them and they finished up doing the engine compartment and fixed the window. And now they're telling me they don't want my business because they screwed my truck up and they're mad because they had to fix it. I talked to the owner and all he wanted to tell me was how great his business was and his employees were and I asked him why he was running his business that way and he seemed to care more about himself and his employees than his customers.never heard of a business that said they fire there customers.Wouldn't recommend going there to anybody. It really ticks me off because I spent well over a grand there in the time that I've taken my truck there. Very arrogant and proud adittude from the owner.
