When the guy went to look at my tires he came back and informed me that it was just one number under where it needed to be to be repaired. This was pretty devastating as the funds just are not here right now with Xmas. The gentleman went bone and beyond and really brought back hope in local businesses and hope that people still do care about others. The discount tire (americas tire) in Cathedral city California put my hubcaps on wrong so I couldn't access the air valves. Total carelessness. They sold me tires that were over 5 years old as "New"...they aged cracked after three years were at a point they weren't driveable legally and they wouldn't even rotate them. Check the Manf. date on any new tires you buy before they are mounted. I will never do business with these clowns again. read more

This discount tire is closer to where I live, but I will drive all the way to Pasco because this location service has gone downhill very fast!!! I sat there for almost 10 minutes waiting for somebody to come check my tire pressure because I had an alarm on my tire pressure this morning and I can see him looking at me and there's two people working and two people just sitting there talking and eating and doing nothing!!! We bought new tires and had them installed at Discount Tire. We informed them of our moving to Ohio over 2,000 miles away, then left 2 days later.on our cross country trip. Our back tire actually fell off passing thru Indiana. Both tow truck driver & service repair mechanic stated it was due to improper tightening of the lug nuts. Discount tire would not accept responsibility for it coming off. They said they only cover their installation work up to 1,000 miles away from the point of installation. I firmly believe that the tires were improperly torqued, either from mechanical failure in their torque wrench or careless workmanship in too much of a hurry to complete the job. Other tire stores request/require a test drive before installation completion to insure proper nut tightening has occurred. This didn't happen. There is no written literature from Discount Tire regarding this 1,000 mile no fault clause that I could find. This accident caused me a 3-day delay, motel & eating expenses, damage to the wheel & brake assembly, new wheel replacement and towing expenses. This doesn't even address the safety aspect of the potential damage to motorists, having watched my wheel cross the center median into the path of oncoming traffic and settling off the shoulder of the road beyond. read more

I recently bought a set of all terrain tires for my 3500 Ram truck from the Gage Blvd Discount Tire in Kennewick WA. After several attempts to get the tires balanced they decided one of the tires was out of round. They ordered a replacement tire but still the truck just didn't like the all terrain tires. I called Discount and talked to the store manager. Without hesitation he offered to replace the tires with a new set of brand name highway tread tires in spite of the fact I'd put weeks worth of miles on these tires. Within a few days the new tires were on and I'm a happy customer. That kind of cust service is rare to say the least. Good job Discount Tire! read more

Place is a joke. Took my tires into get rotated after putting 5k miles on them as recommended and as I always do. They were slammed and they called me after dropping it off and said they wouldn't rotate them because they didn't appear to need it. What? This is also the same place when I stopped in to get my tires topped off for a long trip, the attendant told me he didn't recommend the pressure I requested because the weight of the extra air would cause the tires to wear down faster... The weight of the extra air? Most Discount Tire locations are great but this isn't one of them. Oh, and I had a low pressure warning light on when I drove away from trying to get my tires rotated. RIP OFF. They take advantage of their customers! Don't go here!!!! I had a tire that had a bolt in it. I bought the tires there so I took it in to be repaired. After dropping off the tire, Dennis called and said it couldn't be fixed because "the plug was just sliding right through the hole. The bolt made too big of a hole and was unrepairable". Well so I had them order a new tire for $110.15. I also asked to keep the damaged tire. When I went to pick up the new and damaged tires, they said they couldn't find the damaged one at first. I had to ask to talk with a manager and then they finally found it. But I think they didn't want to give it to me because it STILL HAD THE BOLT IN THE TIRE. So how exactly was the plug just falling right through the hole?! They didn't even try. They just wanted to make me pay for a new tire. Rip off. I'm going to take the tire elsewhere and my guess is, I'll get it fixed right up. read more

This place is a joke. In the spring I ordered tires from them. When I went in to have them put on they guy that came out I told him I had an appointment for my new tires. After I sat down and waited for a few he called me back outside and said they can't rotate my tires. Then I had to explain to him again that I had an appointment for new tires that I order. After a month or two I had a leak in one of my tires so I made an appointment to get it fixed. They called me back out after an hour and said that when the started to rotate my tires they found leaks in 2 tires. Then after I explained why I was there again they said that they could only fix one of the tires and that I had to buy another one only after a few months. Then today I went in to get an actual tire rotation. I made an appointment a week in advance. When I got there to check in they told me they had no appointment for me and that it would be over a six he wait for the rotation. I don't think it is the company that's bad I think it's the people that work here. They just don't care and are very lazy and incompetent. Don't go to this discount tire. There horrible. read more

I appreciate consistency and it's nice to see a staff that is timely, friendly, honest, efficient and works well together. My husband and I have been here a few times for a variety of services over the years from ordering tires, tire replacement and repair. The facility is big, bright and clean. There's a large window with stools alongside if you'd like to sit and observe from the waiting area as well. They've always provided good work and service. This latest time the Tire Pressure Monitor came on in our vehicle and when we went to check the tire pressure we discovered a small piece of metal in one of our tires. We drove to Discount Tire and in a timely manner they took in our car, inspected our tire and repaired it. When I checked in to have my tired balanced and rotated with an appointment. The front desk guy went out to check the tire tread depth. I watched him from the front of the store. He walked down the drivers side and checked the tread of both tires, he then sat inside for a minute to check the mileage. He then walked back into the store. When I asked him what the tread depth on the passenger side was, he told me "7/32". He lied right to my face, he never even went to the passenger side of the vehicle. This better be done on time since I made an appointment. It's 40 minutes past my appointment time, why give/have appointments. I am now going to miss my next appointment. This place has gone down hill the last couple of years. Looks like I need to find a new tire place. read more

I've paid for many warranties that were just about useless when you needed them. Today, I was driving home from a long family vacation heading back to Arizona. I had a flat on the road and hobbled into town. I was expecting Discount to give me warranty run around and to have to pay for a new tire. Where to start this review? I needed new front tires on my car so I decided to go with Discount tires because they do have good prices on tires. Got to the store and I will be honest they guys are fast at what they do and that's great but I did have to make sure they moved my rear tires to the front and put the new tires on the back because my car is front wheel drive. Once they where done I have some sales guy trying to tell me that the tires they moved to the front needed to be replaced soon also. Which I thought was funny since I had just replaced those one a few weeks before that. I understand that part of their job is to up sale but come on! Don't try to LIE to customers! I did the customer survey they sent me and I put what had happened and next thing I know I get a call from some guy named Mike saying it was a miss communication. So now I have some manager guy just trying to cover their butts. Great tire prices, fast service but they will lie to your face. Sad part is I wonder how many times have they sold tires to people who really didn't need them. read more
