These guys went above and beyond to help us out. They fixed the exhaust system at a reasonable price, given our situation. They were great to work with. OH. MY. GOD. Expensive! Price gougers estimated $225/hour to work on my 1998 Chevy pickup (swapping with my Jeg's Starter and flexplate). They explained that usually they charge $165/hour but since they will be installing my parts they charge $225/hour! They were kind enough to explain it like this, "when you bring in your own parts it's a different rate just like when you bring your own eggs and bacon to dennys they don't make you an omelet for $3 its still the normal price and parts plus labor +lights on and doors open." Regardless, $165/hour is super expensive in itself. Their quote was $2,467.14 on 06/01/23. I almost had a heart attack and called my doctor who only charged me $125/hour. read more

Great customer service, got my first appointment setup for a CEL code. Whoever I stopped by to get my Volvo service light reset at no cost when other service shop wanted at least a hour of diagnostic, got recommended the proper oil for the vehicle while getting the service reset he checked the codes it had real quick and advised me to replace a sensor and got a quick quote and talked to me a little bit about what caused the issue and how I should not worry much but did advise to get it fixed so I now have a appointment setup. Overall very friendly and very knowledgeable. Would recommend due to the great customer service read more

My muffler was broken. Redline was very communicative during the process of getting my car fixed. The mechanic also noted various other small issues that should be looked at. He spoke with me in the phone and made good suggests for which repairs are more pressing and which could be postponed. I appreciate the honesty which he demonstrated. Going to a mechanic can always be a stressful situation because you may not know what is wrong or what the price may be to fix it. I highly recommend Redline to anyone. I had water leaking into my car after it rained. I tried fixing it myself but I couldn't fix the problem. I decided to take it to Redline Automotive. I typically do my own car repairs but since I'm pressed for time and heard good reviews I thought I would give it a try. It was dropped off on a Sunday and by Monday afternoon it was fixed. I left a detailed letter stating where I thought the problem was and all the parts I removed were in the backseat. I removed the glovebox and 2 trim pieces to get to where the water was coming into the car. It took me about 10 minutes to remove. The total bill was $377 for 2 hours of diagnostic time and repair which I'm fine with. When I got into my car to leave, all the parts were still in the backseat that I had removed. I went back into the shop and talked to the mechanic and he told me "We didn't remove them." Mind you these guys advertise as a european car repair shop. The mechanic then gave me a song and dance about all the diagnosing they did. He did offer to put it back together but I couldn't wait. He made some excuse it may take him awhile to put it back together (30 minutes). It took me a whole ten minutes when I got home to put it back together. I guess they can afford to lose business over stuff like this because I won't be going back to them. read more

The owner was the worst & was rude the entire time! If you can avoid this place I would recommend you do so. My Cadillac had a broken passenger & driver window and when I asked what was going to be done he was so rude to not only me but my boyfriend. THIS PLACE OVERCHARGES!!! After receiving bad mechanical & customer service I wised up & took my car to the GMC/Buick/Cadillac dealership on Clearwater Ave & they fixed my driver window for HALF OF WHAT THIS GUY CHARGED...SAME WORK at this place was about $125 more than at the GMC/Buick/Cadillac dealership on Clearwater Ave & they were pleasant. I didn't want special treatment or to be treated like royalty but like a paying customer, who's money goes to keeping the company going. I usually don't leave bad reviews but was SO DISSATISFIED that I had to warn others before they found themselves in my situation... (I wish someone would have told me :( ) Anyways.. I don't normally do reviews but in this case, I felt obligated to share my bad experience. I was told by 2 different places (the dealer and Redline Automotive) that I needed a new engine (it was consuming massive quantities of oil with only 71,000 miles on the engine, but there were no signs of where the oil was going). I got an estimate from Redline Automotive and they said they could replace my short block for $3-4 thousand dollars. I chose to purchase a higher end short block engine along with various other higher end parts that are rated better instead of using only OEM parts. I ordered the parts from a trusted, certified and reputable dealer/retailer, and had everything shipped directly to Redline for installation. I was told by the retailer that everything I bought was everything that was needed for the replacement (nothing missing - included short block, head studs, gaskets, oil filter, etc.). They did the installation and indicated that parts were missing from what I had purchased and an additional $1000 worth of parts were needed (should have at least given me a heads up but didn't). After getting my car back, I was given the "extra" unused parts, which included items that should have been installed (including a coolant mod to correct a known potential heat issue on one of the cylinders). When I questioned why the coolant mod hadn't been installed initially, I was told that the directions weren't clear enough (they were very clear and included pictures). Initially, when I got my car back, everything looks clean and as though a good job had been done and care taken with my car. What follows has me wondering if this is really looks and what really lurks under the clean engine bay. The company that built the engine requires three stages of break in with oil changes at specific intervals and specific types of oil. I was given a quote for first 2 oil changes being $196.00, 3rd at $170.00 (included labor charged hourly, oil and filter). They charge labor (hrs. worked) plus all materials used (labor is usually a flat rate and not hourly for an oil change, and the hours charged seemed a bit much). This price seemed excessive for what I typically pay at other reputable shops. I decided to give them the benefit of doubt and went back to have 50-mile engine break in oil changed (first oil change). They agreed to install coolant mod at no additional charge but they did charge me for an oil filter when I had provided one to be used, gave it back to me. When installing the coolant mod, they indicated that they had to drill and tap the engine, but the instructions clearly stated that all it needed is to remove a factory plug and replace it with a threaded fitting (using a thread sealant to prevent leaks). My next oil change was at 500 miles. They used my provided oil filter this time but I was charged for one. After the oil change, they came out and showed me engine oil with metallic flakes in it and stated this was highly unusual and acted like I needed to purchase a different engine. They then mentioned that there was a leak coming from one of the valve covers and that it would need to be replaced, along with the associated gasket, spark plug seals & cam plugs. This should have been done in the initial engine swap since it all had to be removed, there was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with the valve cover or gasket when I brought them the car, and the parts I bought included new valve cover gaskets. New spark plugs were supposedly installed at this time as well. At this point I am uncertain if all of the parts I procured were even installed, if the labor I paid for was accurate and what damage may have been done during the engine swap (like my valve cover). I am highly upset with them and think they are extremely unethical, lack integrity and other people should be made aware of their shady business practices. They did not guarantee their work and requested that I pay for them to replace the gasket to begin with and is now leaking. I ended up taking my car to another known and trusted shop to have the gasket replaced for about half of what I was quoted at Redline and I no longer have issues with leaking around my valve cover. I also asked the second shop to investigate the work performed and look over the list of parts I had initially procured. They indicated that I was over charged and the parts I procured should have been used in the beginning and not trying to reuse old parts/gaskets. I will never do business with Redline Automotive or recommend them to anyone. read more

I found him because my mother does his bookkeeping, and when my car broke down and I needed to know if it was better to fix it or sell it I brought it to him, turns out it was better to sell it, but another shop wanted me to fix it. This guy was honest and offered to do the work but explained it would cost more then I paid for the car, his competitors left that out and just said we can start now. My sister has been looking for a car and test drove 3 now that she decided she liked, looked good, sounded good, drove easy, after taking it to this guy she found some big issues like where one had been in a car accident and tried to be repaired but could fall apart at any minuet, another had an issue with exhaust coming into the cab while driving..um no. Thanks to him for helping! He really cares about the customers and the cars before thinking about money. read more

I didn't know they made "non snooty" euro car mechanics, but Jeremy is just that, and a damn good one too. 5 star rating from me.

1 star because they don't have negative stars... Had our Odyssey checked because it was vibrating at certain RPMs, they looked at the tranny fluid and quoted me $6,500+ for a full tranny rebuild because "there was pieces of torque converter and clutch in the fluid" Took to another shop for a second opinion because it drove just fine outside 2 specific RPM ranges. It turned out to be a loose motor mount. $80 for a look and labor to tighten it. absolutely nothing wrong with the transmission! I ALMOST spent close to $7,000 on something that was perfectly fine! And to make it even worse, they were the last people who took the motor out to replace a rear main seal, so they were the ones who didn't tighten down the motor mounts when they gave it back to us the first time!!! When asked directly if a loose mount was the issue, they said they were fine. So they either lied about it, or didn't really check them. BEYOND unacceptable, borderline criminal in my opinion. A small mistake, ok I get it. People make mistakes. But this is such a huge show of incompetence it drive me nuts. Either the "mechanic" shouldn't ever touch another car again, or the shop is just quoting something they can make money on instead of doing the right thing. Either way, I will NEVER take a car there again nor would I recommend them to my worst enemy. They came so highly recommended too. Makes me wonder who else they have done this to. read more
