I had a pleasant experience with Gerber! I spent a couple weeks driving around the city getting quotes on how much it would cost to fix the back part of my car (driver's side) & a broken taillight. Gerber's quote was the most reasonable and pretty much spot on as far as the estimate my insurance company suggested as well. I first brought my car to the Gerber location in Decatur and the customer service rep was very helpful! She was courteous, understanding and very transparent about how the process would go. I ended up bringing by car to this location because it's closer to where I live. I dropped my car off on a Monday morning and received it back the following week on Tuesday afternoon. I received a packet with instructions on how to car for my car the next 30 days (I had a paint job done over the affected areas as well) and an itemized list of the cost of parts/ labor cost etc. Overall I'm glad my baby is fixed! I'm glad this experience was hassle free and I knew exactly what to expect while my car was in the shop. UPDATE: I should add that I have total full body coverage for my car insurance. So either way I pay my $500 deductible and that's it. I did look over the details of my receipt and saw the final price of the work done was DOUBLE what the estimate was. Ultimately it made no difference in what I paid (because I only paid my deductible). However, I'm sure my insurance company wasn't too thrilled with that. I'd be extra cautious (especially) if you're paying for work out of pocket. read more

Want to make sure that this post is seen as much as possible as there are far better shops to go than this one. As I stated in post never offered any type of reimbursement for extra rental costs due to shops schedule or lack of. Never a phone call from any of the managers. So beware before using them. Mike D.2015 Acura Worst experience, car was there to paint a spot on inside of hatchback. Estimate done in September but car cannot be done until mid October, Given a date of October 18th but than pushed to the 25th. Car was there from October 25th until November 6th. I was told the car would be ready on a Thursday than pushed to Friday. Mean while I am having to pay rental expense as the wait has gone over my insurance allotment. I am now told that car would be ready on Monday instead of Friday. This is now costing me $170.00 extra in rental fees, so I ask for the shop to pick-up for all the delays. I am told that Wayne the manager will not pick up extra days of r ental. I ask to speak to Wayne who is now in a "meeting" ask for a call back which is never received nor is he in when I call. Spoke with corporate office, who informed me that the area manager Richard would give me a call. Well, I guess Wayne and Richard both went to the same school of don't call customer back. I would not let either one of these managers, manage my "Out House". No Management Skills at this Company. read more

We have used Gerber now a couple of times and have been very pleased with the work. The people are fantastic and communicate very well. They went above and beyond to explain everything and were extremely helpful. It is nice to have not only a place where the work done is top notch, but where everyone is helpful and pleasant in the process. They were seamless with our insurance company which was also very nice...no hassles. We have used them both times for collision/body work and would recommend them highly. I'll give 1 star just because I Can't write a review with 0 star which is what they deserve. Went in to get an estimate on the bumper of my car that was crashed while parked. A lady came out looked at it and took notes and said she will not be able to give an estimate that day because she had a meeting in buckhead and that we will be having the estimate the next day, but 3 days later and we never hear from them. We called them and not answer. Very unprofessional way to run a business. I will not recommend this place at all! read more

Got rear ended and found Gerber collision to repair my car, (I chose this over caliber collision because I heard bad reviews) once I took it in, I got a call the next day saying it would be $10k worth of damages instead of $3k and they ultimately couldn't do anything, when I went to get my car the entire rear bumper was removed and tail lights. I asked if they could put it back on and they said no, because it would cost extra and take about an hour or so. They pulled me to the back to take a look and they said they couldnt get the bumper back on "impossible, doesn't budge" so fine, nothing could be done, I went up front to pay and they charged $360!! Just because they removed the bumper and tail lights. I was so frustrated and asked why the price if they didn't do much, but I couldn't do anything. I paid, walked out, got in my car when it was pulled around, I went to fix the seats because they were adjusted all the way back (I'm small) so I went to re-adjust and the seats would barely move (power seats) on top of that it made a loud noise like was stuck, I went to check if anything was caught on the bottom and it was all clear. I told the manager and he said "it's not our problem, we didn't touch that" you're telling me you didn't touch it but clearly someone moved my seat all the way back, I'm small, my feet didn't even touch the pedals because it was pushed back so far. We argued for a minute but ultimately just left. Scammed out of $360 returned my car with a broken power seat, and no bumper who my friend ended up putting back on in 20 minutes. Joe was very communicative with me with updates, I pretty much got a text every day with an update on the car's status. My Honda Accord was originally repaired by the Gerber in Decatur. Unfortunately, I still noticed some issues with my car. My right front wheel was making a scraping sound as I drove, and the axle would make a popping sound on sharp turns. I took my car to the Gerber on Oak Street instead. Chris D. of Gerber was very approachable and willing to help given the situation. Chris fixed my car in under two days and continuously kept me up to date on the status of my car. I needed a realignment and my disc brake straightened. The Gerber on Oak Street fixed everything free of charge, comped the rental car expense, and even washed my car. I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Chris and the entire staff at the Gerber on Oak Street. If I do need collision repair in the future, I will certainly take my car back to this Gerber instead. read more

I just picked up our Kia Sedona van that Gerber repaired following a nasty crash. Everything about Gerber Collision & Glass on Oak Street has been a very positive experience. We received twice-weekly updates, both by phone and text messages, which were much appreciated. We were also nicely surprised when the repairs were completed 5 days ahead of schedule! Okay I never take the time to leave reviews - but Gerber was wonderful so I have to support this business! This was my first experience having to have work done on my car. I was in a minor accident, but was unable to drive my car due to the damage. Gerber was extremely accommodating in that every other auto shop had no openings sooner then 4-6 weeks out. Gerber was able to fit me into a cancellation spot within two weeks (still later than I would have preferred but they fit me into the soonest opening they had). They arranged a tow truck (within short notice on my part) to come get my car on the day of the appointment and were here to pick up my car within an hour. They completed the repair within one week. The receptionists, Kathy and Mary, were very communicative with me and super helpful. These girls deserve a raise!!! Hopefully, I won't have to have any more reasons to need work done on my car in the future, but if I do, this is where I will go. read more

Fantastic service, fantastic people. I have used the two times in the past 6 months. Once for a fender bender with a pole and once for a full on traffic accident. Both times they were very informative and very friendly. I would and have recommended them to other people. They called me regularly to let me know how the progress was going, which was especially helpful when it came to my car. It was out for three weeks due to a severe front-end collision. When it came to picking it up, they were extremely helpful and they allowed me to leave my rental car there for Enterprise to come get later. VERY HELPFUL! read more

I had a front end collision with my Mercedes CLK 350 a month ago. This required replacement of the bumper, radiator, compressor, hood, etc. My CLK was in perfect condition, and now thanks to the great work with Mike and his team at Gerber, my baby is back in perfect condition. Mercedes has strict requirements on replacements and Gerber made sure that the return to correct requirements was the number one focus. Mike kept me up to date twice a week on the progress, and was always courteous and professional. Chris helped me at the end with the pick up of the car and final processing and explained Gerber's view of Customer Number One. And boy did they prove it. I just wanted to say that I had to remove this comment because my husband was threatened at his work for my review. This is not a way a company should be run, and I understand that my review made you look bad, but it was the truth. The company my husband worked for and this company work together in many projects, so we thought that this would be a good place to take his car to get it repaired after his car was damaged. This company did bad work, so I wrote a review. If you notice below they responded to my review saying they would contact me, and what they actually did was contacted my husband's place of work, told his boss about my review, and made him change the review. They contacted me alright. I will never trust this place again. I like Gerber, and will go to other locations, but what this location did was rather corrupt and I don't agree with this, and I thought people should know. Go to another Gerber. The work done was a windshield replacement and some cosmetic body work in the front. The windshield leaked, and there was over spray all over the car. read more

Terrible company, do not use them for glass replacement/repair. had my windshield repaired and it broke less than a week later, tried to get someone to come out and look at it for the warranty... the guy never even showed up for the appointment. took another 2 weeks to finally see someone and the issue is still not resolved. read more

My 2014 Nissan Frontier was keyed from front to back. The whole side had to be repainted, Roswell Gerber collision and glass did an excellent job. The job was completed in less time than I had anticipated and I am very satisfied with the work. The people there were very friendly and I really enjoyed talking to Richard Kiefer. He explained what needed to be done and made sure I understood everything. The receptionist, Anita LaDuca was a real sweetheart!
