I got two estimates - one from Gerber on 90th Street , One from Raintree on Raintree for a minor parking lot scrape. Gerber wanted $2000 more than Raintree for the same job. Some things took 5 hours instead of 4, $500 more for parts, Paint labor twice as much, Raintree miscellaneous was $12. Gerber's was over a thousand dollars. On a positive note Gerber was polite. BTW I have used Gerber on Raintree at least twice and was very satisfied but Raintree has my business now. read more

I was in an accident and despite my request to see another collision center recommended by my dealership, I went to the one my insurance wanted me to go to. At first, I thought they did a great job. The next few weeks, my husband noted a subtle different in the color of my hood, versus the body of the car. Okay, I can live with it. Now it is 4 years later. The hood looks like someone took a Brillo pad to it in one equal direction and the front keeps coming off of the attachment clips. My insurance likely will not pay to repair this now. So I will go to the first recommended body shop and see what was done wrong to cause this! I gave them a 3 star because they were quick, but sometimes a good job takes a while. Called here a month and a half ago, asked if I could come in for an estimate and to get my headlight lens buffed clean. I won't do business with this company. They're disorganized and put people on the phone with no customer service skill. I made an appointment for an estimate. An hour later, someone else from Gerber called me to make one because the insurance company assignment was made. I told her that I had already made an appointment, at which point she confirmed it was for Monday. On Monday, nobody has the appointment. I had cleared my schedule and wasted my time. The San Victor location told me to call the Raintree location and the Raintree location told me to call the San Victor location, after rudely talking over me. This says everything about their systems and how they're managed as a business, as well as who they employ. I punted, called Caiber Collision, who is going to take my car at 9AM tomorrow, for repair, and couldn't have been any nicer. I'm going to do my best to help my insurer know what they're subjecting their customers to by sending them to Gerber. Oh, by the way, they all go to lunch from 12-1 so, if you're a masochist, don't bother them during that time. Reply to comments from the business: Honestly, there won't be a next time. As a business owner, I understand that I have one chance to make a first impression. I spoke with four different people at two of your shops and those interactions made it clear that service is actually not important to Gerber. If it were, you wouldn't put people on the phone who have no concept of service, or even basic manners. Saying it's important is much different than hiring and training people who actually deliver on that claim. I did file a complaint with my insurer and asked that they not include Gerber in their repair network. read more

Wish I could -0-. Ins referred me to them after an accident. They took longer than quoted, wouldn't work with ins to cover my rental, were the biggest pain to get updates and real dates/costs... but I finally got my car back.... In surgeries after, hardly driving and all tires keep blowing (4 tires in 5mo). My tire guy said it was poor repair, in addition, my rear bumper is separated from the car.... I called to explain and give them a chance. Pretty much shot down. This'll be additional out of pocket expenses post not-at-fault accident. I DO NOT recommend this business for quality or service. We had our vehicle fixed here as they partner with our insurance company. The insurance company accidentally sent the check to us instead of them. They called us asking for the money, which we agreed to but said would take a day or two given that it's a Friday and I'm currently out of state, and their response was that we need to bring it in ASAP or they will send us to collection. It is absolutely bonkers to talk to your customers in this way and escalate a conversation for no reason at all. This company doesn't deserve your business. Their repair work is mediocre and their customer service is junk. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. There are many very reputable repair shops in Arizona, and you are legally protected in using whatever shop that you desire. read more

I was in quite a predicament! While driving to a Dr appointment, my rear view mirror fell off of my windshield and into my lap! Yikes! I spoke to my dealership and they recommended Gerber. I stopped by around 3:00PM and was seen right away by a very helpful guy. I went to Gerber Collision & Glass on Raintree to get an estimate on removing a LARGE abrasion on the left rear corner panel on my Honda CRV. I asked Angel if it could just be buffed out rather than replacing the entire panel, and he explained that it would polish off but there would be a couple of small spots that would need to be touched up with auto paint. I agreed to this approach and he immediately took the car back to work on it. He was able to complete the work in under 15 minutes, and the car was repaired as promised. I am very pleased with the excellent customer service and the outcome of the work. I would like to thank Angel for his willingness to complete the work as requested and for providing such fast service! I was very surprised and pleased that I did not have to schedule an appointment and come back to get the work done. My car got hit by someone in a parking lot. It was their fault and they were insured by GEICO. After going through the claims process, they offered the use of this body shop to repair my car because they have a claims adjuster located on-site to handle the process and that it would be faster. They also offer a lifetime guarantee and warranty for all work completed by the shop....ok. The process was pretty easy and convenient. Dropped off the car and then received daily phone calls from the shop keeping me informed of the progress....it was nice, but a little bit over the top. Since it was covered by insurance, I'm not sure if their pricing is fair or expensive....but the work they did was good. You really can't tell that the car was involved in an accident. My Gerber representative Chris F. was awesome. I brought my car in for an estimate on Tuesday, dropped it off for repair on Thursday and picked my car up this afternoon. Throughout the entire process I would receive text updates letting me know the status. Gerber did an amazing job and my car was sparkling clean when I picked it up. Took my Honda here after it had a run in with a large wooden pallet that was laying in the middle of Interstate 8 a few miles outside of Gila Bend. I had bad damage to the fender and wheel well areas. Gerber was excellent in taking care of my repairs and got my car back to pristine condition. I will use Gerber again should the need ever arise again (hopefully not though). The only thing I would suggest though is the shop should do a better job at communicating on the status of your vehicle (which is why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5). I had to keep calling the shop for an update and to check as to when my car would be ready. I never hardly heard from the shop. I didn't even know that the repair was going to take an extra day until I called Gerber. I always had to call them, they never called me. The automatic text messages that their system sends you are very slow and delayed in coming through to you. The repairs were excellent. Customer contact and updates though, not so much. read more
