I was involved in an accident and took my vehicle to Fix IT Body Shop because it was a preferred shop through my insurance. The damage was purely cosmetic--there was no mechanical or structural damage. Before choosing them, I checked Google reviews and saw they had a 4+ star rating. My insurance company had my vehicle towed, and I spoke with Collin over the phone. During that conversation, I clearly stated that I did not want my front license plate mounted to the bumper, as the bumper was being refurbished. Collin agreed and told me the repair would take about one to two weeks. About a week and a half later, I was notified that my car was ready. When I arrived to pick it up, the first thing I noticed was that the front license plate had been mounted to the bumper anyway. Collin apologized and said they would remove it and repaint the bumper. I also pointed out that the headlight seals were not sitting flush with the bumper and that the inner fender liner was not properly adjusted, leaving noticeable gaps. A few days later, when I returned to pick up my car, I noticed a visible paint chip under the driver side headlight. Once again, I had to leave my car for repairs. When I returned again, there was a visible crease in the paint near the fog light. After yet another repair attempt, the paint began cracking at the bumper mounting points, and I had to leave my car again. Eventually, Collin informed me that they would need to order a new bumper because the original could no longer be refurbished. When I picked up the car after the new bumper was installed, it initially looked good. However, I noticed that the weather stripping around the headlights was damaged and the inner fender liner was still not properly adjusted. Collin argued that the damage was due to the age of the car, but I explained that the headlights were less than four years old and were damaged during their repair process. At that point, he was dismissive and showed no concern. Additionally, my vinyl rails were damaged because the shop ran my car through a drive through car wash. Collin even complained that insurance companies do not pay to wash cars. The interior of my vehicle was left in terrible condition, and this was dismissed as being "a little dirty." Ultimately, I had to take my car to another body shop, where these issues were fixed correctly the first time. I also had to replace my headlights due to the damage caused by Fix IT Body Shop. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. Stay away. read more

Brought my Mercedes into Collin after a truck backed into the trunk of my car and left a large dent and scratches on the lid. Was told by two other local shops, that we would need a full trunk replacement and estimated for $6k. When Collin looked at my car, his price was 1/3 of that and told me it could be done without a brand new trunk but would take about 9 days to complete. After the repairs at FixAuto, my car looks perfect and no new trunk needed. Repairs were done earlier than estimated and car was cleaned. I brought my car here for an insurance repair as well as a repair that was being paid for out of pocket. The first concern I had was the car wasn't finished on the date/time promised, but things happen and I was told by the owner that he was being really picky with my car's repair and wanted to make sure it was done right. I felt good hearing that and fortunately, the insurance portion of the repair was fine, no problems. UNfortunately, the out of pocket portion had paint problems (bubbles, a hair stuck in the paint, a spot of discoloration, a white film all over the plastic paneling), a cargo door panel falling off (after driving around for a few weeks) and dimples in a side panel, which all led us to having to bring my car back multiple times. The owner was cordial at first, but after my boyfriend confronted him via email regarding the frustration of having multiple paint/body work imperfections and revisits to the shop the owner's kind behavior towards us changed. My boyfriend picked up my vehicle as I could not be there and after looking at it myself the paint work this time is mostly okay, but now the vehicle's model logo has been unevenly adhered to the cargo door. Sigh. The owner made sure to tell my boyfriend at this most recent pickup that he had spent $2k to redo the work (that wasn't done properly the first time, which is not our fault), that we were too picky about paint imperfections, and that the work he had done would be as good as was going to get. At that point, he walked away from my boyfriend and that was the end of the conversation. My experience was not unpleasant at first, but became quite stressful with every additional interaction I had with the owner. I felt badly for bothering him, but it is also my first, brand new car and something I value very much. I just wanted it to look great again and he made me feel as if that was asking too much. I am now seeking estimates from other shops in the area to help me with the issues that this body shop owner believes are not correctable. read more

Done on time, however the actual repair was awful, with bumps in the paint and not straight. Upon driving the car, the front distance sensors no longer worked correctly. I was told they don't fix that, they would take it to the dealer, and there would be an extra charge. Not happening. They will not touch my car ever again. Couldn't be more pleased. Someone backed into my rear panel 2017 imprezza hatch back. Got two other estimates that were twice as much. Fix Auto had my car four days, kept me informed along the way, and most importantly, it's absolutely perfect. Not a hint that there had been a repair. If I could give zero stars I would. I waited 3 weeks to take my car in and when I got there the guy with long hair (might be colen?) finally came out of his office. I took him to my car and started to explain what the dealership said needed to be done and he cut me off and said I'm sorry we are way to busy and turn customers away everyday. I would have to charge you like $900 to identify the problem. I said I'm trying to tell you the problem but you won't listen. I completely understand that places are busy but why the hell did you make me an appointment then? I wasted my time completely. The guy should not be a business owner or manager. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Horrible customer service, rudest guy ever, arrogant, rushing me out, I can go on... I don't understand why people go there. I would recommend against using this company... I had a recent experience, and hopefully will not have a need for any future body work. If I do, I will definitely take my business elsewhere. A job that was supposed to take 1 week took 4. I do not blame them for that, as it was an older vehicle with some parts needing replacement that were difficult to source (back up sensors). The communication was pretty good and the work appears to have been fine. I was rear-ended and the trunk was jammed shut. There were several items in the trunk... many of which were papers & files that did not have any monetary value - but had tremendous value in terms of documents that I needed (and will continue to need). When I dropped the vehicle off I SPECIFICALLY TOLD the gentleman that there were many items that looked like trash but were absolutely not... and that they were VERY IMPORTANT and would be needed. He ASSURED me EVERYTHING would be retained. When I picked up the vehicle, there were no documents at all. When I went in to express concern, I got a flip response "Everything that was left in the car is in there now" (if there is anything worse than being wrong or being cocky it is being wrong AND cocky). When we opened the trunk, he said "Wait, there were a bunch of papers in here". I said "Yep". He said he would check with both the detailers, as he was sure they had been placed somewhere and he would get back to me. No call that afternoon. Or the next morning. So I called to ask for confirmation that they were lost. He responded and said that everything that was in the vehicle was returned. I came unglued... he obviously thought I was an idiot or had dementia (I am in my 40's) - the day before he acknowledged there were items there that were not replaced. As time goes on, I am finding more items that I do not have and suspect were in the trunk - and it is a huge inconvenience. I never had the chance to document its contents before dropping the vehicle off... I assume anything of tangible value was returned. But if there was anything missing I am doubtful I would have gotten an honest response. I do not believe it was an intentional error... I suspect the papers were probably left in the shop in a box and tossed by the cleaning crew. It has caused me grief (which is ongoing)... and he was not man enough to own & accept responsibility for the issue, instead reverting to the "deny and deflect" approach that you have come to accept from a politician. No one is perfect... but I SPECIFICALLY raised this issue UP FRONT and my concerns were obviously ignored - as NO care was taken to preserve my items. And when it went bad... he tried to tell me I was wrong. Good luck with that... Life is FAR too short to give business to companies like this. /Rant Over read more

Rebecca who answered was extremely rude misunderstanding my questions,answering politely I even apologized and stated there must be some confusion, was placed on hold , then she passed the phone to Collin, the owner, who got on the phone and stated "by the way im on the phone since you were being rude with the last representative, so how about you tone it down a notch," trying to stay professional was the hardest and i felt attacked, him not even hearing the conversation in the first place. very poor customer service experience for sure! read more

I bought a car from the a man that I was told is a PART OWNER of this shop, NOT an employee. The car had a salvaged title and was rebuilt after the collision by this body shop. While I LOVE THIS CAR and have ZERO buyers remorse as mentioned by the tirade of excuses published below by the owner of this place. KK bought the car from an insurance auction. Rebuilt it, drove it for 2 years and sold it to me. Part of the conditions of this sale was they were to remedy some damage on the vehicle on the rear right door. When KK took the car in to do this contractually obligated repair, they did a shitty job. Spot fixed it. It stood out like a sore thumb. After I bought the car I further found out that the car will never be able to be aligned because the sub frame is bent and should have been replaced from the major collision that totaled it. I had TWO other body shops confirm this. Below I am accused of wrecking it myself. The truth is, I thought the car needed alignment and I would handle it when I put new tires on the car. When I did, the tire shop showed me from underneath how the car subframe was shifted so I took it to the body shops to confirm. Bottom line, corners were cut to repair the vehicle from the original collision. then when further paint repairs were to be done per the deal, they cut more corners by attempting to repair the work the cheapest way humanly possible and then lying about how the work was done and making excuses for the poor quality work. Instead of bringing the car back AGAIN, I took it to another shop. ASK YOURSELF THIS..... HOW MANY OTHER REPAIR JOBS, EVEN YOUR OWN, WILL BE DONE HALF ASSED BECAUSE YOU WONT EVER FIND OUT UNTIL MUCH LATER OR AT ALL. THE OWNERS BULLSHIT EXCUSES FURTHER SOLIDIFY HIS ATTITUDE THAT HES RIGHT, AND CUSTOMERS ARE WRONG. Seriously I would pick another body shop. Plenty out there to choose from. Wish I could give rave reviews on this place. Back in June I had a little accident with my 2012 Honda Civic Si, I was told Kustom Koachworks did a good job, but the person who referred me had to have been talking about the Mesa branch. As as far as getting the dents out of the metal they did a good job the rest, forget it. Had to take it back to replace the belt moulding, and have weather stripping fixed. As I keep finding mistakes I am not happy. They failed to put on the decal that says i-VTEC DOHC, the inside door panel was ruined, when I had to remove the front bumper to replaced my A/C condenser because it ate a rock (the condenser was not their fault) I found broken and missing clips, screws were not in the right places, the door has atleast a quarter inch gap, I know this by comparing the drivers side and being able to stick my key chain in between door and body which I can't on drivers side, when discussing this with the so-called technician he said "something that is so significant of a cunt hair is not worth fixing" his words not mine thank you, sort of pissed me off. Not only is my door panel ruined they used a screw driver to remove the plastic piece that is supposed to uncover the two screws in order to remove the door panel. I guess that sets apart real auto technicians from body shop technicians. I was assured that the alignment was good, yet upon further inspection I found the rear wheel toed in and was dog-tracking and was not provided with before and after sheet. Thankfully I can fix everything else and I work for a Honda dealer and can get parts at a significant discount. I feel like an ass for telling my insurance company to send my car here. Next time if I need a body shop I will be going to the Mesa branch. To my suspicion they half assed the job at the last minute, after all they told my insurance company it was done, when I went to retrieve my vehicle it was not, to find out it would be done by end of day. Why would my insurance company say it was done when it wasn't? When I took it back, said unprofessional tech left dusty boot and finger prints all over my car. Just because I am wearing a uniform for another shop doesn't give that piece of shit to talk to me the way he did and leave my car dirty. read more
