On my way into work I struck a large bird which caused significant damage to the driver's side of my windshield. I called a couple other glass companies recommended by my insurance that opened early and neither had any appointment's available that day to replace my windshield. I called Magic Windshields because they were close to my work. Magic Windshields opened early so I called them right when they opened. I spoke with Gracie who was very helpful and checked with the installers and manager to make sure they could get my windshield replaced before I left work. I needed to leave work by 2pm at the latest and she made sure it would happen. I was also informed the company was also a recommended shop by my insurance, so that was a nice bonus. Gracie told me they could get it done and come to my work to get it done before 1pm. Cristian, the installer called me about 10 minutes before he arrived and quickly replaced my windshield. I am extremely thankful they were able to help me out so quickly and get me back on the road. Buyer Beware, Magic (not) Windshields uses low quality chinese (Fuyao) glass by default. This cheap quality glass is easily chipped/cracked which might make you a repeat customer and costing more money. Magic Windshields did a good job. So, I needed a windshield for my Mustang, and I didn't really think much about it. For a different car I'd used "A large corporation that does windshields that everyone has heard of and does passable work." Weirdly enough they couldn't do it, and it turns out I'm glad they couldn't. Apparently there are materials they couldn't get due to the age and style, so I had to check in to alternatives. Magic Windshield got back to me first and had marvelous reviews and I see why now. First, the frustrating. When I checked, they got back to me with a very low quote. I called them up, and I asked two questions. "Does it have a logo?" No. That costs more. Okay I figured it would. "This other company couldn't do it due to this that and the other. Are you sure you can do it?" Yes, but it will cost more because of these things. At this point I'm frustrated that people don't check before giving a quote and making appointments, but I'm starting to think I should just get it done, so I bite the bullet, pay a bit more, and make the appointment. A day later they are changing my appointment time; and I'm questioning my intelligence for making an appointment with a completely unknown entity. Now, the good. The glass fits like a glove, unlike what was in the car before. They fixed the molding that the previous company messed up. They also aligned the trim correctly, which the previous company also messed up. The front of the car literally has never looked this good. Once they got here (and it turns out they had a good reason for the reschedule), they did a quick and efficient job. Despite the previous outfit's incompetence, they did not charge more. They fixed the problems, and were as good as their word on the quote. I promise, I had no idea that it had been done wrong, but now that it's right, I can tell. Bottom line, they did a good job. The work is good, they use the right parts, and though I paid a bit more than some others might have charged, it was worth it. read more

The person on the phone said that the tech would show up at my house as agreed that afternoon and never did. No called to let me know they were not coming or needed to reschedule. I change my window out if they cannot get rid of the legs in the crack, but these folks just went ahead and attempted to fix it fill it & it looks like crap. Had a rock crack my BMW windshield and needed it replaced. This is the 2nd time this happened. The first time, I went with Safelite and found that the glass that they used (non-OEM) and messed with my heads up display (distorted/reflected). The 2nd time, I was overwhelmed with the number of State Farm approved repair shops that were offered to me. I was referred to Magic Windshields by a friend (they were also State Farm approved) and I very happy with not only the service (mobile), but also the fact that they use OEM parts. Wow, this process could not have been any easier. Had a crack in the windshield that was starting to spread. Called magic windshield based on a recommendation from a friend, and could not have been happier. They were super friendly, responsive, and quick to come out. It was about a 30 min wait after my call and Brendan (the owner) was able to make it out to my apartment and do the repairs right in the parking lot. Brendan was super informative in each step of the process and was a legit down to earth guy. Price was also way less than I expected, especially with some of the discounts he had going. I cleaned two lenses of some ground lights that had had limescale build up on them for years. These are before and after photos. I started manually but had to switch to a drill at low revs with light pressure. Each lasted about 15 minutes. As you can see, it works great! Then I'll try it on a different glass, like the window on my 1995 truck (I'll test it on a small, inconspicuous spot first). Very satisfied, highly recommended! read more

We had our windshield broke coming down from Flagstaff and tried to get it fixed in Prescott. Every repair facility said they couldn't do it that day because they had to order it from Phoenix so my wife got on Yelp and ran into this magic windshield place and after a very pleasant 15 minutes on the phone they said come on over and we will put it in this afternoon! We got to the facility very easily since it's probably 15 miles north of Phoenix and the people got on it immediately and we and the wife stopped at a very nice food bus a half a block away, and before we even had time to eat our sandwich they had the windshield in! We broke the windshield out last year and had it repaired in Billings Montana this time it was $70 less,put in very quickly and never had any restrictions on driving right away. All the people were friendly as heck and I know it sounds like I've been paid to say this, but if you ever have a broken windshield on the road this place is the place to call,you won't be disappointed! read more

This place is a total scam. I called last night and talked to "Derrick" who told me all about their lifetime warranty, full guarantee against spreading, blah blah blah. So I scheduled. Four people called me the next morning before the chip repair tech came and said they're "from the glass shop and missed a call from me," and I said why are you all calling and saying you're from "the glass shop" and none of them will say the name of the company? Because this seemed sketchy to me, I called a few other places and of course they all quoted me significantly less than "Magic Windshield" did, but I had already committed to a time and planned to be home then so I kept the appt with them. Then the technician came in an unmarked personal vehicle, and he was nice enough but he spent approximately 1 minute "fixing" the chip and said it was done. I've had many windshield chips fixed before and they usually take 20-30 minutes cleaning, grinding, and filling the chip. So I was shocked when he said he was done in one minute. I asked Joe about the warranty and he also assured me of the lifetime warranty, guarantee against spreading, etc. Then Joe called their "shop" to take my credit card and the shop had no record of me or this order. He had to give them my person information 4 times. This made me uncomfortable. Why did I have to give my credit card number four times? Also I got no receipt of any kind. Then just after Joe left, "Paul" called and said "hey this is the glass shop I missed a call from you last night," and keep in mind this is AFTER their tech already "fixed" the windshield. Five people have now called me saying the same thing and mentioning only "glass shop," which seems very sketchy. Now the icing on the cake. 15 minutes after Joe left "Xavier" called and said he wanted to "explain the warranty" to me and I said "actually that's great I'd love to get a receipt and a copy of the warranty covering everything like your rep and tech told me." That's when "Xavier" starts telling me there's actually no warranty against spreading and they don't guarantee or warranty their work in any way and he "listens to all calls" and knows I wasn't promised any kind of warranty or repair." I then asked for his manager and he went away for 5 minutes and said the manager / owner is "unavailable." This place is a total scam. I'm not sure they're even a business? Funny they have 135 reviews on google and 3 on yelp? Seems like someone forgot to buy their fake reviews on Yelp? In reply to "Brendan's" comment below, I received NO discount, and now suddenly after posting this review there's now a warranty. Funny how "Xavier" said the exact opposite and I still haven't received a receipt for payment or anything in writing about this "warranty." read more

This company is AWESOME!! I contacted them last Thursday regarding a foot-long crack in my passenger-side windshield. Brendan was able to come out the following morning, installed a top of the line windshield, and even cleaned off my dashboard which hadn't been touched in over a year due to COVID! I didn't even need that "blue tape" attached to the new windshield as they have a new process which doesn't require that. And they provided me with a cash bonus on the spot.
