Hit 2 Deer. One in my Ram truck 2019, the other in my Wife's Cherokee 2020. Worked well with State Farm in Stanwood, very pleased with outcome. 2 Years later, hit one of those yellow safety posts at gas station, minor damage. I went into Gerber and asked about an estimate. They are very busy (booked out months), and Don asked if he could just look at it for a quick estimate. I said sure, that would be great. The damage is a 6 inch dent, on/or below door level passenger side back door, with the yellow paint stuck on my black truck. The yellow paint made it look worse, the dent is there, but not real noticeable by itself. (The yellow paint stain was gross). That said, Don came out and looked and told me my options. One option was how to get rid of the yellow paint stain. He said, get/buy this..... and get/buy that.....and I said, let me write this down. Don said, I can just do that for you now. 1 minute later the yellow paint was gone, and I had the dent and the bare steel left, but Don gave me a solution. She has gone above and beyond to ask my communication preferences and made me smile at the end of my call. Michelle understands taking care of a stressed out client and how to approach a situation. They messed up my car even more. I had to go to a different place for my car and they fixed it in a day. They also found problems that Gerber Stanwood made while trying to "fix" my car. It took them months to be able to "fully fix" my car, or so they said. When I had to come back about 5 times so they could re fix their own problems. Don't go here! Worst auto body repair. Got into an accident in my 2014 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Diesel truck and thought to myself "Hey Gerber is a well known quality company". Well let me tell you they are well known but do not do quality work. 1st. My bumper was not bolted up properly (missing bolts on a MAIN support bracket) 2nd. the seams between the hood and the fender and the fender to the door was not right, 3rd. they told me that they had a mechanic verify that my truck was in good working condition and that they did an alignment, come to find out that everything on the drivers side (tierods, wheel hub, upper A arm and not to mention the impact put a hole in my intercooler that caused my turbo to go bad) All of which Gerber said was Ok and didn't need replacement. All needed to be replaced to the tune of $8000+ dollars after Gerber was done with the $6000 in repairs that they didn't even do right. 4th. They ruined one of my brand new tires and said they would replace it but when they found out that the manufacturer would only sell them in sets of two because the tires are directional, Gerber did nothing to make it right. All I can say is DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR TO THEM UNLESS YOU LIKE HAVING A LOT OF WAISTED TIME LIKE ALMOST A YEAR AND WORK DONE SUB PAR. OH AND LIKE TO PAY LARGE REPAIR BILLS AFTER "EVERYTHING IS FIXED". UPDATE: Gerber collision reached out to me after seeing this review (what a Surprise). I spoke with Don the repair manager, all he said was that I need to bring my truck back to them, he didn't make any attempt to talk about the money I'm now out in repair cost or tire replacement. I let him know that there is no way on God's green earth that I would ever bring my truck back to them to have there hack job repair technicians work on it or any other car that I own. Looks like I'm going to have to get my insurance company and the better business bureau involved. read more

My experience was horrible on so many levels. While my car was in the shop I called to check in on it, wanted to make sure that they were checking the frame since but I was hit at 55+ mph. The receptionist was quite unfriendly about letting me speak to the person who was managing my repairs - I let her know that I was concerned that the frame needed to be checked. Instead of letting me speak to the person managing my car/claim she assured me that the frame would be checked out thoroughly. It was a very unpleasant conversation, all I had wanted was to speak to someone about checking the frame, didn't seem to much to ask. Moving forward, I go to pick up the car. Walking around the car I see a new scratch/gauge out of the paint in an area that wasn't repaired. I also noted that the lift gate closed funny and that there were paint drip marks too. I was disappointed that the car on the inside was not cleaned and a few small parts were left in the vehicle. Moving forward again..... the car lift gate only got worse over time, it was clearly still bent with a bunch of noise (squeaky) and also random metal popping sound when open and closing. I also noticed that there was more noise coming from the rear end of the car as a whole. I thought maybe this is because the lift gate was not put together correctly, and it was letting more road noise in. I got ahold of the Gerber manager, brought the car back in. He said that the plastic panel in the lift gate had popped out of place and they put it back in. Well that fixed it for a little bit... but again the road noise was still there and then the noises from the lift gate started again within a few days. Then I noticed the back drivers side door (side that the car was hit on) started closing funny. I stopped by Ford, and they said most often problems like these are from a bent frame. That weekend I also crawled under the back of the vehicle and noticed a large amount of heavy black soot on what was supposed to be a new exhaust system and muffler. I also noticed that the parts used were not the same standard of parts that were there originally. So I called in to Gerber again. This time I spoke with the manager, and wow, he treated me like I was a moron. He literally said I was the only one who had ever had a problem with the receptionist but that they would fix my car "anyway". I also noted my concerns about the frame, so he went to look at the file - low and behold, after all the hassle the receptionist gave me, they NEVER checked the frame for straightness. I ended up taking the car to several other shops, eventually ending up in a huge battle with Gerber over the original work. Gerber swore up and down that they fixed the car and that it was better than new. They treated me like I was literally crazy to even question their work blaming everything on me and how I "treated" them. I went to two other shops both of which found hidden damage, not just a little damage, a considerable amount. Currently, I have my car sitting at a new shop after Gerber had it three times and swore to me up and down that they fixed my car better than before the accident. The new shop confirmed the damage and so did my insurance adjuster. Extremely disappointed at what Gerber did to me. My car is so screwed up, and Gerber lied to me over and over and over about it, there is absolutely no possible way they didn't know that they covered up a bunch of damage, slapped my car together, had a good old laugh at my expense, and said don't worry - she'll never notice....... Bottom line, this shop thinks nothing of lying to people to save their bottom line. read more

I just recently took my daughters car there which had been hit and we needed an estimate for the insurance to fix it. They are farmers insurance preferred collision specialist and farmers asked if we would like to take it to one of their preferred. I said no problem. Although the car was totaled out in which they never did do work on the vehicle they just were great and had such outstanding service. They really went the extra mile and kept us notified throughout the whole process to let us know what the estimate came back at. They answer the phone quick and kindly and really the only one I dealt with was Michele Knowles. She is 100% the reason I am writing this review. She was so great !! So professional and followed through with everything immediately. They continually kept us informed even before farmers insurance knew anything. When we decided to not have the work done since it was totaled out they still were great The held the vehicle until we were able to pick it up and just had outstanding customer service. Michele Knowles there estimator is a true asset to this company. She definitely has outstanding customer service skills to say the least. I would highly recommend Gerber collision and glass and definitely ask for her if she doesn't answer the phone. Just a full around pleasure to deal with. Thank you Gerber and especially Michele. I hope her boss/owner takes note of this. It's very easy to get bad reviews but to have a client take the time to put in a good review is even harder. I had some scratches and chipped paint from where someone dinged the front end of my car. Nothing major. I called my car dealer where I bought the car and they said they could sell me touch up paint for $40.00. But then I drove to Gerber Collision in Stanwood, and the manager there, named Don, saw the minor damage and took it upon himself to mix the correct paint color and applied the touch up paint himself and refused to charge me anything. He said "I just want people to feel well taken care of." And I didn't have to wait at all. He immediately attended to my vehicle. He has earned my loyalty if and when I need to get my car repaired.
