Terrible customer service. They quote you a low price and then charged $200 more! They broke a part on my upper console last summer while my car was in the shop. They then charged me to replace it for $120! I was quoted $42 last year. I was clearly overcharged. It's a two piece cap that snaps together. Charged me for each side!! Thru didn't rotate my tires. They wouldn't help at all. I wanted a $60.99 refund for not defining the part was two part. So stupid. You can't have one side and not the other. These guys aren't even open on the weekends!! I don't know how they stay in business. It was a 30,000 mile check up!! So I called on a Monday to complain. I was told Nicholas would research it and get back to me. Exactly 5 days later no phone call back and they are closed till Monday. So I called back the next Monday and were given the run around about one part being sold as two separate pieces. Update: I've just received my vehicle back from having the front motor and a battery cell replaced under warranty. They fixed their mistake and refinished my wheels at no charge. They took care of other things for me as well and I'm really grateful. The repair was a big one and we estimated it would be a few months for the parts to arrive but they got it done within a month! Beware of service department at this location. Someone should have told me that we should have taken pictures or a video of our car before leaving it with them. This week my husband needed his VW GTi transmission service done. After being quoted a higher price from a different mechanic, he reached out to the Karmart VW service dept in Burlington, WA. Not only were they able to get his car in on the same day he called, but the cost for the service was way less. "You get what you pay for." It went in for a Transmission service and one recall for a microswitch in the shifter. Nothing else was wrong with the car when we left it there. As he's getting into the car to bring it home, he noticed an issue with the e-brake. It's loose now and the sensor keeps coming on. He immediately brought it to the attention of service desk lady and she stated no one was available to help him. Long story short brought it back today and they simply say, not our problem. We didn't do any work in that area and it just probably went bad. Went bad while sitting in their car lot all day.... okay. I guess cables just snap on their own. They blamed it on the mileage and unknown history of the car. read more

Moved from NY to WA and had issues with the Car Net module on my Atlas Cross Sport. NY dealer (where it was bought) couldn't figure it out nor cared to fix. Gave the folks at Karmart a chance and was very pleased with service with Alia. She helped me claim a new module against my CPO warranty, ordered parts and get it working in all about 2 weeks. And you can't go wrong with a Jetta I mean come on that car no wonder nothing was wrong with it it just needed a tuneup LOL after all it only had 70,000 miles on it why would my fuel injector go bad that soon. LOL. I really downgraded I had a Mercedes S 500 it costed me about $2000 every other month and it was pretty new way too many upgrades I kept it for a while and then bought my Jetta for a commuter car and man that thing has never let me down 70,000 miles later it is purring now with a simple tuneup. They only good thing they did was get my fiancé and I into new cars. The guy we we're working with was...nice enough. The day we got my fiancé's car he was very nice accommodating, and informative. Next came my car. Asked me to come ASAP to sign the loan contract. So pack up my 1 month old drive 35 minutes down just to sign a piece of paper. Wasn't even picking up the car that day! Guy then asked me to bring cash for my down payment, $3,000 in cash? The day we get my car (2 days later) he informs me they can't find my extra key or owners manual, I it must have been "misplaced". Okay fine. After almost 2 hours of signing everything, he says hey guys I have to go help these customers real quick. 45 MINUTES LATER, he's finally done sending these guys off in their new car while we're still waiting again with a 1 month old baby. read more

They tried to block me from buying a car because they did not get the sale. I am 52 and have bought a lot of cars. I went to Roger Jobs first to buy a 2015 VW Toureg. I was met by someone that was so inexperienced that I finally just gave up and walked away. I found an Ap called True Car to check on pricing and immediately contacted by Mark @ KarMart. He said they had the car and could do the deal. I went in on a Saturday, tested it and decided to buy it on the spot. Then the games began. The back and forth deal with the sales manager. I asked him if he was going to play that game and he said he would not. Yet, he did and he would not honor the price that was already given because he said they were in short supply and were not being made any longer. As soon as he said that I walked out. Why would VW not make a 2015 vehicle any longer at the beginning of the year. I checked with other dealerships and they said that was not true. I contacted two other dealerships and the model I wanted in that color was only at KarMart so I made the deal but they would not release it for sale. They knew I wanted and decided to not let it go. Finally I tried another online car Ap and it connected me with Pignataro in Everett. The deal was better, the vehicle was available and the salesman (Erick) was awesome. We love our new Toureg and just completed the VW survey. The salesman lied about features on my vehicle, he was very very push and demanding and was working while he was sick which meant myself a very pregnant at the time got very sick!!! Their maintenance department is not well run. My husband was there for something that should of taken 40 min and they took 4 hours!!!! I won't be bring my car back to them. Okay, so I am not a car person. I have no idea about anything to do with cars and barely drive. While my husband's car was at our family friend's business getting some maintenance done, it was noted that there was an error code that came up having to do with the LED lighting system that controls certain lights in the car. Then my husband and this family friend went on a trip to Portland and noticed that the blinker light in the passenger side mirror was working intermittently. This family friend said that he'd heard some good things about Karmart, and to take it there to have the repairs done since it was still under warranty. My husband asks me to take the car in. I do so and say that there's an issue with the passenger side light in the mirror and that it tripped some error code while work was being done on it. The guy behind the counter asks me to test it, and it was at that point that I noticed that it was working properly, which was pretty annoying. He drives it to their service area and I sit in the waiting area. The guy comes back and says that they compared the light to his car, which happened to be the same make and model. Okay, even as a non-car person, this seems super dumb to me since I had mentioned there being an error code. It becomes really apparent to me that they aren't plugging their computer stuff into the car to check anything. So I tell the guy that there's paperwork in the passenger side seat that specifically says what the error code is. The guy comes to me ten minutes later and says that the error code isn't an error code anymore and that everything is fine. The guy pointed out where my car was parked and they didn't even give me any paperwork. A week later, we take the car back to the family friend to have something installed in it. The error code is still there. The lights have started to work intermittently again. We're going to go back to the place we bought it from, because there's no way I'm taking it back to stupid Karmart. Going to Karmart was a HUGE waste of my time, especially since I live 30 minutes away. And it will probably be a huge waste of your time too if you bring your car in to be serviced. UPDATE: We took our car to the dealer that we purchased it from and they immediately found a short in the electrical system. They replaced the LED lighting system and some wiring in the headlights. read more

There's no talking these guys down so the price on the window is what you pay. I have known heard of them taken some of my younger sailors for a ride and give them a high interest loan and overpay if the sailor didn't know any better. If you're in Montana resident or in Oregon resident they will not extend tax-free to you, but they don't tell you that until the end of the deal. The service department will charge you without notifying you first. They me $76 for an inspection that was covered under their annual maintenance inspection. And when they found damage to the exhaust flapper valve they wanted to charge me $684 to replace A $250 part. It took me an hour to change the part with an Allen key and a flathead screwdriver and a pair of ramps. That comes to an hourly maintenance fee of $454. Karmart is another typical greedy auto dealer and service vendor. Save yourself some grief and find a better spot to buy and service your VW's. read more
