Atrocious customer service and follow through. Save yourself the time and energy and use another company. Geremia is unreliable, slow, and flaky. Our pool pump was damaged in a lightning strike. It has now been more than 6 weeks while we've been waiting for a manager to "approve" ordering a part. That "approval" only happened after an unacceptable level of follow up and badgering by my husband and myself, trying to get status updates and figure out what is taking so long. Contacting the company is useless. 90% of the time we call during business hours, they do not answer, nor do they return phone calls. They also do not respond to email messages (still waiting on a response to an email from a month ago). Worse, after calling numerous times to try to get Geremia back on track, the company set an appointment for a tech to come out to install the new part today. I rearranged my schedule and work location to ensure I could be home for the appointment. Yet, the technician never showed. I've called repeatedly and yet no one is answering. read more

I had a simple 5x20 lap pool redo and $36,000 later, the spa doesnt work and Geremia charges to "service " their product that never worked. expensive and product not delivered ( in years past at another home I had a full sized pool and beautiful five foot waterfall for less than half the price). Finance demands payment by cash/check before anything is done so the customer has no financial leverage when work isnt done the various departments dont communicate - the electrician has no idea what the installers did; the scheduler has no idea when/why the person due at 9am isnt there by noon, but the finance person is sure to charge for every breath taken read more

Over a year with zero contact/call back. The tile is FALLING OFF! Concrete is crap. Whether is North Bay or whomever they sold to, it's just terrible. Geremia built our pool in 2021. Just before warranty expired in 2024, we discovered a leak in the plaster on our Cabo Step with rust working its way from rebar in gunite to plaster surface. After two months and threat of suit, a tech came out and made a plaster repair. Less than a year later, the rust spot and pinhole leak reappeared at repair site. They kept no photos or other records of the repair. I have it all. After multiple calls to Frankie at the office who needed to "refer the warranted repair failure matter to her manager and the owner" ..."and I'd get a call back by end of day," they are now ghosting me. No return calls after 3 add'l messages left over 2 week period. Apparently, Geremia was sold to a new owner in 2022 or so and things have gone downhill. The repair supervisor and tech who made our repair are no longer with the company after less than a year. Apparently ignoring customers is their new modus operandi in hopes they won't sue. i do not recommend this company for pool build, remodel OR service. They now have a two star rating for a reason. Geremia pools was very quick and easy to work with. Jeremy gave me a lot of information and provided me a quote in a timely manner. Other places that I asked for quotes took a week or so to provide a quote. While I was getting quotes Jeremy wasn't pushy and just sent a couple follow up texts. Once we decided to move forward with this bid, everything moved really fast. They got the permits in a little over a week. And it was off to the races to get my pool built. Marlon was kept me up to date with every step on the build. Our pool isn't huge but they built it super quick the whole process took less than a month! Disappointed and Frustrated with Geremia Pools. After receiving their final payment and getting the city sign-off, Geremia completely vanished. There was zero follow-up or support after the pool was built. Communication was abysmal -- they would schedule meetings and never show up, with no explanation or apology. The concrete around the pool was damaged during construction and, despite multiple requests, they never came back to repair it. Not once did they take responsibility or even say sorry. It feels like once they had their check and the job was technically "done," we no longer mattered. I expected a professional company to stand by their work -- sadly, that's not what we got from Dallas, or Warda, or the new management. read more

Initially I had some issues with the salesperson, but after speaking with the owner and the salesperson about my concerns, things got ironed out. The saving grace afterward was working with the construction manager, Marlon...he was great and made sure we were taken care of once the project got underway. He was great with communication, the workers were AWESOME and true artists with their trade (concrete, tile work, excavation, etc.). The workers each time always put the fence back in place, picked up any trash, swept and hosed down the front of the house, sidewalk and street ... another company who is putting in a pool down the street does very little clean up...I'm glad we didn't use that company. Anyway, the final analysis is hubby and I are very pleased with the final product. read more

Extremely poor construction management, skipping quality standards where possible and ultimately when failures arise Robbie lies & delays, and or outright will not take care of the repairs. This is now the Geremia name... maybe not 50 years ago when my grandmother's pool was built but today it's a shell of its prior reputation. If they don't immediately take care of repair, just do yourself a favor and sue them in small claims court or hire an attorney immediately. I have a large section of slab where the industry standard is to use rebar and they use no rebar. Also, an industry standard is in the summertime to ensure that the dirt is wet prior to pouring concrete while they poured nearly dry. Now there's lifting and pulling of that concrete over an inch and a half up in the air and an inch and a half back away from the joint. Robbie solution was to fill it with caulking. Obviously that is not acceptable solution so when Robbie announced the sale of his company, he promised me that he would take care of the concrete repair in September. It is now November and I can't get a hold of him any longer. read more

We have had 2 pools previously built by the Geremia family! Terrific service and pools were beautiful. We had Geremia build a new pool a couple of years ago (gorgeous) and followed up with new patio, landscaping, putting greens, redwood vegetable/fruit planter boxes, gas fire pit and an amazingly beautiful landscape Mediterranean design that we love. We also had them install a beautiful lighting system around the entire back yard! We already had Geremia Pools service our pool weekly to keep it in tip top shape (which they are very attentive, friendly and always on time!) The backyard was finished in the hottest part of our summer ('23) and a couple of plants didn't make it. This was no problem with Brandon, Dallas, Eric and the landscaping team. They adjusted and replaced a couple of our plants with ones better suited to the location they were planted originally. We are on a constant vacation with our pool, beautiful landscaping, evening lighting, putting greens and planting different herbs, tomatoes, watermelon in our planter boxes! TERRIBLE service. They put in our pool years ago so I called to get some equipment serviced. First when you call their service division will not take a call. They refer you to a web page to submit your service request. Three days later I get a bid for pool cleaning package WHICH HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT I WAS REQUESTING. I couldn't call them to discuss their mistake because they do not take calls. A couple of days later I get a follow up email checking my interest in their bid. I couldn't believe it. Once again, I did not want a cleaning service I needed my equipment repaired. You really need to drop the automated communication and pay to have someone available to speak to a customer. We learned from one of the "Geremia Pools and Landscaping" tech's trying to get our new Geremia pool functioning correctly last month (July 2023) that we are one of "The Problem Pools" that were built during the pandemic. Our self inflicted nightmare started in March 2021. It is now been over two years, and very expensive, and we still have problems. I have only swam once because every time I look at the pool, it reminds me of a big disappointment. We are contemplating next steps. We were also informed last month there are new owners at Geremia. So the Geremia family members we had been trying to work with, have all left one by one after making promises that were not kept. I literally talked with one Geremia family member one day and the next day I was told: "Oh, he left the company." This happened twice! I left a message with the Service Manager, but no call back. In 2007, they built a masterpiece at our last house. Unfortunately that clouded our judgment and we did not research them before our 2021--2023 build. Boy was that an expensive mistake on our part. For our current mess, we paid every invoice on time, so our challenges are not about money. Our problems are about poor craftsmanship, poor communications, and our misplaced trust in a contractor that has shown us, they do not care at all. On a positive note, the birds love the birdbaths left in our concrete pool deck as water ponds when it rains or we wash it down. The final straw for us, is when we received an email from a Geremia office person last month, that our "pool problems are because it is in the sun." Who knew pools should not be in the sun? Geremia certainly knew that when Geremia designed the pool & equipment package, in the sun! Even if that was true, why did they NOT tell us about this nugget of information before we paid everything in full? BTW, I have the email in a frame in my office if you do not believe me. If you have had a good experience with Geremia, that is awesome. Like I said, at one time they were good. But I personally wold not trust them to do anything. BEWARE! Do NOT do business with this company. I've never written a review but this company has been the absolute worst. They remodeled my pool last summer (2024). While the install itself was okay, everything was downhill from there. First, the little things. They sold me on an automated system that enabled remote control of pool equipment, only to tell me AFTER the installation and during the start up service that my pool pump was not compatible with the system. No big deal, right? As a customer, I would have wanted the benefit of knowing if I was going to have to spend an additional $2k to replace the pool pump. Would I have done it? Probably. The fact that they withheld that information was red flag #1. So after the install I had a system that I couldn't operate remotely. The start up and project completion was also amateur hour by them. They didn't walk me through how to operate the system or how what equipment did connect to the system worked. They told me to connect the system to my phone using an app and establishing an account on the control panel. Nothing worked and they were not helpful in helping me troubleshoot. Well, I find out on August 1, 2024--ONE YEAR LATER-- that the reason nothing worked is because they didn't give me the bridge that connected the control panel to my router. It was inside the control panel the whole time, behind na panel that I needed to unscrew, still in bubblewrap. The other reason I would stay away from this company is new ownership. I signed my contract right before the transition, but the transition was underway by the time the remodel was complete. Where this business stinks and deserves negative stars in their customer service post remodel. One of the spa valves (connected to that expensive automated system) broke in mid-April 2024. I contacted Geremia and the soonest they could get someone out was May 17th. They communicate only via email. No phone. Their service guy, Jordan Woods, was the absolute worst (he is no longer there). It took more than a week to confirm the May 17th appointment. He would always respond with I have you down tentatively for the 17th. Even the week of the appointment I was still down as "tentative." I am either on your schedule or I am not! What was so hard about confirming an appointment? The tech arrived on the 17th to confirm I needed to replace one of the valves. He said he needed to order the part and would reschedule the repair. It took 10 weeks to "reschedule" the repair. I finally got them out today, August 1st. Their service scheduler ghosted me for a month between May 17th and June 17th, never responding to any of emails requesting to confirm a follow up appointment. On June 17th I decided to pay them a visit. I found Jordan Woods, who was surprised to see me. Well, he contacted the technician and arranged for him to make the repair that day. Two hours later I get a text from the technician letting me know the part was not available, even though it was supposedly ordered back on May 17th. The technician said he ordered it. I didn't hear back from Geremia after this. In early July I got a call from Geremia letting me know they were going to schedule me. It took a month, but they finally got out, even though they missed their first appointment earlier this week, which prompted me to again visit their HQ off of Howe. The best part was when they told me they still didn't have the part, even though it was supposedly ordered on May 17th and June 17th. This company is a mess. I would stay away. If you have any issues after an install, good luck getting repairs completed. What you don't want is an issue that threatens the integrity of the pool. I waited 3 1/2 months for one repair. Stay Away, and as other reviewers write, be thankful if they never respond to requests for bids. This is the absolute worst business I've ever done business with an regret spending what I did on the remodel with them. read more

We started our pool remodel when the company was owned by the Geremia Family. Halfway through the project they sold to another construction company. The pool and landscape came out great. Our concrete work is another story. They promised to fix it and a year later we can't get ahold of them and have no hope in getting anything fixed. 12-07-23 I have been w/Geremia for over 30 years (New Pool, Remodeled Pool & Pool Service). In November 2023, a different Pool Cleaning Tech showed up at my house AND on a different pool cleaning DAY--I received NO notification of these changes. I left a message & emails regarding the lack of Safety for us, our dogs & our Home. *The new Pool Tech could not get in bcuz he did not have the gate code! Day before Thanksgiving, Geremia took $200 from our account--we already paid our monthly service for November!! Geremia reimbursed, however, on December 1, they took $220 from our account. NO NOTIFICATION regarding the increase from $160 to $220 for monthly pool Service. After all the calls & emails to Geremia, I decided Geremia's Pool Service Manager is incompetent. (He kept blaming a new computer program). Not once did he call me & provide his name (His name is never indicated on any e-mail). I am angry that I was treated with NO REGARD as a long-time Geremia Client....but mostly because the new Manager never had the COURTESY to return my call & BLAMED the computer as the problem (LACK OF RESPONSIBILITY). Pulled $140,000 trigger, lol, after lots a Shopping, fact-finding and diligence I decided to put my trust in Will P. and Geremia Pools. I grew up in the construction industry, specifically structural concrete. And I know how difficult the scope of work is, and I absolutely did not want to be in the situation dealing with a company that uses subcontractors. I wanted to know that at the end of the day if something went South, there was one company to go to and it's hard to find a contractor that does their own excavation shot Crete and finish work all under one roof. some of these reviews were a slight deterrent, but at the end of the day, knowing the construction trades and all the variables, the reassurance that Will provided me and my wife along with the beautiful design sent me at easy. Will came out to our home in Sacramento three times, to specifically Taylor oddball details that were important to my wife and I. Thank you so much Will, my wife and kids and family. Geremia built our pool two years ago, 2021, and we are still upset about the quality of work. Every single phase of the project had issues.They even dug the pool incorrectly, it was three feet too short. We had to bring it to their attention and have them look at the plans.The built in spa was also measured incorrectly.They switched materials on us, instead of having a pool coping that was tile, they used concrete. The concrete was repoured more than once in certain areas. Concrete and coping look terrible. The coping has cracked and was stained because a worker left a box on it for weeks. We definitely did not get what we paid for. The Caribbean shelf has no lights or jets, so it constantly needs to be brushed. We went with Geremia because of their reputation, but we are sorry we did. While everyone has their own experiences, I will say that Geremia FAR exceeded our expectations when designing & building our Land Park pool (incl. solar & hardscaping). Not only did the entire project run smoothly (good design iteration, fair costs, good communication & coordination, timely completion & no budget overruns), but the employees (incl. management) went "above and beyond" (really rallied) to complete our project in ~2 weeks LESS time than projected so that we could host my father's 80th birthday party in our backyard (with folks flying in from all over the country). It meant a lot that that mattered to them as much as us and we are forever grateful. Read those "1 star" reviews, folks! This is NOT the Geremia of 20-30 years ago. High employee turnover with constant shifting of blame and responsibility between themselves in their toxic and incapable environment, as we had problem after problem, with denigrating bereft communication from folks who take more vacations than days I've been in this pool! They eventually started blaming us for what was their poor materials and workmanship. We paid 6 figures to this company, and they acted entitled to our grace very shortly after the project began, particularly as delays, concerns, problems, and non-responsiveness came up. The more problems we had, the longer (WEEKS) it would take them to return repeated calls and emails. An estimated time of completion should not be off by 300-400% (it should not take a year to put in a backyard pool). The inspector even broke loyalty, "You need an investigator with as poorly as all this was handled." I'm a little surprised they have not decided to take the family name off the business, with the notoriety this is earning them, but at least it allows consumer's shopping for a pool company to find authentic concerns like those posted here and elsewhere! I told him we were targeting 65k, (pool and spa combo) He spent an hour plus penciling out a design. I get the bid which includes almost 3k in travel time to shingle springs with a bid of about 83k. The other bids came back at about 70k, and 58k. Guess what... I am going with the cheaper pool. Then I get a text that says I am going to be on the news with Call Curtis and emails me an article from 12 years ago about Pool Disasters. So I spent an hour with my wife reading Gerimia's bad reviews to reassure her that Gerimia did not guarantee there would be no issues. After rejecting Gerimia's bid, Ray requested a $300 charge for sketching the pool. This sketch was for the BID there was no previous indication there was going to be a charge! Now he sends me the following email. *************************** do the right thing Peter send a $300 check for design services provided to date (consultation and preliminary scaled concept drawing) Ray Schwartz Geremia Pools 7901 14th Ave Sacramento, CA 95826 If you'd like, consider it a design fee deposit. For an additional $300 I'll generate the necessary drawings and specifications pages for your permit process And provide as many copies as needed. You will still need to provide Engineering, and pull your own permit. You will need to provide me an accurate copy of your Plot Plan (parcel map showing as-built conditions with house and septic identified) From that I can complete the mapping needed for your permit submittal. The 2nd 4300 would be due at that time. If you decide to proceed with contracting with Geremia Pools (which I still will hope for) consider the $300 paid up front as down payment. Working with Geremia Pools and Landscaping has been a nightmare! We began our project in 2021. It is now 2023 and we still have an incomplete front yard, backyard, and new pool installation. We have damage to our preexisting property and many defects. Very few things went smoothly on our project. When we signed our contract, their website quoted a 10-14 week pool build time, boasted about their expertise, the number of years they have been in business, the quality of their work, and that they do not use subcontractors because "building a quality pool means never taking shortcuts, using subcontractors may save builders money, but it also means chances for mistakes. We don't take chances with your project." Our experience has been that Geremia representatives are difficult to get on the phone, do subpar work, use subcontractors, and our contract for the pool was just under 6 months not 10-14weeks and they still weren't finished six months after our contractual end date with no updates on a new projected end date from them. THAT IS A YEAR AFTER BREAKING GROUND WITH NO POOL!!!. We have long cracks all over our shotcrete pool shell that have been tested by an engineer and found to go all the way through. Geremia offered to fix the pool cracks with epoxy injection which was referred to several times in my research as a "band aid fix". This pool is supposed to be brand new! We wanted to test to make sure there wasn't an underlying issue with the shotcrete itself or the soil on our property that could cause continued cracking in the pool that may result in a leak and/ or may have required a change in the engineering of the rebar or shotcrete strength. Geremia didn't want to test anything. Our site supervisor didn't meet with us before our project began, never responded to a single email I sent that I can recall, and was rarely on our property to oversee the work being done or address all the issues. I was the one reporting issues. Unapproved deviations were made from the plans including attempting to install our skimmer in the wrong location, building a wall in the wrong location, and installing an unnecessary electrical outlet under our water spigot which was a safety concern. There were additional safety concerns and liability risks for us because they didn't have up temporary fencing to keep people out of our construction site, their subcontractors didn't put up cones, fencing, or caution tape around our fresh concrete in the front, and they weren't going to do a second inspection of our ground bonding after ripping out the first. There were issues with our design plans that leave us with bubblers in our cabo ledge that will not function as they are supposed to, a bench in the deep end that we did not want and were told is required by law (which is not true), and we had concrete columns floating over our waterline where swimmers could hit their heads. I asked that the wall be moved back far enough for the columns to sit back flush with the edge of the pool to eliminate the safety hazard and was told that could not be done because it wouldn't pass code. A city inspector confirmed that was not true. Brandon Ellis, who we were led to believe is a Geremia employee, hired an unlicensed company to do our dig (which he has been cited for through the CSLB). We were sent a duplicate invoice for payments already submitted and invoices for work not yet completed in full and with defects. Several of their reviews are written by employees, family, Facebook friends, etc. without disclosing their associations as required by the Federal Trade Commission. I could go on and on about this company's unscrupulous business practices and poor workmanship! We were not able to use our backyard for 16 months and we still don't have the benefit of any landscaping or use of our pool (if that is what you can call it in its current state). I am back to a dirt lot which is a worse position than when we started. They have not been out to do work on our property since approximately October of 2022, have not actively worked with us in the testing of our property to determine the appropriate path of repair, declined mediation, and threatened to send us to collections. We have had to spend tens of thousands of dollars hiring a lawyer, an engineer, a pool expert, and company to test the shotcrete and soil. Where do I start? They never answer the phone and when you leave a message you don't get a call back. I wanted them to give me an estimate on some pool repairs and NEVER mentioned a service fee until the person was here. I did go through with the repairs only for the item to stop working again and then I'm told that there's no warranty and if that's not enough, there's ANOTHER service fee to come check it out and additional costs to repair again. read more
