This is a very nice looking store... very high end appliances, knowledgeable sales people, willing to negotiate (it pays to bring your smart phone and show Internet prices), so the buying process went very smoothly and we were pleased. What Gerhards needs work on is their CUSTOMER SERVICE! I won't get into details because at this point it does not matter and I'm not going to say the customer is ALWAYS right but I think a store of this caliber should at least listen to the customer's complaint and try to work out what went wrong. We had a dispute over the delivery date - the items arrived earlier than expected and we were not ready. The first time I phoned in I was told "Don't yell at me - I didn't do anything wrong" by the guy who answered the phone. Then I was sent into voicemail. NO one got back to me. The next day I called again and was again sent into voicemail. Again, no one got back to me. So that afternoon I went in and the attitude was that they had no fault and it must be my error. There was not even one offer to look into the matter, sorry for your inconvenience... etc. It was simply that I must have made a mistake. I think this is what bugs me the most - the automatic assumption that the error was on my part and no one would even bother to call me back to figure out what may have gone wrong resulting in me having to go in person. Had they been a bit more understanding and just worked with me in a professional way rather than getting defensive from the get-go I would have been more satisfied with the whole experience since this was an expensive purchase for us. Now all I am left with is a huge appliance we don't need for a month in an awkward place and a bad taste in my mouth. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. We ordered a dishwasher which was delivered almost 10 hours late. When they were installing it, they kept saying they would not be able to fit it in the space. Instead of providing good customer service and making alternate suggestions, the installers put it in crooked. We asked for directions for the first run and they tried to show us and the dishwasher wouldn't start. They told us to flip the breaker and that it would work, but they left before we could do so. The dishwasher never started. This was a Friday, so on Monday we went to the store to discuss the issue with the manager. He told us that he would "see what he could do". By the following Friday, we still had not heard from him. On Monday, we called the store and the told us they were "waiting on the manufacturer" to be able to remove it. So we were supposed to keep a non-functional product until he said the manufacturer called the store back or something?? The issue went on much longer, but essentially we decided to get another model and have it installed with another company. I have had bad experiences with Gerhard's in the past and would not ever use them again, but recently contacted a place called "Fast Appliance Repair"and set up an appointment. This is Gerhard's doing business under another name and again, terrible experience. After giving the customer service agent the model and serial number of my range and telling her exactly what was wrong, when the technician showed up he had none of the parts with him. When I inquired why we had bothered with this visit he answered, "I don't know." So . . . I took off from work for someone to come over and tell me my range was broken after I called about a broken range. A subsequent call to customer service was equally unsatisfactory. read more

I replaced an expensive fridge with the same fridge, but new model, and after putting it in the installers told me it didn't fit and I would need to get someone out to fix the problem. After 2-3 months, tons of calls, numerous broken appointments, etc etc it was finally taken care of, but apparently now I owe $200 more. After I refused and tried to talk to the person I bought from I got a letter from a collection agency. No number of calls by my wife and I have gotten this taken care of.. What a bunch of rip off artists. I'm on the west coast and I've only bought one particular product from them because we needed this one ADA compliant appliance that they happen to carry. One of them broke down after a couple years so I went back online, typed in the model number of the unit and followed the link to their website and voila! There it is. Add to cart, pay, wait. A week past the promised delivery date they show up at my business and they guy acts like his truck is going to get towed outside if he doesn't hurry up and leave. I told him I had to check to make sure it was ok and he assures me it was and if there was anything wrong with the item, they will pick up and return it. I open it after he leaves and it's the wrong thing. I call the company and I get transferred around and I finally get to someone that handles this issue. They hear me out and then insist that I ordered the wrong item. We're talking about 2 entirely different type of appliances but made by the same manufacturer. They transfer me to a customer service supervisor who also insists I ordered the wrong thing. I explain again that I'm not clicking around their site browsing for stuff. Not only is this guy the customer service supervisor but he also claims to be their web designer and he supposedly checked my visit to their site for the order and said I was on the page for the other item. After arguing with these idiots for 30 minutes, they couldn't care less. They have our money and they're not going to do a thing about it other than accept a return if I pay for shipping to and from them again. $200 each way which is almost what the unit cost us. They are one of those businesses that have no sense of customer service. Without a doubt, I will never do business with them again. read more

Our refrigerator, only 6 years old, died. The repairman said it would cost more to repair than replace. Decided to try Gerhards in Ardmore as it is close by. Had very specific size requirements to fit into the kitchen. We ordered it and it was delivered in two days. It did not have all the features of the stainless one from the sales floor. My husband stopped by the store to inquire, but the salesman was not there. Told the person there the problem and said he'd tell the salesman. Returned to the store to find out the other items were ordered and shipped to us. Very pleased with a pretty painless transaction. read more

If it was possible to rate this company negative stars I would. They left a message saying they were going to deliver the washer and dryer on Monday between 11-3pm. I waited alllll day and finally left my place at 3:15. At 3:20 they said they were on their way. I told them they should have called earlier to let me know they were late. So I had to reschedule. When I spoke to the lady to reschedule she had the audacity to yell at me when I complained that they didn't deliver during the times they said. She said all she could do was apologize but if you apologize with an attitude then it's not really an apology, is it? She couldn't deliver then next day which was ridiculous bc they should have put our delivery on priority since they're the ones who messed up. Today was delivery day. They finally came and the delivery guy was just as rude as the lady I spoke to on the phone. He yelled at me for not making the proper arrangements for the delivery. What proper arrangements? No one mentioned anything about me having to do anything to have my appliances delivered. I told them that since we live on the second floor it would be easiest for them to go through the back way through our deck but he said I should have moved our grill and everything beforehand. Fine. I told him to go through the front entrance which is a lot more difficult. I finally called my landlord to deal with this and he told the guy to just deliver through the front. The guy refused saying I had stuff in the front but all he had to do was ask me to move a couple boxes. After fighting with my landlord and using profanity, the delivery man just left and said he didn't want to deal with this sh*t. At this point we are just going to have to cancel payments and this order because it is ridiculous how terrible the customer service is. There is a reason why this company only has 1.5 stars. Do yourself a favor and order from a nicer, better company who knows what they're doing! read more

They sent us the wrong model dishdrawer. When we called to notify them, they didn't believe it and we had to send pictures of the box, the label on the box, the s/n on the dishwasher and the packing slip. We got that to them within a day. It took them a couple weeks and numerous emails and calls from us to offer a remedy. They would refund 50% and extend the warranty (The model they sent was a cheaper model so the refund should have been issued anyway). We preferred they pick up the wrong appliance and give us the correct one but they didn't want to do that. After we agreed to thier offer, they never sent the refund or extended warranty. We had to stop payment on our mastercard in order to get them to even contact us back. after 2 weeks we finally got the extended warranty...it had the wrong model and s/n on it so it was of no value. Working with them again to try and fix that mistake. They employ employees that care nothing of the customer and exibit the antithesis of customer service. read more

We've bought several appliances for rental properties from them, and the experience has been great. Unlike a bad experience with Hope Depot where they sent out an appliance without the kit needed to install it, Gerhard's makes sure you have what you need, and takes care of the installation without drama. Their pricing is competitive, their sales people are friendly, attentive and competent. I'm a happy customer and will continue to use them for appliances for my own house and for rentals! read more

I hate to write negative reviews - but AVOID this place. I walked in on a Saturday ready to buy appliances for an entire kitchen remodel. The place was empty and with the exception of one person, everyone was standing around. ZERO sense of urgency. I actually felt as though we were bothering them! The individual we spoke to was very nice but new and needed help. We walked around looked at appliances and asked questions, most of which she needed to find an answer ( that's cool..). One obviously experienced man in the store who could have helped her simply didn't care. He spent more time on the phone talking about his kid's softball game and was quite annoyed at being asked to help. His attitude was crap we left frustrated and aggravated. We asked for ricing and were promised a followup by email which never happened. Lousy sales traing and custiomer service. I went elsewhere and spent $42,000 on my applinaces. read more

We bought a washer, dryer, and microwave from here. The salespeople are nice and helpful. However, when the W/D was delivered, the team did not wait to make sure the unit was properly installed and left. The unit gave an error message. I called the store and instead of having the team return (they had left only a few minutes ago), I had to schedule a service appointment. Then a few weeks later the unit gave another error message. Another service appointment. Then the same error message. Another service appointment. At one point I asked the service department if they could just replace the unit as it was clearly defective. The manufacturer was blamed and we were told that was not possible because they would have to "eat the cost." The repair man guaranteed us this error message would not happen again. Well today we got the same error message. Will have to make another service appointment tomorrow. They department is closed today. Every time this happens we have to wring out soapy wet clothes and take it to the laundromat. When we bought the microwave, it was not delivered on the day we agreed. The sales department was apologetic and someone was going to deliver it personally which was nice. I had a very narrow window of time to accept the delivery. Once again it was late and had to be left at the back door. When it was installed they sent an incorrect part and it had to be returned. They did send a carpenter to make a custom piece for the microwave, but I had to pay him too. Also I had to call them because they did not reimburse us for the incorrect part at first. It is my fault I gave this company the benefit of the doubt too many times. There have been too many mistakes with no attempts to remedy them. Extremely unhappy. Will not return. read more

We ordered a refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher from this store on a Friday night, everything was scheduled for delivery the next Tuesday. - Refrigerator is fine - After opening the box, we discovered the microwave had been dropped at some point, was damaged and we refused delivery. They replaced it within 24 hours. - The dishwasher was installed, during the testing, it was determined it was broken. The installer said it would require a service call, we naively agreed and here is the problem. Gerhard's has a strict Fix It First policy. They do not replace delivered appliances. It was exactly one week later, that they replaced the whole motor assembly and the unit worked. If you choose to use Gerhard's please be aware of the following: * Never accept delivery of any appliance which is damaged more than you want it to be. * Do not accept delivery contingent on a "Service Call" * If the unit is faulty, do not pay the installer until the job is complete (meaning a functioning unit is in place) * Once the customer accepts delivery, Gerhard's has a strict "Fix It First" policy. You will wait until the part is ordered, shipped, and installed. Note: In their favor, if the customer does refuse delivery on damaged goods, Gerhard's does seem to get the replacement quickly (For our microwave it was within 24 hours) read more

The worst customer service experience I have received. Got a washer and dryer from here, dryer was on backorder(which they didn't decide to tell me until they delivered the washer). Waited a week later for the dryer to be delivered and took off a day of work. I was told it will be delivered from 2pm-6pm. By 6:30 I decided to call their automated message system which by the way is useless. Their automated machine hung up on me SIX times after going through the prompts. It literally took me over 45 mins to actually get a person on the phone who told me the drivers were an hour out still and that I can have it delivered on Monday. When I asked to have an early slot Monday and explained how frustrated I was for Wasted a day waiting around for the delivery she told me an early slot could not be guaranteed. Should have gone to Best Buy. I will never ever ever shop here again!!! read more

I have been going around in circles with an oven repair for 6 weeks. took 3 visits and 2 unneeded part replacements before they finally sent someone who knew what they were doing and identified part THEY THINK i need. Ordered part more than a month ago. Still nothing. Sent around and around every time i call. They are blaming the COVID-19 production stoppage at plant for delay. Finally I was able to contact the parts distributor they use who tells me this part has been on backorder for months, long before COVID-19. Could have gotten part on Ebay a long time ago. Bad enough they can't fix it but don't lie to me about why. Disgusted. Just called another repair shop now i have to start all over again. read more

I like to warn anyone who may be in the market for a new appliance. Don't consider Gerhard appliances. My husband and I purchase a Samsung refrigerator recently. I notice when the installers had left that there was a ding in the fridge and also the top doors where not even. I called them and they set an appointment for a service tech to come out a week and a half later. When he came he said he needed some washers and he would order them and also a new door to replace the dinged one. About two weeks later the door came in along with washers. They sent the tech out again to replaced the ding door and try and even the doors with the washers. He fixed the dinged door, but the washers did not fix the doors from being uneven. I have since had 5 more tries with them trying to fixed the uneven door. Gerhard has even sent out another install team and they said the issue isn't the washers but spacers that the original installers didn't install the first time. He told the office that they needed spacers to fix the problem and also sent them pictures. They set up another appointment and when the tech arrived he asked me what was the problem with our fridge. He didn't know why he was at my home. Obviously since he didn't know why he was here, he didn't have the spacers to fix my problem. I have since tried to call the customer service line and left messages. My problem has still not been fixed. My doors are still even. No one has returned my call. Do yourself a favor and avoid this store. read more

Bought a GE cafe refrigerator which was quiet (and turned on) in the showroom but has a loud constant humming from the compressor. it is at a pitch that is like nails on a chalk board to me. Let me begin by saying this was my third try ( 2 other attempts at other places) to get an 18inch dishwasher that I wanted. This store was amazing. I called and asked if they had it in stock and they did where as the other two places needed it shipped and then it would take 6 weeks. They gave me an excellent deal on the price and installation without an argument. I received the receipt in the mail the next day, Come installation day ( only 3 days after the purchase) the installer called multiple times. He called in the morning to confirm the appt with me. He called around 12:30 to confirm he was still coming ( our appt window was 12-4). He called at 3:30 to say he was on his way and about 3:45 he called and said he was outside. I would highly recommend this store to anyone and will go back for future purchases. read more

Stressful. Gerhard's has nice appliances: buying from them is easy. But getting the installation...that's where things get rough. In the past 10 years, we have bought a washer-dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator and two microwaves from them, our mixed feelings have come from the installations, which have been sometimes fine, but on two occasions horrible. Recently we bought a microwave; the previous one stopped working after less than a year. An automated system (with a computerized voice) left a message saying that the installation would occur on such-and-such a day between 11am and 3pm, so I took off work to wait. But the installation person did not come. When I called at 3:30 that day to ask what had happened, the woman was surly and unapologetic, and said he was on his way. Only problem was -- at 4pm I had to get my kid from school to an appointment. Bottom line: they are very cavalier with people's time, and maybe it's OK if you are a round-the-clock, stay-at-home person. Personalized service? Not after the sale. I have waited a month to post this review, so that I wouldn't write under stress, but even now, thinking back on the experience, I feel bad about it. By the way, the installation wasn't free, it was $125 on top of the price. read more

I purchased a washer on the phone and scheduled delivery. Went great. Delivery day came and they showed up...a good start...THEN... the drain hose for the washer wasn't long enough so the installers smooshed my washer and dryer as close to the drain as possible and then yanked on the hose until they were able to stretch it to fit. They left. I tried to do laundry and found a bunch of tears in the perforated pipe leaking all over the back side of the washer. I then noticed that when smooshing everything they also knocked my dryer venting system and it was no longer attached to the dryer. Took nearly a week to get someone out to my house -- and the worst part is that they kept insisting they had to send (2) different people which would have required me to leave work twice in one day. I was told I needed a repairman for the washer and an installer for the dryer?!? MAKES NO SENSE why a repairman couldn't have been sent for both jobs. As it went, the repairman who was sent was quite competent and he did both "repairs". Being in customer service and management as well, things like this drive me crazy. Why would you torment a customer by insisting they wait for 2 repair people when 1 competent person could do both jobs?? I will say that the people I spoke to throughout this grueling process were polite. But to spend $1300 on a washing machine and to have to take time off from work three times is just wrong. read more

Don't let the showroom, selection, prices or sales people convince you to buy here. Multiple house calls to replace a part have been ineffective. Company sends out repair specialists who can't repair or communicate. On second visit, serviceman said, "I can't collect payment today." After further discussion we found that this meant,that he couldn't bill us or provide service because his replacement part (specially ordered) was broken. Not sure why he or someone else didn't check this before requiring us to be home from 10-2 on 2 consecutive saturdays. Also inconvenient is that the service department is closed on Saturday and the salespeople have no way to relay messages to them. I tried. Go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get better service. Since i bought our refrigerator from Gerhard's, I called them when the ice maker stopped working. The customer service representative was very pleasant, and a service call was quickly arranged through Fast Appliance Repair. They came and within 15 minutes determined that it was a faulty ice maker, but despite having been given the make and model number, they did not have a replacement part on hand. The part was ordered and arrived promptly but the charge was almost $320 with tax. When the part came, the invoice total on the packing invoice for the part was $82.99. The part was installed in under 10 minutes, but I called Gerhard's to find out why an $80 part cost over $300 to install since the combined on site troubleshooting and replacement time ws under 30 minutes. The service manager, T.J. said there was a $90 service call, a $60 labor charge, $150.98 for the part and tax. I questioned why the part was $150 when the packing invoice showed $82.99. He said he would look into it. When I did not hear back for 2 days, I called back. I told T.J. that the packing invoice seemed reasonable since Amazon showed the part delivered for $64 and McCombsSupply.com showed it for $38.95. He said that their supply charged $150 because they guaranteed the part for 90 days. I said that still didn't seem right because I could by two or three more parts if they broke within 90 days. So he said he would look into it. The next day he called back and said that the charges were correct and there would be no adjustment. When I asked why the invoice was less than the billing amount, he said Gerhard's pays a subscription fee to Fast Appliance Repair to get the 90 day warranty. I again said the 100% markup was unreasonable. So I am alerting the community to a couple of issues. Inflated parts prices, and a labor charge on top of a service call charge even when the work is approved. By the way, the van that repairman used was a Gerhard's van. So is the use of Fast Appliance Repair just a means to inflate the parts billing? Extended warranties at stores do not usually result in a 100% markup, particularly for just 90 days of coverage. So, as always, buyer beware, especially at Gerhard's! read more

I purchased a refrigerator, microwave and stove from this store on June 25, 2020. Following month the microwave & stove was available; however, due to Covid the refrigerator was not. Not once in 7 months had I received a call or follow up from sales (Joanne) or anyone else to provide an update. I called today and found the refrigerator (Whirlpool) was haulted and the microwave and stove was no longer available to me. Originally I decided not to get the microwave & stove when available because I was advised free delivery was a one time thing and when the refrigerator came in I would have to pay for delivery. I chose to wait until the entire order was available. Everytime I called to follow up on the refrigeratora availability I was advised the refrigerator would be available in the fall, near Christmas, after the New year and last sometime in March 2021. While I don't fault Gerhard's on Whirlpool inconsistencies on the refrigerator, I do fault Gerhard's on their lack of customer service. Never calling, never advising the items purchased was no longer available etc....To top things off I am waiting on a call back about the monies to be refunded back to me ($1845.00) after the rep checks with accounting. The call started at 1:56p and ended at 2:08pm, it's 3:08pm now still waiting on that call back. As I stated the customer service is lackluster. Gerhard's pricing is good, but what have in pricing is overruled by the quality of customer service. read more

We visited the store on Grant Ave today to purchase a small freezer. We had been loyal customers recently purchasing a washer, dryer, refrigerator and TV. We went to the store without any research into competitors, pricing etc but to just buy. When we were told there would be a $40 delivery charge unless we were veterans, we replied that maybe that consideration should also go to very loyal customers. They refused to adjust the price or delivery charge. We went home and bought the same unit online, at a lower price and with no delivery charge. Here was a loyal customer, detemined to support a local business that was forced to buy on line by a very disinterested company. read more

Pretty good service experience overall. After searching hi/lo for a microwave online the only local store that had it (22 of them!) were these folks. Without a credit card they shipped one next day to the Ardmore store... almost... it went to Frazer. Called and they said wouldn't get to Ardmore until Tuesday... told them bye bye. Next am they called me said it'll be there in a few hours... and it was. Good price, took it away, decided it was too hard to use (didn't open the box) and returned it on Monday. I do not recommend this service at all. We purchased an entire set of expense kitchen appliances expecting good quality. The oven+range that we received did not work at initial installation, about 2 months ago. They have come out to "service" it four times already, but it continues to not work. The people on the phone in the service department do not seem to consider it an issue that the new range we purchased has never worked and that we have been without an oven for 2 months. When they ordered a part, it took about 3 weeks for it to arrive. When I finally called the manufacturer directly, they informed me that they had the parts in stock and could not explain to me why Gerhard's thought it would take 3 weeks to arrive. We are not sure of what our options are at this point, although they should obviously provide us with a working range given the amount of money we spent on the appliances. read more

I was at the Home Depot near Doylestown and put together a package of a new dishwasher and a new stove. I told the salesperson that I would let them know. As I was driving along Rt611 I saw Gerhards Appliances of Doylestown. I am new to the area and thought I would stop into the local store and possibly use them since they were local as opposed to the big box store. What a mistake that was. First they were supposed to convert the stove to propane which they charged $80. On the day of delivery they said they hadn't converted but would deliver the stove and then send a tech out the next day to convert. Ok not terrible. At the same delivery they also delivered my new Maytag dishwasher. This is where it gets ridiculous! They said everything is installed and in working order. Immediately after they left my wife ran the dishwasher to test it out. The dishwasher would not fill with water. We called Gerhards and they said since the tech was coming to convert the stove he will check out the dishwasher to see what the problem is. He checked it out and said he thinks there is a crack or something missing from the machine. That's when we checked the basement and found out that all the water that my wife tried to load into the machine that first night had leaked out into the basement all over my son's dorm room stuff that was stored there. I called Gerhard's and they offered to REPAIR a brand new dishwasher that I only had possession of for one evening before we found out the machine was faulty. I told them I wanted a new machine and they said no. They then sent replacements parts to my house and emailed and text me over and over telling me to set up an appointment to get the machine repaired. I told them no I want a new machine. If I even showed any emotion to the customer service people they threatened to hang up and not deal with me. They never even asked about the damage to my sons belongings(which I may pursue further) Very callous and rude. I then called Maytag myself and they gave me the same story, that they would repair my brand new machine. I told them that was unacceptable and they wouldn't offer me a replacement machine. I had to call the Whirlpool Corporate offices to finally get someone to sign off on a replacement machine which took almost another month to get. So I have my new dishwasher and also new knowledge that going to Gerhards was something I would never do again and I would never recommend anyone go there unless you want to be treated horribly like I was. They will treat you like a king until you actually make the purchase but hopefully you wont have a defective machine because that's when they get really rude and no help at all. Ends up the machine was missing a seal around the tub that was causing the water to leak out. Whatever the issue was Gerhards had the responsibility to replace the machine and they refused. Several weeks ago I reviewed Gerhard's and wanted to follow up. I gave a negative review after picking up an over the stove microwave at their Ardmore store. I took it home, planned a day to have someone help install it, only to discover it was scratched and dented. I called twice that day (Saturday) and left messages with no return call then sent email and heard back on Monday after weekend. I suggested they deliver another microwave and pick up the damaged unit. They would not do that since they pay $40 for delivery and there wasn't enough profit margin. They were willing to make a first-time customer a last time customer. I returned the unit and received a refund. After my review someone from the store reached out through Yelp and asked that I contact them. After several attempts, leaving my number, and not being called back, I called and spoke with someone. They asked how they could resolve this and I told them they could deliver a microwave. They would not do that since it (now) costs them $60 to deliver. I explained that it cost me far more than that to take time from work and return the damaged microwave and that $60 was a small price to pay to keep a customer. Plus the inconvenience of having someone come to my house to hep install and wasting their time. True, I choose to pick up the original unit to save on delivery. True, they did not know the unit was damaged and apparently don't check. So the loss is all mine in time off from work because they they won't take a small loss for future potential gain. Sounds shortsighted to me. It's microwave not a fridge. Throw it in the backseat of your car and deliver it on your way home. Apparently they understand profit but not customer service (which do not need to be antithetical). So my original review stands. I won't buy at Gerhard's and can't recommend them to others. I wish it were otherwise. In the meantime I bought a counter top unit until I can get an over the stove unit somewhere (unless Gerhard's decides to drop one off. I'd even consider paying for installation). Just so happens that there is a large company that has the exact unit for $12 more than Gerhard's but free shipping and easy returns. If it's damaged I drop it off at a UPS drop point around the block where I live. I had hoped to go local. Guess that won't happen. read more

We purchased 4 appliances from Gerhard's for a kitchen remodel. We paid full price for an expensive stove on September 2 which was finally delivered February 5. We were not upset about the long delivery time as things slowed down with Covid BUT communication was poor throughout the process. At one point I asked to speak to our sales person's (Nicole Powell) supervisor who is Linda Gerhard. She assured us everything would go well with the stove delivery even though the refrigerator delivery had damaged our brand new random width, real wood floor in December. Besides damaging the wood floor, the delivery man actually threw the metal hand truck out the door onto our patio with no regard to where it landed. My husband and 1, along with 2 of our contractors were there for the delivery and we all saw what happened. Our sales person asked for us to send photos of the damage and a bill for the repair. Weeks went by with our phone calls not returned and then we finally got an email from Anthony Paolucci, the delivery manager, saying " I am sorry to inform you, but my contractor is denying this damage claim. He dropped off the unit in December 2020. We did not move the unit once it was dropped. This definitely looks like it was damaged by your contractors or the people who installed this sub zero for you. You can tell by the marks on the floor that they were made once this unit was being moved." Not true. When I have called... and emailed... both Nicole Powell and Linda Gerhard to get this resolved, I got no reply. When the stove was delivered the accompanying French plaque which was a separate purchase arrived in a torn and crushed box with the plaque chipped in many places. Before it was loaded on the delivery truck, ANYONE seeing the box would know they should check in the box to see if there was damage. This meant another month to wait on a replacement. In addition, the stove which was supposed to include a conversion kit to covert from gas to propane was delivered mid afternoon on a Friday with no kit. Several of us (delivery men, our contractors) spent a hour looking through all the packaging for the kit. The stove couldn't be installed by our waiting contractors without the kit. I called Gerhard's and was told Nicole was busy with a customer (as usual) but I insisted we had a delivery problem and needed help late on a Friday afternoon. She said our contractor could come to the showroom and get the floor model's kit. This solved the problem but meant additional time for our contractor and late installation. We now have our 4 appliances and plaque. But we can not get a return call or even response to an email about our floor damage. No acknowledgement that several things about our purchases have not been handled well. read more

I purchased a GE stove and Dishwasher from Gerhad's on 12/10/18 and delivery was scheduled for 12/18/18. On the morning of 12/18 Gerhard's showed up and the delivery guy asked me if anyone called to let me know that the dishwasher was not in the warehouse. He told me he only had the stove because I bought a floor model dishwasher it never made it to the warehouse. He installed the stove and I made some calls and rescheduled the delivery of the dishwasher for 12/20. Inconvenient but not the end of the world. On the morning of 12/20 the same delivery guy showed up and said before we do anything let me check the inside of the dishwasher to make sure the parts needed to install it are there. He came back in the house and told me they were not and the store would have to order them. Unbelievable! He also made a suggestion that caused me to switch brands from a GE to an LG. I drove to the store and spoke with the manager Matt and told him the story. He took $75 off and told me it would be refunded to my card in 2 days. We also arranged for the LG dishwasher to be delivered on 12/22. On the 3rd try they got it delivered and installed. Today is the 28th and I have called twice asking where my refund is and am getting the runaround. The appliances work great but Gerhard's doesn't make them they just sell them, and so do a lot of other stores. These people are clueless. Last time I shop there. read more

After a debacle with Lowe's, I decided to check out Gerhard's due to a friend's recommendation. I check out their website, call up the store, and a real live person (Lee) picks up! Instead of transferring me to a department where no one picks up the phone, they answer my questions and take my information. Lee tells me they can deliver the washer and dryer as early as Wednesday - a mere 2 days instead of the 3 weeks Lowe's would have taken to special order the washer! He goes over the models numbers, the name of the appliances, and gives me a price break down. The total was cheaper than Lowe's even after a 10% off sale and 10% off mover's coupon. He emails me the order information, so I could review it and get back to him. The next day I call back and once again, a real person answers right away! It's Lee again and he remembers me. He takes my order and I get a confirmation right away. So in summary: - real people - phones are answered - quick - good prices - good customer service I'll update after the delivery, but so far, it's been a five star experience. read more
