I have spent $12,000 on appliances at Gerhards. After so much money and having bought ALL of my appliances (almost twice) in 5 years, you would think that I would get good customer service. The short answer is NO. Be very careful when dealing with them. The service department is very DISORGANIZED. Steve (the service tech) is really sloppy and does not check appliances after installation to ensure proper function. Their relationship with Whirlpool can't be that great because there is absolutely no level of service there and you, as the customer, are left managing the back and forth when issues come up. I bought $2400 KitchenAid fridge that had a bulging door which caused significant rubbing and scratching to the other door. AFTER 7 MONTHS, this issue has still not been resolved. Why? Partly because Whirlpool doesn't package their merch well and partly because Gerhards is just not that good at anything other than carrying the products in their store. I thought that dealing with a family owned company would be a good thing and in this case, NOT AT ALL. I spoke with John Gerhard directly who didn't even have the courtesy to follow up on my issues after repeated attempts to just get answers. They are amateurs. If you are planning to spend a good bit of money on appliances, I think you are better off somewhere else. The store seems nice enough with decent looking appliances/displays. Unfortunately, that is where "nice enough" ends and REALLY BAD begins. We purchased 2 high end dishwashers with large $50.00 rebate stickers posted on the display in the store. Still haven't gotten the rebates, after 8 phone calls. It is now 4 months later, still no rebate!! Told conflicting stories about why and when as well. When the installer came, he had his "friend" help him out that day (I believe he was not employeed by Gerhards), and they disconnected/broke a pipe that had water all over our newly refinished hardwood kitchen floors! They asked if they could come back the next day to install the second dishwasher because the sub flooring was too wet and needed to dry out. I was the one who decided to run a fan after they left to help it dry out. They also used every towel we had in our possession trying to dry up this colossal mess. To make matters worse, one of the dishwashers came missing the pot scrubber attachment at the rear of the dishwasher It took weeks and way too many phone calls to have them correct that. I'm still waiting on the rebate(s), but have gotten SO FRUSTRATED (so and so will call you back--he won't be in until Friday, etc.) that I felt I needed to post this review. I really hope Gerhard's reads these reviews and get their act together. Judging by all of the other one star reviews here, it doesn't appear they care very much either way. Absolutely terrible experience! Whirlpool sent me to these clowns to have my over the counter microwave serviced. A technician came out and literally hooked up an iPad to the microwave for about five minutes and told me my microwave needed to be serviced or replaced. I paid him $105 to do this! The tech than told me that his company would install a new microwave for me if I purchased one. I told him to have a rep call me the next day so I could possibly purchase one. The next day after not hearing from a rep I called this location and talked to an extremely rude female who told me that the tech had no idea what he was talking about and this company would not come out to my area to install anything. So, the bottom line is these crooks got me for $105 and left me hanging with refusing to come back out to my area to install a new purchased microwave. Don't you people want BUSINESS!!!! Today I left work to be home at 10 for a refrigerator delivery. Refrigerator came at 10:30 but the delivery person told me that he could not remove my OLD refrigerator without the kitchen door being removed. I found that odd since when my old refrigerator was delivered, no doors needed to be removed. He told me that he would be back that day as long as it was before 7 pm. and to call Gerhard's when the door was taken down. Okay, this is not my field of expertise so I had a friend who is a carpenter come and remove two doors. I called Gerhard's immediately and left a message that the door was removed. I waited for 2 hours. I called back and was then told that Gerhard's never makes deliveries to the same location twice in 2 days. He lied. I then called lovely Rachel in customer service who told me that she did not believe that this was told to me. Gerhards lists inventory on Amazon.com that they do not have in stock and that their manufacturers no longer manufacture. They do not update their on-line inventory. They do not cancel an order when (if) they realize they cannot provide it. They do not respond even after you call them. Gerhards is a bad vendor and does not deserve to be in business. There are enough people in the same business as Gerhards that you can easily find someone else to buy from. read more

I ordered a cooktop from Gerhard's via Amazon. After a week, no confirmation, I called them. They didn't have it, it's out of stock and out of production. They said they would call me back. A asked them to cancel the order. They didn't call me back, and they DIDN'T cancel the order. I spoke to Amazon about the problem. Amazon didn't bother cancelling the order either. After 30 days the order FINALLY timed out. And guess what? The cooktop is STILL LISTED ON AMAZON's site as available. Maybe if you go into their showroom, you can successfully do business with these people, but you should NEVER TRY TO DO BUSINESS OVER THE WEB WITH THEM. read more

We purchased all our appliances from Gerhard's but no more. Wanted to stay local but purchased a W/D for our new home and what a mistake. Could not get hot or warm water to washer. After a plumber and Gerhard's repair person, no answer. The 2nd call for service ended with repair person hanging up on me. He had no idea what was wrong and DID NOT want to return. Also did not ask anyone for help. The customer service manager, when I wanted to return the machine for one that worked, said They " well that's not going to happen". Told me it must be set to heavy duty to get warm water as the efficiency rating based on not allowing warm water on regular settings. Now why wouldn't the repair person know that???!!! Not only that but between August 1st and February 19th I called repeatedly for an operation manual. Always assured it was coming and still nothing. REALLY bad service. Horrible company. We bought a very expensive oven. It did not hold temperature. The salesman who sold it to us would not return phone calls or emails. When they finally sent someone to service he was unable to fix oven. We asked for it to be replaced and was told to go to the manufacturer. They were unpleasant about it. So here is the thing. Bought all my appliances from this store for a new house. Broken microwave was delivered which they said they would deliver in next two days. Nothing came in. Called again. Oh they thought I would pick it up. No problem, we will change it to be delivered. Another few days. Nothing is delivered. Called again (5 days in a row, same story). As with other reviews, I wish I checked this site before going to Gerhard's. We purchased a double oven and microwave wall unit from Gerhard's in Ardmore, PA on April 15, 2018. Gerhard's installer, Gio, put it in shortly thereafter. After about a week, we began having electrical problems. We had an electrician come out and were told that Gerhard's used the wrong gauge of electrical wiring to install the oven and microwave. We called Gerhard's and they had a service technician come out who confirmed that they used the wrong electrical wiring. He said they would schedule a time to fix it. Since then, we have called over a dozen times to find out when it would be fixed. We are told each time that they understand the problem and they are working on it. We are told someone will schedule a time to fix it or we will get a call back by a certain day. Neither has occurred. We have tried to convey the safety risk that the electrician warned us about. This week is five months since our purchase. After multiple phone messages and an email, TJ Scully from customer service just called to tell us it is not their problem and, if we want it fixed, we will have to hire an electrician on our own. Their installer claims he didn't put in the wiring. He just attached it to whatever wiring was there even though it was the wrong gauge. read more

Easy to purchase... absolutely pitiful service. Impossible to schedule someone to repair a less than 30 day dishwasher. Was told (via text from a 3rd party vendor) that someone would be at my house between the hours of 6:27PM and 9:27PM! How convenient. Waited 4 days to get a text 10 min before the service department closed for the day. I recognize that Gerhard's did not manufacture the machine. I ordered a LG Fridge for my kitchen for 1500.00. The sales guy told my husband and I it will be delivered within 7-10 business days, which was fine. This gave us plenty of time to get the waterline we needed ran. Needless to say after 12 days no refrigerator. I called on day 13 and a rep told me my fridge was not due to be delivered for another 2 1/2 week!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why would he tell me 7-10days. So it takes a month to deliver a refrigerator... Then I said I want my money back, I can order the same fridge somewhere else and get it here sooner. He goes on to say since you paid in cash we have to issue you a check which can take up to 2 weeks.... FUCK GERHARDS I will never recommend anyone there. I ordered a dishwasher from them and honestly their store sales people were, ok. Not good nor bad, they got the job done and I was in and out quickly. The issue was the delivery and installation. I purposely went to Gerhard since they were a decent size company (they had multiple locations) and were in Philadelphia (were I lived) so I thought they would understand the complexity of delivering and doing work in the city as I live in center city in a condo. I was told that Gerhards would have their in-house installer do the work and it would not be a contractor which I confirmed twice with the sales guy. I purposely scheduled a delivery and install for Saturday as I work during the week and it not easy for me to schedule time off. Well the delivery guy came within his window and called me and said he would be in my area within 30 minutes. 40 Minutes later he called him and said he was outside, I figure he needed me to show him the path to get into the building. However I go down and do not see anyone at my building's front entrance, instead I see truck double parked in front of my building. Not sure if it was the Gerhard installer or someone else as the truck had no signage on it stating Gerhards nor any other company name, I walked over to the truck and the driver lowered the window. He confirmed he was from Gerhard and proceeded to ask me where there was parking. I informed him that there street parking and there some lots around. He immediately started raising his voice saying if there no parking right here is not doing the install and I should have had parking. I told him nobody informed me it was my responsibility to arrange for parking nor have I had any other trade give me issues about parking. I've dealt with multiple companies over the 7 years living in the city including Lowes nobody has stated they needed me to provide parking. The gentlemen finally stating rudely that I was out of luck and wouldn't get the dishwasher and I would need to reschedule the installation. (Seriously, I waited all day for this installer and now they tell me they needed parking and if not they would have to reschedule). I spent a good amount of money for this dishwasher and right away went back inside and called Gerhards and told them I wanted my money refunded because this service was not acceptable. The sales person I got asked me if he could call me back while he looked into it, which he did. He called me back and apologized and stated that the truck the installer brought was too big and he couldn't find parking and asked if they could reschedule for Monday or sometime during the week when it easier to get parking. I relented as much as I should have held my ground and stated I could arrange to be around Monday however I needed to leave before 11:30am so if they could get someone in first thing in the morning and get done before then that be fine. He promised me that it would only take an hour to install and he would be there in the morning at 10am. On Monday I waited for the delivery guy and it got to be 11:30am and finally the installer called stating he would be there in 30 minutes. I told him I was promised he would have already been done by now and he told me he was told my windows was between 9am to 1pm and he just finished up another job in Bryn Mawr. So obviously nobody communicated to him how important this delivery/installation was. Not wanting to have to deal with rescheduling for the installer, I called the person I was suppose to meet and canceled with them and waited for the installer to show up. He finally got there an hour after he originally called (12:30) me as he stated he fit traffic (fine, there was a presidential candidate in town and I know she was out with her big entourage). He gets up to my floor and I immediately understand the other gentlemen mentality as my neighbor has a dog who was barking. The installer said oh what you have a killer dog and I replied it was my neighbors and my apartment is right here (opposite side of the floor from the dog), his reaction: "Oh good, otherwise I would have told you we need to reschedule". If this was a joke, it was seriously not funny. He comes in with the appliance and he wanted to first see the old unit and asked me to empty the cabinet that had the plumbing for the dishwasher which was under sink. Simple enough, however once he looked at the empty cabinet it stated that the job was suppose to be 150 however because I didn't order a hardwired unit and my old one was they would need to put in a outlet and it would cost more. There wasn't any information for extra costs and said the 150 included everything. If there additional costs fine but include it as it in a pricing chart. The Installer proceeded during the install he would get calls from other installers or his dispatch. Apparently the had forgot about jobs or lost equipment. After all the work the install ended up taking 1 1/2 hrs. I found out he was indeed a Contractor and not an employee. read more

Add me to the list of disappointed and angry customers. I don't like to complain. The delivery of our washing machine was problematic. nothing but complaints and confusion from delivery men and then an unapologetic response from the salespeople. The deliverers complained that our basement steps were too narrow, had my wife removed a railing, didn't know they also had to remove older washer. Complained the old washer was too heavy so they refuse to take it. They said it was full of water ( I emptied a pint of water). When my wife asked how to get rid of water they told her they didn't know. I called the salespeople who made all kinds of excuse. He made an appointment for them to pick it up but I then received an additional charge without notice. I refuse the charge. I'd rather pay a trash company then spend another penny on this company. I incorrectly believed that a local company would provide better service. I am going back to the "big box stores". Lowe's people were much more professional and attentive. They even walked my wife through how to use the various appliances they delivered. I should have looked at yelp before making a purchase. My friends are voicing their complaints about this company. As i read these YELP reviews, it's funny that all of these seem to mirror mine.... I would give these folks zero stars if possible as well. All in all, my dissatisfaction has to do more with the service and professionalism of Gerhards than anything else. We completely redid our kitchen which was a full gut job. We purchased appliances from Gerhard's mainly b/c the guy who helped us was John Gerhard along with it being a family owned business in the Philly area. The young lady who dealt with us after the order was sold was Rachel, who was always helpful and nice to me. Pricing was on par with what other places were offering. Issues began w/ delivery. The guys showed up on a Saturday in July to deliver all 4 items (Fridge, range, dishwasher, microwave) and there was no fridge, no microwave. Range was dented in several places. So we took delivery on just the dishwasher which had a strange smell to it. We set up another delivery date on yet ANOTHER Saturday in July to take the remaining items. When they showed up, they had the fridge and the microwave, no range.... So we set up a 3rd Saturday in the summer to be home and held hostage by these deliveries to receive the range. This wasn't the end of the world but we had to cancel plans to go on vacation for the weekend and i really felt like it was an inconvenience of having to be around b/c of mistakes not caused by us, not to mention we had to tip the delivery guys each time... it wasn't their fault Gerhards screwed these things up. My Kitchen was being demo'd at this stage so the appliances sat until around Halloween 2013 when they were finally installed. By spring 2014, we had Gerhards out to fix issues with the Range not firing up, fridge, dishwasher. Needless to say, i wasn't crazy but i wouldn't blame Gerhards for bad Whirlpool items... I do expect them to stand by them. Fast forward to October 26 2014. We had company over and our new stove would not fire up.... AGAIN. We called Gerhards they said they'd send someone out. When they guy got here (an hour late), he told me my warranty was up and it was going to run me about $200 to get this issue fixed... Needless to say, that was unacceptable considering that this was the same issue they "fixed" several months earlier.... I called Gerhards, and they basically told me to go pound sand. They gave me Whirpool's # and to call them. To boot, Gerhards, sent me a bill for $79.45 for the technician to come out..... I ended up calling Whirlpool and they couldn't have been nicer. Sent out a guy to fix the issue, which was way different than what Gerhard's guy told us it was... Also told me it was a "known issues" among these specific Oven ranges... My beef is that Gerhards simply told me to get lost and was ZERO help after i spent $3500 on appliances, $800 on a Weber grill a few months later and then referred my father to them to buy new appliances for his kitchen. Do yourselves a favor and go to Sears. Don't get duped like we did!! read more

Like other reviewers, if I could give ZERO stars, I would. I purchased a high end washer and dryer with a repair plan from Gerhards in 2013. A little over a year later (when the manufacturer's warranty expired) the washer broke. It took over a week to get a repair appointment. The repair tech came, and within 5 minutes proclaimed that the error code meant the door lock needed to be replaced. In the owners manual and on every website I have seen, this error code means that the temperature sensor needs to be replaced. In not one instance, have I read that the error code means the door lock is broken. So, one week later, when he returns with the door lock, guess what... it does not fix the problem, and the washer still does not work. Now, the repair tech says the broken door lock must have fried the main board and we need a new main board. He can have that part in a few days. When I call to schedule the repair for 2 days later, the person on the phone has a huge attitude, saying she does not know how we can possibly have a part delivered from NJ in 2 days (apparently Gerhards is unable or unwilling to have parts delivered overnight, or worse, drive 1 hr to pick them up). Luckily, the part does arrive, and the repair tech comes to replace the board and guess what.... it does not fix the problem and the washer still does not work. He states the problem is the temperature sensor and will order the new part. But, with the Christmas holidays approaching, it will be a while. I call Gerhards 10 days later (because not once have they called me to tell me a part is in, my appointments have only been scheduled because I have called them to check the status of my parts). They will will hopefully have the part by the end of the week ( 2 weeks after it was supposedly ordered). So, I will update this review if/when my washer gets fixed. Thankfully, rent-a-center is a much easier company to work with and delivered a rental washer within one day. They moved my broken washer out to my garage and installed the rental. Take note of rent-a-center's phone number because you will need it if you purchase an appliance from Gerhards and you are counting on them to repair it. read more

I have purchased several appliances here and have never had any problems at all. I haven't even been in their store. My mother bought appliances here so that was recommendation enough. I have looked online and found exactly what I want and called. I usually get connected to a salesman right away. I bought a gas clothes dryer this way first. Then I bought a new dishwasher the same way a few years later. And just a couple weeks ago, I called to order a new washing machine. The delivery men arrive on time and are professionals. I am happy with every one of the appliances purchased this way. I cannot think of another appliance store to want to bother with in Philadelphia. I definitely recommend Gerhard's. read more

The price of the refrigerator was a great price, but customer service sucks. First they don't clearly list the different shipping policies available on the web site so a customer can easily figure out what is included and what isn't in "insured delivery." Second, they don't respond to voicemails or emails to clarify. I finally got someone on the phone who said "insured delivery" included haul away of the old appliance. Unfortunately, when the shipping company showed up (before 6 a.m.!) they said their paperwork does NOT include installation or haul away. When I called Gerhard's to clarify, they told me what I heard from them was not what they told me, and refused to rectify the situation. Basically I was forced to accept unsatisfactory shipment terms of the fridge on the spot. Of course I would never do business with them again, nor their delivery partner AM Delivery. read more

Went to Gerhard's for several reasons: local business, family owned, reasonable selection and prices. Needed a new washer, described my needs, desires and concerns, and was directed to a Maytag product (which coincidentally was being sold with a big promotion). Big mistake. Have had the washer and dryer for 6 weeks. Have had issues from day 1. Have called the service department, which is only open during modified business hours (8:30-5, M-F!). They don't return calls quickly. The sales folks cannot help with any service questions and cannot deal with significant dissatisfaction. The delivery/install team didn't install correctly. The first repair team came - after 2 weeks of calling and no call-backs - overturned our trash can, laundry out of the baskets, didn't fix the problem, left no notification/paperwork anything about what they found or their recommendations. Called several times to find out what was done - no call-back. Went to the showroom, no help, and those team members cannot access the service database. Called some more, was told the manager would call me back - and he did, 5 days later. Had another crew come out, who fixed one of the issues but created another. We have been saying since the beginning that we are not satisfied, but have no response or support from anyone from Gerhard. Might cost a bit more money, might hurt not to support the local economy, might hurt not to support a family business, but the aggravation piece isn't worth it. In fairness, some of the the showroom people (especially the women) are very nice, personable, and seem to know their products. Still - not enough to recommend, or to bring me back there. read more

I went to Gerhards because it was highly recommended. i purchased my first front load washer and dryer and it was installed when requested. Then the POOR customer started. When i went to do the first wash, i realized that the door banged into each other and the dryer door would need to be reversed. i left 1st message with no return call, 2nd call i got a "customer service re" and she told me there would be a charge becauise i didn't request it at time of purchase. I said that was unacceptable could i speak with manager. She said he would call back. he didnt'. I called a 3rd time, got a different person who told me a different story. I said i shouldnt have to pay after the poor service.and different stories. Then the owner called and said he would send someone out if i paid the fe. Wanted to provide an update on my previous review. Gerhard's still won't take ownership of this issue. They are resting it all on Whirlpool. Whirlpool agreed to a replacement, but after 2 weeks of me trying to track down the customer service rep she went back on the offer and only was will to do a prorated exchange. The Gerhard's rep I've been dealing with is out of the office today but I'll be calling back to see what her response is and what solutions they offer. We bought a bed in November and had it delivered. Love the bed, but the delivery left us feeling very unsatisfied with their service. We have a three story house and they wouldn't take the bed up to the third floor. They left the bed, the box springs and the frame in the hall on our second floor. I called to complain and the sales person assured me that the delivery charge would be reimbursed to us via a Visa card. My three experiences with Gerhards are 11 years apart. The most recent is current and my sales person, Matt Ashley, at the Ardmore store has been superb. At every turn Matt was very helpful. He would even go photograph models on the floor to show me details such as how far a door would open and then email me examples. When we discovered a major problem upon delivery ( a design problem having nothing to do with Gerhards) Matt responded with how can I help rather than I'm sorry but that's not my problem. Indeed, in this instance he immediately started sending me examples of alternatives. When one of the appliances was defective (and we learned this before we even moved in) he immediately sent a service person, determined it could be fixed with a major part but then got permission from the manufacturer to swap a brand new machine for the unused one. That is going above and beyond. Perhaps the best part of dealing with Matt is that he is ALWAYS available and responsive. He has been absolutely terrific. read more

Buyer beware. In the market for four new kitchen appliances, prepared to spend thousands. Went up to Ft. Washington to check out their monthly warehouse sale and was given what seemed to be reasonable quotes. Was told that if I could show in writing any cheaper price, they would honor it. So I did. And I was blown off. Not once, but four times. Emails not returned. Calls not returned. Nothing. So I stopped by the Ardmore store to see if I could get anywhere and Rachel heard the whole story, with all the numbers, the original paper with the company quote and said she'd look into it and would call me back. An hour later she phoned to say she had "good news and bad news". The bad news is that she and her fellow sales associate simply decided not to honor the promise. She never reached a manager or the original Gehart family member who made the promise. So I asked her what the "good news" was, and she basically said she didn't really have any. This whole interaction was reprehensible. I will never do business with them (I actually had purchased a dishwasher from them last December) and will never recommend anyone to do business with them. I was happier before I walked into the Gerhards store in Ardmore then when I walked out. I was drawn into the store because of a washer and dryer they had advertised for $647 each in their weekend circular. I went in and right away didn't see the washer and dryer, it was Saturday, the last day of the sale. After a few minutes someone came over and asked if I needed help. I said that I was interested in a washer and dryer I had seen, an LG top loader. I didn't have the circular with me, the sale person said that he would look it up (I find it hard to believe he didn't know what the sales were for the week). He printed out a front loader and said that was the only sale he had. I had to repeat that I wasn't interested in a front loader. So he went back and said let me check. He then came back with a print out of the washer and dryer but said they were $100 more each ($750 vs the advertised $647). He said that they were only allotted a certain allowance and that in order to get the advertised price I would need to bring in the actual ad and then they could "work something out." WOW. I'm generally easy to please, but have been utterly and completely disappointed in Gerhards of Ardmore. This week, I went into the store to purchase a washer and dryer set. A nice sales guy sold me on a great combo, gave me the all inclusive purchase price, which included; units, tax, warranties, delivery and pedestals for the units. He wrote the price and listed the inclusions on a piece of paper with his business card, and told me to call with any questions. I called the next day to order the units, and the salesman whom was off for the day. I instead spoke to a woman who told me that the price I'd given her couldn't possibly be correct, and that I was fabricating the number. Appalled, I called the next day to order directly from the same salesman who tried to sell me the units, at which time he confirmed the prices. As I was trying to buy the units, he told me that he had realized he quoted a white set, rather than a platinum color, but again acknowledged that we spoke specifically regarding platinum, but because of his error, he needed to charge me the additional mark-ups for the units. Meanwhile, I've found the same products at a less expensive price than was originally quoted to me, and will clearly not be purchasing anything from this store, ever, in the future. I understand the error, and the situation, but the unfriendliness of the staff is something I simply can not overlook. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. The idea that an appliance store can take your money, then proceed to tell you the DAY BEFORE your appliances are to be delivered that some items are on backorder (with no explanation other than they weren't available "from their distributor") and won't be delivered for three weeks, is unconscionable. To boot, we were missing an item from the initial delivery that was also "backordered," but we were never told about it. Then, after waiting three weeks for these alleged "backordered" items, the DAY BEFORE the items were to be delivered, I was notified via EMAIL that the delivery would be incomplete (rendering appliances unusable) until the rest would be delivered 2 weeks later. We paid in full literally 5 minutes before getting the second email about our incomplete order. How do items purchased over two months ago become "backordered" when we were NEVER notified at the time of purchased. The nonchalant email notifications were embarrassing, as if any of these delays had no impact on major renovation projects. Unreal! Will never go there again. read more

I honestly am not sure what has happened with this business. When I purchased my dishwasher three years ago, the sales and delivery staffs were great. I purchased a microwave and gas stove last week- what a disaster. The microwave installation was perfect- however, the stove not so much. The one I had was not compatible with my existing "drafting system " ( who knew there was such a thing) so right now my old stove is pulled out and they took the new one back. When I cancelled the order, they wanted to charge me a 20% restocking fee since they had opened the box. Perhaps you should not open the new box before you are sure there is not a complication with the old appliance. To their credit, I will get a full refund. However, I had an incredibly rude sales person who said it was my fault I did not have the right stove. I will never shop there again! It's no wonder places like Home Depot and Lowes are pushing out small businesses. read more

omg -- really. these guys are TERRIBLE. first, they schedule visits and then their guy pretends to call jammed on the road. if you call back w/in seconds he pretends he didn't get the message and youre back to rescheduling. second, if there is a manufacturing defect with a unit, good luck trying to get that fixed. four phone calls and everyone said they'd look into it and get back to me. no follow up. now they won't give me any answers, they wont make any effort. one guy just hung up on me. that's fun -- waste thirty minutes of my time on hold, tell me you'll call me back (yea right) and then hang up on me when i ask for a manager. used to buy everything at gerhards, no more. service dept is the worst. they had a simple fix to make and four service calls later said it was not fixable. bottom line, they broke the washer beyond hope trying to fix it. No money off a new one. Arrogant manager, Not really family owned.....check it out, Whirlpool owns 2/3 of it. read more

Do not buy from these people!!!! There are the worst company ever. I purchased a Washer and dryer from these incompetent fools and I now have a dryer that will not dry my clothes. It was installed on a Wednesday and I went to use it on Thursday and the cloths were cold and wet. I called them on a Thursday to let them know and no one calls me back until Friday. I am told that no one can come out until Monday. I call to complain and I am transferred around and hung up on several time. I finally get one of the Gerhard's on the phone and he tells me that his technician was going to leave early on Saturday, but he would have him come by on Saturday as his last call between 11AM-1PM. I wait all day to get a call at Noon to tell me that the technician was tied up on service calls and they would send him Monday. I told them that this was unacceptable and that I waited all day for nothing. They call me back a half hour later to tell me that the technician had a family emergency now. GERHARD'S APPLIANCES SUCKS AT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! read more
