This place was great when I came in and wanted to trade like, NOW. I didn't want to wait tomorrow, or next week.... I wanted to trade in my POS for a BMW. They gave me what I wanted. Three months after purchasing my used BMW I noticed the brake lights burning in my face. After bringing it back to the dealer to have it inspected I was told after a whole 3 minutes of looking that I needed brakes...ALL of them. It was going to cost over $3k. I almost passed out. I couldn't believe this was happening to me. At least my 'P.O.S.' never gave me problems like this! I had to negotiate on the phone with service and they finally made it right and comped the work for me. A few months later my BMW died in the parking lot. Then it did it again somewhere else. Then a third time. Do you know how embarrassing it is to be sitting outside the mall with a Beamer broke down with the hood up? My goodness. I had to have it TOWED back to the dealer. Again. The verdict? My battery was dead and it cost a mere $350 to replace it. I wrote to corporate pleading for help or some kind of empathy. There was no response. After these two debacles I haven't had an issue. I love my car, but would I trust BMW Naples again? Maybe not. read more

I live in Palm Beach county, so I had my father who lives nearby go in and evaluate a CPO vehicle found on autotrader.com for me. He let the manager know I would be trading in a lease car and was referred to a salesman to continue the deal. A sales price was agreed upon and a signed purchase order was sent to my bank. After driving 150 miles with my wife and toddler I arrived with a bank draft in hand to finish the deal. I was immediately low balled on my trade $800 from what carmax had appraised my vehicle for. I reluctantly agreed to come out of pocket on that to make up the difference. Every car I've traded in the past, I have been told by the dealership to go to carmax first and they would match the trade appraisal, as if it were the gold standard. After another hour, just before meeting with the finance department, I was informed that they had incorrectly calculated the sales tax and I was to pay another $800 dollars. The only excuse I was given was that it was "The computers fault." One would think that after the manager and salesman knew a customer was driving in from over 2 hours away the numbers would have been verified. Not the case. After nobody (manager included) accepted any responsibility for the error, we made the 3 hour drive home without our new vehicle, leaving a truly horrible experience behind us. To say that I am extremely disappointed with the way this was handled would be an understatement. read more

My experience with Gemain BMW dates back to 2008 with Mr. Oblinger. From reading some of the recent reviews, it appears there may still be some deep rooted issues with this dealership. My story is as follows... I purchased a used 2006 Audi A3 remotely from Michigan and flew to Florida to drive it back. Upon my arrival to Germain, I noticed a very large dent (approx. 12") in the passenger rear door with paint damage on the quarter panel, door, and door molding. (I still have pics) Mr. Oblinger assured me this must have just happened, and that I could wait to have it repaired or he offered to give me a signed "IOU" so he could reimburse me to cover the cost of the repair. We needed to start the drive home for work, so we left with the "IOU". Soon thereafter, I went to a local Audi/BMW body shop for a quote. I supplied their quote to Germain BMW, and they scoffed telling me that there is no way it cost that much. Fair enough, as it was only one quote. So, I took the time to get a total of FOUR quotes. One of which I wouldn't trust working on an Audi. All quotes were in the $1600-$2000 range and 5 days to fix. Mr. Oblinger and team indicated that they think a paintless dent repair could fix it. Problem is, the paint was gouged (as in GONE) and the sheet metal had a hard crease. No sure how paint could be repaired with PAINTLESS repair. Just to be cover all my bases, I also went to a paintless dent repair and they confirmed it couldn't be fixed without paint work. Now, all these repair facilities took a significant amount of time to detail the repair needed. Mr. Oblingler had a quick glance at the damage and that's it. His teams estimate for repair was not though or detailed. I sent Germain BMW very detailed images of the paint damage, and one shop even outlined where he would have to blend the paint and all steps necessary and why. I tried to have Mr. Oblingler contact the bodyshop, but he refused. Germain knew I was too far away so they decided not to honor their IOU. In the end, I was offered only enough money to have paintless dent repair completed, and declined. A business's true colors show when unfortunate incidents arise. They either rise to the occasion or push the burden on the customer. Why should a customer have to pay for the damage they admittingly caused? read more

We went out car shopping this weekend. My fiancee got a promotion and while we will wait for the first big paycheck or two before we purchase, we wanted to be well informed. We are looking at small luxury sedans and started at DeVoe Cadillac with the 2.0 liter turbo ATS sedan. I am going to refrain from reviewing the car or the particular salesman because each salesman has their own style and it would not be fair to judge the dealership on the antics of one salesman, noting that there was no particular issues with our salesman (he was very friendly, as salesman should be!). Nevertheless, quick comment on the car. The ATS-V is a twin turbo and car and driver magazine says it kicks the M3s butt when it comes to performance vs. price but both the M3 and ATS-V are out of our price range. My mother works for GM and I was really hoping to persuade my fiancee with the Cadillac ATS sedan, but she did seem to enjoy the ride on the BMW 3 series a bit more and we had them at the same price range. Pretty sure the ATS turbo is faster, but we are looking to buy something with longevity and something with a solid drive (like her old Volvo S40, we do not want the Chinese Geely, who now owns Volvo, and plus you cannot get a new S40, lowest is the S60). I drive a Chevy Cruze and my fiancee complains it feels too plastic. She said the Cadillac ATS felt better than the Cruze, but still lacked the solid ride she had with the S40. The BMW 3 series impressed her with its solid ride. This dealership is also very new and remodeled inside. The only complaint I have is that it seemed as though we were forgotten. After explaining our priorities to the salesman he said he would be right back and it took a good 15 minutes before he was right back. It was probably because he learned (1) we were not likely to buy today and (2) we were looking at the lower end of BMWs price spectrum. He also talked so much during our test drive that he was essentially just repeating himself. He was knowledgeable and I have yet to spend a lot of time trying to debunk his sale pitches, but we will see. Nevertheless, he was friendly and despite the extended wait before our test drive, the test drive was a good length and allowed us to get a feel for the car. The 3 series also has a more spacious backseat than the ATS. The dealership is clean and spacious, both inside and out. We have had better dealership experiences and generally one would expect the BMW dealership to provide service on a equal or better level than Cadilliac, but I am not sure that was the case with the dealerships in Naples. read more

My wife and I were SO impressed with the staff we interacted with today. The two young "geniuses " who gave the overview of the car, systems, user interface; , Jake Spooner and Anthony Costantini, were fantastic. They were articulate, and clear in their communications, accommodating in every way possible (coming to house to connect the garage door opener!-). Never have I been so belittled and disrespected in my whole entire life. Walk in to the lot to upgrade my current 5-series to the newer model and got greeted by the excuse of a man by the name of Sal G Blasi. Told him I wanted to test drive a 535i and he insinuated I couldn't afford it, so to understand things correctly I confronted him and asked if he just said I couldn't afford the car, he smiled. I turned around and left the most upset I've been in a very long time. He was rude, wasted my time, asked if I could even afford the car I wanted to test drive in a demeaning way. Germain BMW of Naples is NOT the place to purchase your BMW. They are quite cocky and full of themselves and they are barely willing to negotiate on prices. The will claim they are giving good deals, especially on Demo vehicles, but if you do your homework with other area BMW dealerships, you will quickly realize that Germain BMW is not actually competitive at all with their pricing. They balance themselves on the edge between fake-nice and snobby, so beware when spending too much time considering their "best offer." Use this place to test drive the vehicles and figure out which you want to purchase or lease... and then 100% go elsewhere to close the deal. From the start GERMAIN has been horrible to deal with. We bought a brand new X-3 and from the beginning the systems don't work properly. Driver profiles disappear, the liftgate opened by itself, from one time driving to the next mirrors change position etc. Everytime we take it in they say the systems "work as designed"! Well, I'd like to talk to whoever designed it. Now, the staff there are rude, inconsiderate and could care less whether you return or not. We have even written letters to the principal owner and yet this car remains a frustration. I would definitely look at other BMW dealers or better yet, a different make of car/suv. I leased a BMW X3 back in December of 2017 which was a loaner with 4k miles on it. Yesterday Memorial Day while driving down Tamiami Trail at 55 mph my left rear tire blew out making a loud noise. I was fortunate to be across from a Pep Boys that was open on the holiday. They examined the tire said it would be $212 to replace with a run flat tire however the car only has 8k miles on it. That of which I have driven 4k in 6 months and that this was not due to debris or road hazard and I should take it to the dealership. I used my sos service and spoke with a BMW rep which they informed me I could drive on the tire up to 50 miles at 50mph and to drop it off at the dealership 40 miles away. Since it was a holdiay they were closed and I would have to leave the keys in a drop box. Now with no loaner and no way to get around I had to uber it home $40. Today I recieved a call from the service advisor informing me that it would be $345 to replace the tire. I asked to speak with the service manager in which they claimed the blow out occured because of a puncture and additional tire damage. (Occured due to driving on the tire after it blew out for 40 miles as advised by BMW) As mentioned above I had immediatly pulled into a Pep Boys at the time of the incident and was quoted $120 less to replace and that it was not caused by debris or road hazaed and was a defect. After speaking with the service manager he informed me that there was nothing he could do and I would have to pay full price for the tire $261 and he would waive the labor cost which was still$50 more than Pep Boys. In a addition due to no loaner and vehichle I had to miss a day of work trying to get this resolved. As a valued client who leased a service loaner from them I would expect a dealership and brand to stand behind a vehicle and product 5 months after being leased. At a minimum pro rate the use of the tire for 8k miles driven minus its life expectancy of a new tire 35k-40k miles and charge 22% of the replacement cost which is $57 not $261. I advise to not do business with this dealer and service department that refuses to do the right thing and only cares about lining their own pockets. I expect this dealer to do whats right, not take advantage of their clients. read more

This review is service call related. I called my service advisor to inquire about the costs of specific things I needed for an older M3. To summarize, they would be happy to replace my belts and pulleys for a mere $1300. A thermostat and coolant flush is a bargain at $884 using their gold infused coolant. I asked how long will the coolant flush take. He told me 4 full hours. I guess they have to make sure the radiator and the block are super dry before pouring in the super exotic coolant. So I proceeded to ask him how much a SMG pump replacement would hit me. Not bad at $6,400. Granted the pumps are a bit rare nowadays, but they want $5,000 for the pump and $1,400 for the 7 hour labor. A grease monkey like me can get to the pump in less than an hour and a half. I've done this to get to sensor buried under the intake manifold before. To remove the pump is so easy if you have the proper tools and a lift. Programming it is a breeze if you know what you're doing. So in summary, either this service department likes to take advantage of unknowing customers with deeps pockets or the techs don't know what they're doing. Either case, I would stay far away from this service department even in an emergency. Because if you are in an emergency, the more reasons you can't say no to their prices. Sad that this is the only dealer/service dept in Naples and I've read of not so favorable things about the other dealer in Fort Myers. But don't fret, there are other independent shops in the area who can do things at a fraction of Germain's prices. There are are also BMW mechanics who work at both dealerships in the area who do work on the side. Problem is, they're very busy and getting an appointment with them is difficult. But my recommendation is to stay away from Germain BMW's service department. Can't say anything about sales. God forbid I'd want to buy a new BMW. I'd rather pick it up in Germany. read more

Rian in service has been very helpful with my 2015 428i. Had Dinan exhaust, Dinan Stage 1, and M Sport brakes installed. Everything went smooth and is working great. I purchased the car at Ft. Myers BMW because they had a great "pre driven" deal on the exact color and options I wanted with only $5k miles. Germain has probably made more profit on my $6000 in upgrades than Ft. Myers did yet I can't stop in for free car washes. Just a strange policy for a luxury product. Audi and Lexus always wash your car no matter where you purchase. Even Ft. Myers BMW will wash a Germain BMW car for you. read more

Took my wife's x3 in for service today. Had an appt for 11AM. They had told us on the phone the work would take 90 minutes. Place was very busy when i arrived. They took the car right in. The waiting area is great. Comfy chairs, tv, magazines and tons of drinks and snacks. The car took less then the 90 minutes and also they did a complimentary car wash. Great place. Went in for an oil change and a recall on the air bag. Somehow, they managed to ruin my brakes at the same time. They pretended to not know what I was talking about, but the brakes made a loud an obvious noise the moment I turned the car on, while I was still there. I had to go somewhere else and pay even more to get the brakes fixed, because this place would probably pierce my tires if I went in to get the brakes fixed that they somehow broke in the first place. Even more shady, they called me about the service, and I thought that maybe they would actually listen and offer to fix what they broke. NOPE. The whole point of the call was to persuade me that I must have been wrong. No offer. No apology. Nothing. Don't talk to me like I'm deaf and expect any more of my money. Rob Becker walked me through leasing my first BMW and I could tell he is very knowledgeable and passionate about the brand. A couple weeks ago, I hydrolocked my engine after driving my vehicle through a massive flood on 41. The service guys took care of my car and I got a new engine replacement within a week! I moved to the Naples area from Denver and I was told that this is one of the BMW shops. I was definitely used to great service at Ralph Schomp BMW in Denver, CO. So my bar has been high for the last 14 years as a BMW owner. However, my experience at Germain BMW has been very subpar. The service tech I got didn't know anything about BMW CCA membership and refused to provide the 15% discount that BMW CCA members. And on top of that he kept mentioning that their parts and service cost is lower already, which there was no way to compare to their list price. Within two days after my service, one of the issue with my TPM sensor came back on. I am not even sure if this actually looked into. I am going to give them one more chance to fix this, else I am going to look at either Ft Myers BMW or a local service shop that deals with European imports. read more

I went to Germain BMW for an oil change before leaving Florida for Boston at the end of the month. After oil change, my advisor handed me a slip of repairs that he said were critical to have done before leaving or I would be in grave danger of brake failure or being stranded on the side of the road. I was offered a rental car & was told they could do a brake job & repairs immediately. I left and went to another mechanic who inspected my car and frond nothing wrong! BMW did the same thing to me last winter. They are simply trying to cover overhead with unneeded repairs. Stay away. read more

I had a service appointment to change my oil, get the air and micro filters replaced. I also asked them to change out my right passenger light bulb as the parking light had not been working for like 5 months. They did all the service within 2 hours and were awesome. I told Ron Arnold that I had come all the way down to their dealership from Fort Myers because of an incident that I had had with the BMW dealership in Fort Myers. I told him how much I appreciated their work and all the smiles that I received. 4 days later something happened to the front passenger headlight. I brought the car back and talked to Ron... He then spoke to his supervisors. We worked out an amicable solution where everyone was happy. They gave me a loaner car (a 328i), and a few days later my car was ready for pick up. I could not be happier to have a dealership that has my back when something goes wrong. They really care about their customers. I will definitely drive by the BMW dealership in Fort Myers and continue to take my 650i to Naples. They make you feel like the customer is their number one priority.
