Johnnie is superb. Always takes care of my 2005 VW Touareg, which is a rarity. And at prices I can afford!

Over the past 10 years or so I have brought all of my vehicles to Myers auto... I can't even count…read morethe number of cars to be honest with you... Normally, I have dealt with a service writer named Ben at the Andover location . Ben was always extremely professional, friendly and fair. I have the absolute highest respect for Ben in fact. Unfortunately, I guess he is no longer at the Andover location... In late May of this year I brought in one of my vehicles for a sagging parking brake cable. I told the service writer what the problem was and wanted to know what it would cost to get it fixed. That was it.. I left the car with them and when they contacted me back they had looked at every fluid, filter and tire you could imagine. I only wanted to know about the parking brake cable. I was told it would cost over $500.00 to replace a cable that only cost about $180.00, or I could pay $178.00 to have it zip-tied up to the frame. I said that in that case I would just come pick up the car in that case, but i still owed almost $200 bucks for the 3 minutes it took to zip tie up the cable...I know your time is valuable and I would gladly have paid $178 for your labor to replace the cable but saying that it cost $178.00 to diagnose and zip-tie a sagging cable, which I pointed out in the very beginning?? That is a job I could have done from my own driveway... It seems a bit excessive... Anyway, long story short, I realize I had signed your work order and I was responsible for the bill so I paid it, but I will read the fine print more closely next time.. Nonetheless, This latest experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and in the future I will be taking my 5 different vehicles elsewhere... Thank you for your time and for giving my this chance to air my complaint... I sincerely wish you and service centers continued success, but you have priced me out of your customer pool. I really miss the old service writer (Ben)... I have a feeling the outcome would have been much different. It was great customer service that made me a regular... Times are changing i guess... Good Luck

Anyways, Carmax warranty use Meyers as one of the approved repair services. I had noticed a slight hesitation between 1-2 gears. After the diagnostic turned out needing a new transmission. Since it was such a costly repair, the warranty company needed lots of proof prior to approving. Meyers was very patient working with the warranty company providing them with everything that was requested. Would definitely recommend for service!! I will continue to use the Derby location for the convenience and professional service!! Thank you all!!

Their warranties are not tricky or confusing and they stand behind all of their work. The customer service is exceptional. They can and will fix your car. If you've been places that give you the run around or have been over charged for sub par work, I recommend taking your vehicle to any Wichita AAMCO and letting them service your vehicle. They have rebuilt my transmission, installed a new radiator, new AC, fuel pump and so many smaller items. The work was done accurately, efficiently all while ensuring I was well informed and satisfied with every aspect of service. They test your car before it's given back to you ...the quality assurance here is amazing. I will continue to take my vehicle to AAMCO here in Wichita because I honestly don't trust anyone else and I can guarantee you won't find this kind of service anywhere else in Wichita.

UPDATE 11/18/25: After my original review, the new owner, Mher, reached out to me personally in…read moreexactly the thoughtful and respectful way he described in his response. He was kind, genuinely apologetic, and took full responsibility for what happened. He also mailed me a check covering half the cost of a full set of replacement tires I purchased elsewhere, which I truly appreciated. During our conversation, he explained that since my 10/16/25 service, they've implemented a completely new system for managing service tickets. Instead of different mechanics handling different tasks on the same car, one technician is now assigned to oversee the entire job from start to finish, including quality control and final sign-off. That change directly addresses the issue that led to my situation, and I'm glad to hear they're taking it seriously. My original experience was upsetting and created real safety risks while I was traveling alone, and I stand by how important it is for shops to be vigilant--especially with something as critical as tires. But I also want to acknowledge when a business steps up. The owner's follow-through, professionalism, and commitment to improving their processes made a difference, and I appreciate the effort to make things right. I hope the new systems and leadership bring this location back in line with the honesty and integrity the Christian Brothers brand is known for. In October 2025, Christian Brothers East charged me over $1,000 for a full 4-tire replacement--but never actually replaced my tires. They kept my car all day, told me everything was done, and sent me on my way. I discovered I didn't have new tires after all two days later, 750 miles away when my tire pressure light came on during a solo road trip. A Firestone mechanic confirmed my tires were old and called the CBE manager, who refunded everything (including an inexpensive filter charge). I appreciate the refund, but this created serious safety risks and stress--especially since I was a woman traveling alone through remote areas. FYI, this location is under new ownership and feels disorganized and poorly supervised. It's disappointing, given that the Christian Brothers brand emphasizes Christian values, honesty and integrity. So disappointing. My past experiences with Christian Brothers WEST were excellent, but this East shop is not living up to the brand's values. Verify your service carefully before leaving this location.

When I took my car in I told the technician I thought it needed a new purge Valve Solonoid according to my Diagnostic Checker. Tech told me they would need to do their own Diagnostic Check and that would run $185. On top of that it would be parts and labor. When it was all said and done I was charged $961. $361 of that was for the part they needed. As I did some research the OP/994-917 part was readily available at just about any NAPA store for between $120 on the Low Side to $175 on the High Side. Definetaly less than a $200 part. Kansasland Andover marked this part up over 200% On top of that They charges for 1 hour of Labor at $210 / hr. I'm ok (sorta) with the labor charge. Thats why I brought it to a professional. I'm also (sorta) ok with Kansas Land doing their own Diagnostic. But to upcharge a standard $150 part to cost $346 is simply gouging the customer. I will never be back. Lost a good customer today forever, all becuause of price gouging. Sales Person was C. Thomas.
