This is the sweet spot inside this market place, with oh so many homemade chocolates, fudge, hard to find old fashioned candies, rows and rows of bagged sweet treats, they also sell Asher's chocolates and right now the store is well stocked with a great selection of Easter candies. This alone is enough excuse to get many in trouble, but add in rows and rows of homemade jams, apple or pear butters, fresh nuts galore, dried fruits and so many snack options. On top of all of this they have so many different pastas, some fresh and right out of an Amish kitchen in Lancaster. How can one not go crazy shopping with all of this temptation? Oh wait, I'm not finished! You name it, they have it when it comes to spices, herbs, cereals, baking goods, they have a large organic selection and yes, some even gluten free! They make their own nut butters, right in the store, with peanuts, cashews or almonds and they have a great variety of honey straight from Lancaster. My sister originally purchased a Too Good To Go order with a pickup window of 9 AM-4 PM. We arrived around 3:30 PM, well within the pickup window, and were told they had no cookies left to give us. This was confusing considering the business doesn't close until 10 PM. They told us to come back another day, earlier. While we were there, we decided to give the place a try anyway and purchased a cookie, milkshake, and coffee. Unfortunately, all three were mediocre. We came back today to use the Too Good To Go order. Since it's a 30-minute drive, we called ahead to make sure they actually had cookies available before making the trip. The girl who answered the phone had a very dismissive attitude and told us they only had one Too Good To Go order available for the day, which seemed strange considering multiple orders are offered for purchase through the app. When we arrived, we were again told they didn't have the order available. Instead, I was offered three-day-old cookies. At that point, I had already spent around $10 on the Too Good To Go order and made the drive, so I took them rather than leave empty-handed again. The entire experience defeated the purpose of using Too Good To Go. If a business offers a pickup window, customers should be able to pick up their order during that window--or the order should be canceled/refunded if there isn't enough surplus food available. Between making two trips, the poor customer service, and ultimately being given three-day-old cookies, I was extremely disappointed. Based on my experience, I would not purchase a Too Good To Go order from here again.

Trying to avoid sweets and not finding anything savory in the rest of the farmers market, I dipped my toes in with a simple ham and cheese croissant. Loved it and regretted not buying other things. The following week was the opposite, I craved something sweet, and I knew what it was going to be, chocolate croissant.... I had seen the baker finishing these the previous week, the dark chocolate glistened while drying in the shop. My mistake was buying just one. The size rivaled the savory one, and on closer inspection I noticed that it had been cut in half horizontally. It was filled with delicious chocolate mousse, and the top layer of chocolate was as good as it had looked. I can't imagine not getting at least one of these anytime I'm in the market, I look forward to trying the various focaccias and other breads when I revisit.
