This review is from my husband because I don't like seafood. I did try the shrimp and it was honestly the only shrimp I really liked. That garlic flavor was insanely good. Especially because you can mix it with the rice and gives it even more flavor. There was no line when we got there for lunch during the week. Honestly it was better than we expected it to even be. Easy parking
I love a good shrimp truck and this one did not disappoint! Hands down the spicy pineapple is my favorite, I love anything sour/spicy and this had a hint of sweetness too. My friends loved the hawaiian scampi as well, it had a more buttery flavor so definitely try it out if you're into that! Big flavor from both and their mac salad is great too. It's within a food truck park so lots of other food options/drinks/desserts too!

I got their Hawaiian scampi plate and it was soo good!! The shrimp was cooked perfectly and it was so flavorful. Love the mac salad too! Great balance of flavors!
We came here right at opening, and the person at the window was friendly and welcoming. We ordered the pineapple shrimp plate, and it was ready in about 10 minutes, just as mentioned. The food was absolutely amazing. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the pineapple sauce had a great balance of sweet and spicy flavors. The portion size was generous as well. I personally didn't enjoy the crab slaw as much, but my husband really liked it. Overall, we'd definitely recommend this place.

Omg YUM. I'm not typically a shrimp fanatic but we got some of the garlic shrimp and it was delicious! A bit pricey but definitely some of the freshest, sweet shrimp we've had with awesome flavors. Unfortunately they were out of the Mac salad by the time we arrived (around noon on a Saturday) but the shrimp was totally fine on its own.
After watching an IG feed of a guy I just adore, it was time to come check out the best shrimp he has ever had. Cash only and wait is a good 15-20 minutes for a dozen #30-35 shrimp that were overcooked and lacking in spiciness with a few pieces of canned pineapple. Yes, there are two big scoops of rice and Mac salad with the fake crab meat in it. Price is okay for what you get and I like the sweetness of the sauce but very little heat. Love the seating which are painted picnic tables under a sturdy cover which helps to protect from the sun. Not sure if come back again. Compared to Oahu shrimp trucks, they are better for me but you always judge for yourself please. Mahalo

Located in a food truck lot, they specialize in tasty shrimp where you can have it many ways! The garlic shrimp version is the best, it is so tasty and savory I love it! Definitely fixed my hawai'i garlic shrimp craving! read more
hawaiian scampi shrimp plate ($18) - all plates come with 12 pieces of shrimp and theyre pretty jumbo and snappy too! I do think it can be even more jumbo and snappy but it's already satisfactory - i didn't taste much garlic and id personally prefer more but i like how it wasn't too oily - i liked it but nothing really stood out; it's a pretty basic and plain shrimp dish served with rice rating: 3.8/5 - it is pretty solid but could definitely be better; the garlic shrimp i had in honolulu was better and hit the spot immediately - quick service; didnt have much of a wait - has plenty of cute benches and shade to dine - ambiance is cute and like a campground IG: @nom.noms.only read more
Came back, still cash only. One of the better garlic shrimp trucks. They even have a smaller portion now too. We got their Hawaiian scampi plate, comes with 12 pieces of shrimp, about $20. And then I got a spicy shrimp bowl, comes with 8 shrimp, about $14. The spicy was decent, it's really the garlic one you want. Food truck food court type of thing. Order, find a bench, eat, and be on your way. read more

Honestly maybe the best thing we ate in Maui. Came here for a quick lunch on a weekday afternoon, and ordered the pineapple shrimp plate to share. There was no line, and this truck is cash only but I would highly recommend! The shrimp had a lot of sauce on it and bits of pineapple (canned but still good). The sauce was a little spicy but not overwhelming. Also came with rice and mac salad, as typical plate lunches do. I almost wish I got my own plate haha. This will def be a place I go to again next time I am in Maui . read more

Got to stop by the food truck park during my time in Maui. So many different options for you to try. I went with the hot and spicy shrimp platter. There were plenty of other flavor options as well including garlic and pineapple shrimp. The portion size was great. I had some to enjoy and some to enjoy later! I wish my shrimp had a little more spice and flavoring, but overall it was a good dish to try. The service was good, of course it was a busier day so it took a little bit for our food to come, but the staff was very friendly. There are plenty of seating options under there covered tent in the center of all of the food trucks. The parking lot is a little tight, but there are parking options. Take note that their restroom options are Porta potty so keep that in mind before you come! read more

If you're flying in and you're hungry, be sure to stop by first before heading to your hotel-- you won't regret it! The truck is cash only-- so make sure you have some on hand!! You're gonna want to try everything! My son is 5 and won't stop asking for the shrimp scampi from here! We also got the hot and spicy and ooooou it was spicy haha. The Mac salad is also so good! This was one of my favorite places to eat in the island. I'd definitely come back during our next visit! The staff is really friendly and there's some picnic tables to share in a common area between all of the other food trucks. read more

Absolutely delicious!!! After seeing so many rave reviews about Geste on instagram, we stopped by after landing from our flight!! It was only 7 minutes from the OGG Kahului airport and was the perfect pick me up when you're starving after a flight. Something to note is that they are cash-only, but I saw they also accept Venmo via a QR code! All the 12 shrimp plates are $20 flat. Geste shrimp truck is located in a little food truck area with other vendors. The tables were clean and cutely decorated and there were sunshades overhead to keep us cool and away from the intense noon sunlight. Spicy Pineapple Shrimp 10/10: Such a great portion, two people shared the 12 shrimp plate and it left us both full. The shrimp was so flavorful and garlicky without being overly salty. It also wasn't too spicy (maybe a 3/10 spice level !). The pineapple added such a nice bite of tanginess and sweetness, we wish there was more of it! The mac salad was also so delicious, fresh, and creamy. I'd highly highly recommend Geste's and this cute food truck area if you're flying in/out of OGG!! read more
Located at the food trucks across the street from Costco. * CASH ONLY* They have their own parking lot for food trucks which is nice. Was craving some butter garlic shrimp and Geste Shrimp truck came up as a rec on Yelp. Thought we'd give it a try. It turned out to be the perfect dinner after doing road to Hana. My husband and I shared one plate of the shrimp plate (Hawaii's scampi flavor) which is just butter and garlic. The plate is served with 12 pc of shrimp, two scoops of rice, and one scoop of crab Mac salad. The portion size is pretty large. It was a little salty but overall, still delicious. Sauce ks super garlicky and buttery. Everything you would want on the shrimp! If ever you're craving a shrimp plate - this is the place to go. Please be aware that you'll have to wait a little bit to get your food. It's made fresh to order but nothing too long. Maybe about 10-15 minutes. I did love that there was covered searing area between all the food trucks. It was like a little picnic area. read more

After 10+ years and here's my update. It's still the best garlic butter shrimp I've had, even after trying a few trucks in O'ahu! When I last went it's $13 a plate, now it's $20; but at least their quality is keeping up with the inflation. I love how they give so much sauce to eat with the rice. It's definitely not for the health-conscious folks but hey if you're on vacation, yolo. The shrimp was succulent and plump, and it's easy to shell. Everything was delicious! The lady said it would take 25 mins but my order came out in less than 15 mins. She's also friendly to answer my questions. And CASH ONLY. The truck is now in a food truck complex with other trucks around, and even a big tent with picnic tables, away from the sun and rain. Pretty open and comfortable, the only thing is the amount of flies that would come pester you. So if you have some sort of fly repellent, bring it wear it. always a great stop to go to right after landing at Kahului! read more

They had me at garlic shrimp - YUM! There's plenty of parking in this food truck area- plenty of options so it's good for big groups/indecisive people. They charge $20 for a plate of shrimp (12), 2 scoops of rice, 1 scoop of crab mac salad. They have 5 different flavors of shrimp but the most popular is the hawaiian scampi which is garlic butter. This was SO flavorful, a little on the saltier side by itself but perfect with rice. I just wish the shrimp was peeled. My friends said the mac salad was too peppery but I didn't notice that. read more

This five-star review is long overdue!!! Geste Shrimp is one of THE best bites on the island and absolutely worth waiting for. Located at Plate Lunch Marketplace, this food truck is right by Costco. There's a shaded outdoor seating area with plenty of picnic tables. When we went, it was pretty windy, so hold on to your hats (and food LOL)!! Husband and I ordered a Hawaiian Scampi plate, which comes with 12 pieces of shrimp, rice, and crab mac salad. SO INSANELY YUMMY. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and bursting with garlicky buttery goodness, and the crab mac salad was SO savory and flavorful -- the BEST mac salad I've ever had. It was so good that we had it for lunch AND dinner that day :) read more
We landed at the airport and Geste was very close by. It's right in front of the Costco close to the Maui airport. We ordered the Hawaiian Scampi and Spicy Pineapple. My favorite was the spicy pineapple but both were very good and seasoned very well. There's a lot of food trucks close by but I'm glad I ate this. It was a very filling lunch because we were both so hungry. There's a lot of different food trucks in the same area which was very convenient to try different food options. read more

The Hawaiian scampi was also amazing, loaded with garlic and classic local flavor. Portions were generous, the rice soaked up all the sauce, and everything tasted fresh and made with care. Located across the airport, food truck galore!! This caught our eye since we were craving shrimp! Lots of flavors to choose from, I chose the Hawaiian scampi which was basically garlic butter! You can never go wrong with that! My shrimp bowl was PACKED with flavor ugh so good. The only downside was that they kept the shell on :/, BUT they did butterfly it open. Rice was overflowing too. Geste shrimp truck is a laid back spot serving hawaiian plates and a great stop for new visitors. I tried their hawaiian scampi shrimp plate and it was very delicious and filling!! My friend and I found ourselves very thirsty afterwards as the entire dish was quite salty and heavy. I've tried a few shrimp plates in Hawaii and I think their Mac salad is one of my favorites! Soon as I landed to Maui, I crave for something different, food wise, I stumbled upon this place by Costco food truck... and I can say I really love the seasonings they put on their sauce, the shrimp was amazing and not gummy or hard. I even ate the shells, that's how good it was. The place is a friendly area, where people get to talk and share the food while enjoying the time eating. I like the place it's clean and it's funny there's chicken everywhere. I actually came back the following day for lunch after my tour from Maui gold. read more

We ordered the spicy pineapple shrimp place which come with 12 shrimps, 2 scoops of white rice and crab mac salad. The spicy pineapple shrimp was delicious and the shrimp was cooked to perfection. The sweetness of maui pineapples coupled with the spices added amazing flavors to the overall dish. They are cash only and service is quick. There are plenty of tables to sit in this area as there are several other food trucks in this same complex. Highly recommend them to get your shrimp cravings satisfied. read more
If I could give this 10 stars I would. I got the hot and spicy shrimp and it was packed full of flavor. The crab mac served on the side was delicious best mac ive ever had. And the rice i would literally take the rice soak it in the sauce and eat it like that it was that good. First meal in Hawaii so it's gotta be a shrimp truck!! I got the Hawaiian Scampi shrimp plate and it did not disappoint, the flavor was there, and a good size of shrimps. The crab salad was seasoned well and it's great for 1 person. The service was pretty quick, they gave you a ticket and waited for your number to be called. Oh, and it's CASH ONLY! This place is conveniently near the airport and there are lots of trucks to choose from. read more

Geste Shrimp offers numerous different flavors of shrimp. We ordered the Spicy Pineapple and the Hot and Spicy shrimp. The Spicy Pineapple came with chunks of grilled pineapple and was delicious. The Hot and Spicy also had excellent flavor. We couldn't decide which we liked better. Service was quick and they had tables available for seating nearby. read more

Is the shrimp cooked with the shell or is it already peeled?
It's with the shell but the shell is split down the middle and very easy to peel!
Take out orders?
Yes, you can do take out orders. Call ahead and order at (808) 298-7109. Just be careful on the drive home as there is a lot of sauce and the smell might tempt you to eat it before you get to your destination. Enjoy. Aloha.
Is this walkable from airport?
I'd say no, especially if you have luggage. Grab a Lyft and you'll have time to enjoy your meal,

Is there a place to sit and eat?
Not really. People bring chairs & towels or sit on the few logs. We ate in the car. Bring wet wipes for your fingers. Yummy but a little messy!
