Typical Broker. Tell you what you want to hear to get you on there books. Then they do whatever they like. Gave me a quote and a deposit amount of $270 specifically told me they would not run the Card until day of pick up. I questioned this numerous times on the phone. David Meir repeated numerous times not until day of pickup. They ran the card the next day and increased the deposit by $100 to $370 without contacting me first. The song and dance I got from the Owner David Pein was pathetic. The way he spoke to me a customer was pathetic at best as well. Telling me he ships 10,000 vehicles a year he doesn't need my money. I had been speaking with Eddie for three weeks, he took a deposit, then when my vehicle was ready to be picked up from the sea port, he disappeared. wouldnt respond to any calls, or text messages. I called their dispatch, and the woman that answered was rude and unhelpful, then i was told another man would handle my delivery. again, the new guy, didnt call, wouldnt respond to my calls ect. i was then required to pay storage fees for two days at the port until i was able to locate another company to pick up my vehicle. total trash operation and i would never recommend them to anyone. read more

If you're reading this review, stop and find another company. I called 5/16/17 for a mid-June pick up. The deposit of $90 would be collected when a driver was assigned. Surprise! $125 was charged to my credit card the next day with no explanation. Window for pick-up was 6/12-6/14. Having had no contact on the 12th, I called on the 13th to see when my car would be picked up. I was told the driver backed out. Really. Then I was told drivers wouldn't commit 30 days ahead, yet my credit card was charged. Ended up having my wife drive the 12 hour trip. Asked for refund on 6/15. I received an email from David Pein stating credit was issued and confirmation would be emailed. Eight days later, no credit and no confirmation. Email today said "I'll look into it immediately". My almost 80 year-old father arranged for seven cars to be transported from CA to Arizona. Communication was bad once the deal was set. Transport arrived 2 1/2 hours late at 9:30 PM. At 11:30 PM the driver announced the last car wouldn't fit, and all the cars needed to be unloaded and reloaded. Dad told them they were done. Transport said they'd be back for the last car. They arrived in Arizona a day early, and at 9:30 PM again. Great first impression with the new neighbors. In good faith we paid for all seven cars, thinking they would make good on their promise to pick up the last car. After failing to show up for the last car twice, we towed it ourselves. When asked for a refund, Get it Done told us they would call us back the same day, twice. Emailed them also, nothing. Gave my dad and brother the story they were late, or did not show because the prior pick up had an issue with the car keys. Coincidence huh. Unfortunate they took advantage of my dad. read more

Update: David has reached out to me to try to resolve the issue, which I appreciate. My experience was otherwise positive and I will update more as he communicates with me. I have put off writing this review because I was hoping my experience was unique and the folks at Get it Done would resolve it, but that has not been the case. I received a quote from them early in 2017 to transport my car from Boston to Houston. It was more affordable than other companies, not excessively, but enough for me to notice. I called again in July to get another quote, as they had been the cheapest the first time around. To my surprise, Kat offered to honor the original quote despite it having expired. I went ahead and booked the transport with them and crossed it off my to do list. In addition to charging the deposit to my card, they charged an additional $140. When I asked Kat, she told me it was a mistake and asked me to forward her the email receipt so she could have David reverse it. I did this, and received no response. Our pick up and receiving window was pretty flexible, so the actual transport went well enough. I reached out to Kat after the fact and she assured me the reversal would be done soon. I checked my card statement regularly and never saw the $140 credited back. I honestly gave them a lot of leeway because hurricane Irma had recently hit Florida and they may have seen some damage. After months, I got tired of calling Kat and never receiving a call back, so I finally decided to just dispute the charge with my credit card company and left her a message out of courtesy. She called me back early the next morning, asking if I had already started the process. As luck (for them) would have it, I had meant to do it that evening. She assured me my information was on David's desk and he would take care of it ASAP. I again waited, and kept an eye on my statement. I called him, and he took full resoonsibility for the delay and promised to call me when he got back to his desk. One week later, still no call so I reached out again. David explained he could not reverse the transaction because it had been too long, so he would send me a check. He promised to call me later with the tracking information. Two weeks, no call and no check. I called again and he, as others have mentioned, promised to call me back "in a few minutes." That was a week ago. And... surprise, surprise, my credit card company now tells me too much time has passed and I can no longer dispute it. read more

I was calling him and leaving messages. He said my car might be picked up a day early, which I said was fine. When the day came, I never heard from him. On Friday, the day scheduled for pickup, I called to see what time. No answer. Left word and have never heard from him since. He was to pick up my car Friday and now it is Saturday. Do not use this company. It is totally unreliable. I have ask for my deposit back, I am sure I will have to get my bank involved. I did get a call from David today, with my refund and an apology. They NEVER picked up my car nor did they call me to tell me they weren't coming.Finally my wife was able to talk to David and once again he lied to her and said he had a truck on it's way,this is 2 weeks later. So fast forward 2 weeks later,my wife FINALLY gets a hold of him and tells him we just want a refund of our $220. David says that he would give us full refund plus an additional $100 to help me with my rental car expense since my car was NEVER delivered. David does NOT return phone calls. The car was delivered two days later than promised and no-one told me cash had to be paid when the car was delivered. Have a vehicle to move? Want to drive back across country in a rental car to pick up the vehicle because the company you hired never picked it up or kept you updated about it? Then Get It Done will definitly get that done for you! When I first called Kat after getting an email from David, they said "Youre moving and need your car to follow you? We'll Get It Done[tm] on the 31st!" I was like "Wow, thats impressive! My car will be there the same day I get there pretty much!" Two days later I called Kat to see where we were at and she wasnt around, most likely enjoying the holidays. So I got in touch with David. David was stoicly nice about it and said they would Get It Done right away." Four days after it was supposed to be delivered I called again and David told me with the confidence of a 5 star, D rated BBB company that they would have it either that day or at the latest two days more. I was so happy to have my car sitting five states away while I sat inmovably in a place where everything is a half hour away. Three more days passed and David and Kat werent picking up anymore. By this point I was forced to rent a car, which gave me the chance to drive a new Chevy Equinox which ends up, I really liked the car. The best part about the rental car was that I got to spend a day and a half or headaches, tolls, traffic and fatigue driving that Chevy Equinox from my new location through Five states (which I am thankful for getting to see them all) to pick up my car at my old house and turn around and drive it right back through those five states again. Two days after that Kat called, Not David, to tell me that they were greatful for my service to their company and that at the end they were only going to charge me "like 20 bucks to Get It Done [tm]" which was a very nice thing. That means instead of the 425 they promised me to move the truck, after the days or work I missed without it and then the rental car, It only cost me about 1200 dollars instead! WHAT A DEAL! I even offered for David to pay my rental car fee and he has not replied to my emails or called, I assume he is just sick or "GETTING IT DONE" with some other lucky persons vehicle transport needs. Thanks Get It Done? So if you want to hire someone to do a job that they will never do and you will only have to hire another company or do it your self, Get It Done will get it done! We agreed with company to have them pick up our Hyundai on March 11 or March 12 from Sun City, AZ for tranport to Setauket, NY. Our credit card was debited on January 23 the required $190 deposit. As the date for scheduled pickup approached, the owner Kat Jolly admitted that there might be a problem with the pickup, since most of their fleet was on the east coast due to the several recent storms. On the last of the possible pickup dates, owner told me that they would refund my deposit. Repeated contact to company hasn't generated a refund to my credit card, nor even the courtesy of a reply. Had they issued a refund, I could understand the difficulties, and might have given them a 2 or even 3 star review, but I have lost patience. I have also just submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. Within 30 minutes of filing this "1 star' review, I got a phone call from the owner, Dave, who apologised and told me that he issued a full refund to my credit card. He submitted the following to me: "Jim I sent you a receipt showing the deposit was done. I am sorry it came to this. it was nothing more then an honest hiccup. You were very patient and I assure you it was nothing malicious. I am a amily owned business and do things on the up and up. Being family owned our integrity is very inportant. Please update your review showing you received a confirmation email that the deposit was refunded." I did get an email showing my deposit was refunded. I assume that the refund will appear on my online credit card transactions within a day or so. In response to his apology, I modified my review rating from one star to two star. read more

Get it Done delivered my car eight days late and broke many of their promises to me in the process. In early June I got a quote from Get it Done to transport my car across the country. Their website states: "We guarantee all our quotes for 30 days. That doesn't mean you have to ship within 30 days, but you do have to book within 30 days of receiving our quote to get our fixed-rate guarantee." I did book within a few days of my quote, which was an all inclusive $1,290. The amount I ended up paying, including Get it Done's fee, was $1,640. Get it Done's website also states: "We never require a deposit. We will never have you pay a driver directly. You will not be charged until the driver picks up your car. Even then, your driver will not be paid until they deliver so they remain highly motivated to complete the task." However, I was forced to pay a $190 deposit. Still, I went with them because they told me they would make sure I got my car on July 2nd. Then, in late June, before my car was supposed to be picked up, I did not hear from them, and after trying to reach them for several days, I was told my car would be picked up a few days later than initially promised. But I was assured the car would still arrive on July 2nd. After two more days of trying to get in touch with them and not hearing anything, I was told that they needed to find me a new driver and that the car would now be delivered July 3rd or 4th. My car was not delivered July 3rd, or 4th, and I never heard from the driver. Every day, I tried to call Get it Done and ask them what was going on, and either they would not pick up or return my calls, or they would let me know that they would call me back and try to get the situation figured out. However, I never got any calls back and never got any information from them about what was getting "figured out." The next date they gave me for delivery was Monday, July 5th, and Tuesday the 6th at the very latest. When my car did not come at that time, they assured me it would come Wednesday July 7th. On Wednesday, when my car did not come, I was finally able to contact the driver myself, and was told that the car was expected to arrive over the weekend. Ultimately, my car was delivered to me July 10, and I was forced to pay the driver directly, despite Get it Done's promise that I would not personally be forced to pay the driver. Throughout the process, I was in active contact with Get it Done, communicating my concerns. I asked them repeatedly for what they could to make the situation right, and was never given any answers. Finally, upon receiving the car, I asked them for a refund due to their very late delivery and broken promises. They refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing on their part whatsoever, refused to refund me for the deposit I gave them, and called me a "bully." Further, they attempted to intimidate me into not opening a dispute with my credit card, falsely stating that for me to do so would be illegal. I am appalled at Get it Done. This has been the worst experience I have ever had dealing with any company. read more

I just moved from Florida to California for a job and needed my car shipped there. After checking up on various car transport companies, I thought Get It Done Transportation could do the job in a timely and ethical manner. Unfortunately, I was mistaken. When I called David to schedule the transport, I was told that the car would be picked up on Monday and a deposit would be charged to my credit card when that happened (the rest would be charged when the car was delivered). David estimated the delivery date to be within 5-7 days of pickup, but the carrier would give me a more accurate ETA. The car was picked up on Monday as promised and all seemed well. My card was charged for the deposit and I received an email confirming the pick up with a delivery date of Thursday, which was MUCH better than expected. I was pretty happy...except, the carrier (Aimee Trucking Corp) apparently only accepted cash, money order, or cashiers check. Okay, so not quite as expected but that was fine. I picked up a money order and tucked it safely away for Thursday. Except, Thursday came and went without a call from the carrier company. Aggravating, but I understood there were delays and by David's quote, it could arrive at the VERY LATEST Sunday (even though I was told Thursday). Come Sunday, I called David. No answer. I called the carrier company and they didn't even know where my car was. The lady who answered the phone was nice and told me she would help find out what happened to my car that was supposed to arrive THREE days prior. I didn't hear from her for the rest of the day. On Monday, on my way to work (which is a good hour away from my apartment), I get a call from the carrier company telling me that the car is being delivered TODAY in 4-6 hours. I'm both happy they found my car, and worried because 1. I did not bring my money order with me (I don't like carrying around that high value of a money order on the BART unnecessarily) and 2. I was about 30 miles away from where my car was supposed to be dropped off because of the delay in days. It's okay though because after I explain to the lady my problems (which were caused by their inability to follow their schedule or give me prior notification), she tells me that they can accept my credit card and they can reroute the delivery to where I work. At this point, I'm just ecstatic because everything seems to be working out even though the car is 4 days late. 7 hours later (yes, an hour later than promised), I get a call from the driver, who tells me he's on his way and will be there in 30 minutes to an hour. 2 hours later (yes, again much later than promised but at this point, I know to expect this), the driver is finally here. Yay! I rush to the parking lot (in the middle of my work day) expecting that I'll just pay and get back with little fuss. Not quite. The delivery person speaks very poor English and cannot get the credit card app on his phone to work. Furthermore, he tells me I'll be charged an additional $50 ($10 for no reason, and then other $40 for "credit card fees"). I argue with him, but his response for everything is that he's just the delivery guy. He calls his company. I call David. Neither of us get through. I wait patiently (even though I'm VERY annoyed at these random upcharges) through the first half hour but by 45 minutes, I'm kind of upset. David still isn't answering so I leave a voicemail. After an hour passes, I literally am at the point of just leaving my car with him because I HAVE TO get back to work. Finally, I tell him to just write my credit card info down, which he does and leaves. Good riddance. While I acknowledge that most of the shenanigans I encountered were by the carrier company that was contracted, Get It Done is responsible for their actions and I still have no heard back from David about any of the issues I encountered. It's been almost a week since I left him that voicemail, not including the many calls prior to my car being delivered. In fact, looking back now, I haven't heard from him since my card was charged. So if I ever need to ship another card, I will NOT be using Get It Done Transportation. read more

After being given an estimate of 8 days, we proceeded to wait for over 6wks for this company to "try" to find a truck to transport our car. They never found one! You did NOT come through on your promises and failed to live up to your expectations. I'm sure it's easy to coordinate trucks between major cities, but you bit off more than you could chew. You botched the order, apologized profusely, and couldn't offer any sort of refund on the deposit. I still have yet to see a penny even though you swore I'd get it. You're slow to make up excuses. The third party transport outfit you booked for this deal had NOTHING good to say about you and recommended I work with them in the future. There is a reason why companies charge way more than GID, and that is because they are not crooked thieves with no customer service. I won't be doing business with GID. Keep the deposit, Davey. CANNOT BE MORE DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED!!! After receiving several quotes to transport my 2014 Honda Accord which is driven by my son, I decided to go with Get It Done Transportation, Inc. due to price. I spoke to Dave on August 7th to book the car move and provided him with a deposit in the mount of $170.00 and was informed that the remaining balance of 800.00 would be paid to the driver upon delivery. Dave informed my that the vehicle would be picked up by no later than Friday, August 9th and would be delivered to my new home in Florida within 5 business days. I provide contact information for the driver to contact a family friend who was housing the Accord and would be the point of contact for the pickup. I was informed by Dave that the driver would reach out to my contact by Thursday the 8th. I received a call from my family friend/contact on the 9th informing me that he had not been contacted by the driver. I left a voice message for David and sent him a text message, informing him that the driver did not call and did not pick up the vehicle. David did not call me back, so on Monday, August 11th I called and left another message and sent another text. I did not receive a response so I called again on Tuesday the 12th and reached David. He acted surprised and told me he would contract tve drive, who would reach out to the contact storing the car by the following day, Wednesday, August 13th. The driver never called and the vehicle was not picked up. This circle has continued numerous times. Sometimes I can reach David and other times I have to leave a message, which is no guarantee that he will return my call. On the 16th, David told me that he would contact the driver and if I had not heard from the driver by 3:00 PM EST, to call David back. No call received by 3:00 PM so I called David and reached his voice mail (gone for the weekend). It is now Tuesday, August 20th, and I still have not received a call from David for the last message I left on the 16th. I just tried to contact him and was forced to leave a voice message again. This ongoing struggle has been extremely impactful and has caused me and my son's grandmother to have to juggle our schedules to drive my son to and from work every day that the vehicle has not been delivered. Based on the above details, which include: extremely poor communications, zero follow-up and repeatedly missed deadlines, I cannot recommend this transportation company to anyone in need of auto transport. **caution** the owner will steal from you. I used this company on August 16 of this month. The owner David quoted me for 940.00 to ship my vehicle from california to florida. The email in which the quote was posted specifically stated that there were no hidden fees. I accepted the service for the 940. David the owner asked me if the car was drivable and I told him it was not I specified that the dealership was able to drive it for a little but that I was shipping it because I could not drive it. He accepted the job and asked me for a 240 dollar deposit. And i wiuld have to pay 700 dollars whennu received the car. After I payed he assured me that the car would be shipped the next day. I received a call from the company he hired the next day stating that they couldn't so the job. When I called David he stated that there was a misunderstanding and they would ship my car as soon as possible. A WEEK LATER. Another company he hired called and said that in order to get my vehicle it would be 755.00 instead of 700.00. When I called David to clarify he told me that it was 700 but he couldn't do anything about it. I HAD TO PAY 755. TO GET MY CAR BACK. after talking to David again he assured me that he would refund me the 55 dollars after I payed the company that was holding my car.. Today I checked my bank account after a month of first hiring this company. The money was not refunded. I have called several times and David the owner will not answer. I FEEL ROBBED. I've shipped my car plenty of times with other companies but Get It Done Transportation was by far the best customer service I've had. The price is also reasonable, which is a plus. I was also given a tracking number for my car, as well as digital photos of the car when it was picked up. I received my car with no damage and the trucking company bright it right to my door. Perhaps a more fair and mature review is due here. First off, I had a fairly decent time setting up a cross country transport and negotiating the price. The driver showed up on time but when it came time to take possession of my vehicle they marked up the condition of my vehicle in a way that would suggest it came straight from a demolition derby. The driver did not relent upon my objection to this, so I started taking photos of my vehicle with the driver in the background as proof of it's condition. I also crossed out a large portion of the liability limits portion of the contract because it basically made them responsible for nothing, which is absurd when paying $825 for safe transport of such an expensive item. Don't be afraid to amend the contract, I doubt any driver is going to walk away from the deal once they are already there. After all, they are just freelancers who are scheduled by these companies (also they only charge $600 and do all the work less the booking and billing). My vehicle arrived early (3 days total from Vegas to Atlanta) and was in the exact same condition. However, the items in the back of my vehicle were in disrepair. I had a very lightweight hanging picture in a frame and the bottom was scratched horrifically as if someone would have had to go out of their way to drag the 10lb item across concrete. Also, another original painting on the canvas had a giant hole right through it. I rang the owner, Dave, upon the discovery a few hours after the drop off and explained that I would like to know what happened. He said it was likely done by the DOT because they often inspect the vehicles. I asked him politely to get the info from the driver on exactly where and when my items were inspected so I could file a official complaint --after all, nobody has the right to be negligent with another's personal property. No call back. Ever. And that is very rude, so the whole experience is now a rotten memory due to Dave's laziness or a fear of having to take some responsibility for allowing another to damage my property when it was under your care. I SUGGEST BOOKING THROUGH ANOTHER - THEY ALL PRETTY MUCH USE THE SAME POOL OF DRIVERS & FOR A $225 CUT OFF THE TOP I WOULD EXPECT A CALL BACK. ITS NOT LIKE THEY DO MUCH ELSE. read more

I posted about two weeks ago and just saw that this company commented back on my review... They apologized for being delayed on picking up my car. There was no delay because I had more than enough time before I needed my car shipped when I first spoke with this company. He also mentioned that I panicked and went to another company that told me that this company was a scam. There was no panic because again, I was in no rush.. They seemed sketchy after my first phone call with them and I'm upset I didn't back out then.. He also said that no deposit is taken until they found a truck to take my car. Once again, a lie! They took my deposit immediately and then never even told me that they found a driver until after they FINALLY answered their phone and told me that they found a driver for me, in a tone like I should've known this already. I'm not at all angry. I'm just trying to save people their time and money and to not make the same mistake that I did. Cheers! read more
